Saw this last night on Fox and had such a good laugh, I feel obliged to pass it along today. There’s no way to prove he said it, but as Megyn Kelly’s quick to show with archived audio, that quote is well in line with the kind of crap Obama was telling himself and the rest of the electorate circa 2007. The most famous summation of his I-am-the-change approach to problem-solving is this one from Andrew Sullivan, written right around the time that audio was recorded: What does he offer? First and foremost: his face. Think of it as the

The world Obama sees is the world of the fellow travelers working behind the scenes to create dissent and then revolution. Out of revolution will come the great nanny state that will take all your money and occasionally assure you that they the elite are doing wonderful things with your money. And let me tell you, the fellow travelers are delighted with Obama´s progress.

It is very rare-to-never that the great Allahpundit makes an analytical mistake, but he makes a big one here. He assumes The Lightbringer, a Leftist, was (and is) against "retrograde forces". This assumes Leftists, whether occupying the Oval Office or not, are on the side of civilisation, when clearly and demonstrably they are not. Leftists thrive on and gain power from retrograde forces, as Leftism is itself the essence of retrograde.

Forgiven, Allahpundit.
