Al-Qaeda leader announces India wing
Al Jazeera [Doha, Qatar] & Agencies, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 9/3/2014 7:05:34 PM

Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri has announced the formation of an Indian branch of his global armed group that he said would spread Islamic rule and "raise the flag of jihad" across the subcontinent. In a video spotted in online "jihadist" forums on Wednesday by the SITE terrorism monitoring group, Zawahiri said the new force would "crush the artificial borders" dividing Muslim populations in the region. Al-Qaeda is active in Afghanistan and Pakistan, where its surviving leadership are thought to be hiding out, but Zawahiri said the group would take the fight to India, Myanmar and Bangladesh.

Comments:
The cancer that is Al Qaeda spreads. Which is more of an immediate threat, terrorism or the Ebola virus? Notice that they will be getting new recruits from the poorest of nations?

Islam is on the march and the western world dithers about in political correctness. Diversity is jihad in disguise.

How can this be? Obama has told us Osama is dead and Al-Qaeda is on the run.

On MSNBC´s Hardball tonight, host Chris Matthews argued with Obamacare architect Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel about President Obama saying it was "unlikely" that an Ebola case would strike the U.S. "Obama said it was unlikely. It has happened. It´s here," Matthews said. Dr. Emanuel said there is some "fear mongering" going on here, but Matthews said he was just quoting the president and stating facts. Here´s a bit of the argument that lasted nearly ten minutes: Chris Matthews : I´m just trying to follow the logic here. Who’ll be the next attorney general? Washington’s favorite parlor game is filling Cabinet vacancies; I like playing as much as the next pundit. (Keep reading!) Still, the more telling question is: Why are we playing this game at all? Why wasn’t the White House, which knew for months that Eric H. Holder Jr. was itching to leave, ready to roll with a successor? More important, given Holder’s foot inching toward the door, why did it not time this departure more intelligently — rather than having it arrive just before an election and the prospect of Democrats losing control of the Senate?

Oregon pols battle over when to

Cover Oregon was supposed to be a shining example of ObamaCare at its best. The state insurance exchange for the state of Oregon received $300 million in federal grants to launch a state-of-the-art website. But it never worked, and not a single Oregonian was able to sign up for health care from start to finish. So now, Oregon is in the process of pulling the plug on the site and switching over to the federal exchange and HealthCare.gov -- but the question is, how quickly they can do it. “We need to move forward and do the best thing for the people of Oregon,” Republican State Sen. Tim Knopp said, “and I think that’s ending Cover Oregon as

From the crisis in Ferguson, Mo., to the cultural impact of Robin Williams´ and Joan Rivers´ sudden deaths and all the way up to recent round-the-clock coverage of U.S. strikes on ISIS, cable news has been heavily occupied. The last three months have been so big, Fox News Channel just clocked its first quarter with the most-watched primetime across all of cable in more than a decade — even besting USA and ESPN. The average 1.79 million viewers between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., Monday through Friday, gave FNC its first quarter atop the dial since the Iraq War broke out in 2003. A man with a gun that the Secret Service did not know about rode in an elevator with President Obama during his visit to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta on Sept. 16. The previously undisclosed breach, confirmed by two sources familiar with the case, raises new questions about the agency´s ability to protect the president. The incident, which took place three days before an intruder jumped a fence and sprinted inside the White House, involved a failure in Secret Service advance work to prevent an armed man from coming into close proximity with Obama while he was visiting the CDC to receive a

Washington - The Obama Administration announced Tuesday that it will pick up the bill for immigration attorneys who will be assigned to unaccompanied children from Central America and elsewhere who are stopped at the U.s. border. Dallas and Houston are two of a handful of cities where the money will be spent, a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said in a phone call to The News Tuesday. The program starts today and will be funded with $9 million between now and the end of the next fiscal year. In all, the funds are estimated to be enough to pay for lawyers for more than 2,600 children.

Intelligence officials are said to oppose being more forthcoming about who has been subjected to surveillance, especially in cases involving noncitizens abroad — who do not have Fourth Amendment privacy rights — because such information would tip them off that the National Security Agency had intercepted their communications. For President Obama, the color of a man’s skin is far more important than the content of his character. On the night when a police officer was shot in a Missouri town torn by racial strife, the president donned a shiny tuxedo to attend a ritzy black awards dinner, where he said police nationwide are to blame for community mistrust, even claiming that “most Americans” think the country is racist. Remember, when Ferguson exploded in racial rage in August, Mr. Obama chose not to curtail his 15-day vacation, spending day after day on the golf course in the white-skinned, white-wined, millionaire playground

WASHINGTON — The Senate’s minority whip is confident about Republicans being the majority in the 114th Congress — if conservatives can set aside differences and work to combat the massive influx of donor cash that has Democratic campaigns ahead in the money race. Only in the majority, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) stresses, can conservatives make headway on tamping down overregulation, repealing and replacing Obamacare, securing the “chaotic” border, getting Keystone XL moving, and bringing civilized debate back to the upper chamber. And only by realizing the gravity of the battle for November, he argues, can Republicans relegate Harry Reid (D-Nev.)

The president then cited lower unemployment, private sector job growth, and deficit cuts as evidence of his administration’s success. “I can put my record against any leader around the world in terms of digging ourselves out of a terrible, almost unprecedented financial crisis,” Obama said. Just two weeks into the new season of “The View,” co-hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg tore into each other during a commercial break — in front of their stunned studio audience. O’Donnell refuses to wear an earpiece to stay in contact with producers while the live show is airing, so she had no clue it was time to stop talking.

Sacramento, Calif. - Gov. Jerry Brown on Tuesday signed legislation imposing the nation's first statewide ban on single-use plastic bags, driven to action by a buildup of litter and damage to aquatic ecosystems. A national coalition of plastic bag manufacturers immediately said it would seek a voter referendum to repeal the law, which is scheduled to take effect in July 2015. Under SB270, plastic bags will be phased out of large grocery stores starting next summer and convenience stores and pharmacies in 2016. The law allows grocers to charge a fee of at least 10 cents for using paper bags. State Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Los Angeles,

Here’s how to reinforce that belief: Sit out the 2014 congressional elections because your favorite candidate lost his primary bid to an establishment Republican. If you live in Kansas, for example, you can suck your thumb while Democrat ringer Greg Orman beats Republican Senator Pat Roberts. If you’re a Kentucky conservative, you can stay home and b***h about Mitch while Alison “Rubberstamp” Grimes heads to Washington.
