The last video of Michael Brown was taken from a Ferguson convenience store during a strong-arm robbery. A hearing was held this morning at 10:30 AM in St. Louis County seeking the release of any juvenile records that might exist on the central figure in the Ferguson deadly shooting case. Jim Hoft @gatewaypundit Follow Lawyers state no records exist of second degree murder and #mikebrown #Ferguson 12:16 PM - 3 Sep 2014 According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch 18 year-old Michael Brown did not have any serious felony convictions on his record. The Post Dispatch reported: Michael Brown was never

Comments:
There now appears to be parsing of words in the matter. The difference between convictions and charges of felony before Brown died. The judge has taken the release of documents under advisement. It´s sad to say in this day and age that unless you know if the judge is a Democrat or not may give you an idea of the decision. I couldn´t find any information on the political party of the judge.

"no serious felony convictions"...so, I guess that leaves the field wide open for the "Unserious" or silly felony convictions. One has to wonder at such a loaded headline.

I honestly don´t think I have ever heard of an unserious felony conviction. To me, any felony is quite serious.

Gotta love the wordsmithing. What about felony charges and reductions to misdemeanors?
Having spent a bit of time in court rooms, dealing with prosecutors and defense attorneys, the wording has a strong stench and raises concerns.

"No serious felony convictions" are weasel words. His arrest record is relevant. And so are any drug offenses, assault, battery, burglary, disorderly conduct charges and convictions on his rap sheet.

"Cynthia Harcourt, a lawyer for St. Louis County Juvenile Officer Kip Seeley, argued against releasing those records, but acknowledged that there were no convictions or active cases for the most serious types of felonies.

Class A felonies include second-degree murder and first-degree robbery; the penalties in adult court range from 10 years in prison to death. Class B felonies include voluntary manslaughter, second-degree robbery and first-degree burglary, with a maximum penalty of five to 15 years.

If Class B felonies are not serious, what is?

So...this says nothing about arrests, charges, dismissals re "the most serious types of felonies", or any convictions or active cases for less serious types of felonies.

And then there are misdemeanors.

In other words, it is obfuscation.

I´m no lawyer, but in Pennsylvania, a minor who is charged in juvenile court for any crime, is found not guilty or guilty of JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, not of a felony, unless the charge is moved to regular court.
I suspect Missouri is the same.

Trust me fellow L-Dotters the attitude that this thug showed on that video where he robbed that convience store and shoved the clerk out of the way told you all you needed to know. The "gimme dat!" way of thinking for Mikey Brown would have assured more "serious" convictions in his future. Just like in the case of Obama´s other son Trayvon Martin.
