San Francisco — A KRON television reporter covering the reopening of I-280 in San Francisco was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning. Police say it happened around 5am near 18th and Pennsylvania Streets in the city’s Potrero District. Police say the reporter was sitting in his van when two men opened the door and ordered him to the back before stealing his wallet as well as TV equipment before fleeing. Police say the two were only described as African-American men, wearing dark clothing. Their faces were covered with bandanas. The robbery is the latest involving members of the news media

Comments:
Democrat-on-Democrat crime, AKA biting the hand that helps feed and enable their antisocial behaviors. Watch the news media players start bringing along armed security, while pressing to deny that same right of self-protection to the rest of us.

They identified the suspects because their shorts are in a knot (and soiled) that their sanctified minority turned on them. If it was you or me or our grandmas, the reporters would suffer waterboarding rather than say a dark skin color did something bad.

Well, that matches the description of the ISIS dudes. This reporter is lucky his noggin didn´t go the way of Foley and Sotloff.

And one more thing... they say African-American. What makes them think they are American at all and not just African? We don´t have any borders any more so ANY one from anywhere in the world can waltz around the country lopping off heads at will. Hasn´t happened yet, but just wait.

Dumb reporters. As the crime was not so great, approval was given to label the perpetrator as an African-American what-not. A true reporter would have lied to his viewers. Such a shame, film clips of said crime were not shown on TeeVee.

Paterson – The city school district paid out more than $1.1 million for unused sick and vacation days to 47 former employees who retired on July 1. Most of the employees had been teachers, but the list also included a few maintenance workers and aides. The district disclosed the payouts in its monthly personnel report for September. Ten of the payouts exceeded $40,000, with retired principal Joseph Andriulli getting the largest amount - $49,170 for 90 unused days. The payments were all stipulated by labor contracts, officials said. Paterson’s municipal government has had to borrow money in recent years to pay retirees

Camden — It´s common knowledge among some neighbors on Newton Avenue that Martin Luther King Jr. once had family living on their street, and that the man himself would occasionally visit during the late 1940s. What´s also known is that the house, 940 Newton Ave., has turned into a classic, shameful example of what´s happened to thousands of other homes in Camden — vacant, boarded up and a homing beacon for prostitutes and junkies. Once saluted as America´s suburb, the San Fernando Valley has fallen on difficult times. Nestle USA announced last month that it would close the Chatsworth plant where Hot Pockets frozen sandwiches have been made since 1988, eliminating 360 jobs as it moves production to Kentucky. Not far behind, Sunkist Growers is moving out after four decades in the Valley, leaving its Sherman Oaks headquarters and heading to Santa Clarita. It would also prohibit people from using the cards to withdraw cash from ATMs in those stores. The House passed the bill Tuesday evening on a voice vote. It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

Washington - The Secret Service is coming under intense scrutiny after a man who hopped the White House fence made it all the way through the front door before being apprehended. President Barack Obama and his daughters had just departed the White House on Friday evening when an intruder scaled the north fence, darted across the lawn and into the presidential residence, where agents nabbed him. The security breach triggered a rare evacuation of much of the White House, with Secret Service officers drawing their guns as they rushed staffers and journalists out a side door.

Three and a half months have come and gone and the Pentagon has offered no clarity on what happened to alleged Army deserter and Taliban collaborator Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Fellow soldiers and other critics fear the military’s now-delayed investigation is shaping up to be a whitewash. The case has become a political powder keg for President Obama. Since he traded five imprisoned Taliban leaders for Bergdahl, the US Government Accountability Office has declared the swap illegal, and nearly two dozen House Democrats have joined Republicans in officially condemning the move for making “Americans less safe.”
