In his own words, the surreal
world Obama inhabits

People seem to be reading into President Obama´s positions on ISIS pretty much whatever they want to see: He´s wise and deliberate. He´s indecisive. He´s so far-sighted that ordinary Americans may be incapable of grasping his intellect. He´s late, as always, inept and clueless about dangerous issues of grave concern to nationwide. As Americans see countrymen beheaded on graphic videos, Obama and his team consistently seek to minimize spreading foreign violence as regional "challenges."

Obama has had great success speaking in general terms, using words that people want to hear while avoiding specifics, and letting them interpret what he means.

Remember Hope and Change?

Obama is one of the most liberal politicians in modern times to be elected to the presidency. His trick is to make himself sound very reasonable to the great unwashed, who after listening to Obama read hope and change words off his TelePrompTer go away happy. After which Obama swings back to the extreme left as he thinks the world should be, not as it is, as the great unwashed go back to the apolitical affairs of their normal lives not having a clue. He got elected twice using that trick.

I serve as Speaker of the Arizona House, and I’m the Republican candidate for Arizona’s First Congressional District. Day after day, the powers-that-be in Washington try to bury us in more regulations and more havoc. This has to stop. Not just here, but everywhere people are working harder only to have Washington take more of their money and more of their freedom. How do we restore the balance of power for hardworking

President Obama´s weekly remarks: As Commander in Chief, my highest priority is the security of the American people. And I’ve made it clear that those who threaten the United States will find no safe haven. Thanks to our military and counter-terrorism professionals, we took out Osama bin Laden, much of al Qaeda’s leadership in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and leaders of al Qaeda affiliates in Yemen and Somalia. We’ve prevented terrorist attacks, saved American lives and made our homeland more secure. Today, the terrorist threat is more diffuse, from al Qaeda affiliates and other extremists—like ISIL in Syria and Iraq.

Finally! Barack Obama spoke like a president Wednesday night. In his long overdue national address to Americans on the terrorist threat of ISIS, he spoke with clear purpose, well-crafted phrases and reasoning that made sense to attentive ears. He listed specific actions to degrade and destroy these masked murderers. He looked firm, resolute and determined to address this foreign threat that has frightened his countrymen. [Snip] Unfortunately, these 1,985 well-spoken words of Obama’s come in the context of a presidency that’s been degraded and virtually destroyed by his own actions -- and inactions.

President Obama was not trying to be funny when he informed NBC´s newest TV host that the presidency involves an element of theater. No kidding, Barack. But it came out hilariously from the guy who gave his 2008 nomination acceptance speech with a backdrop of fake Greek columns -- in Denver. [Snip] “Part of this job," Obama told Chuck Todd, "is also the theater of it. Well, it´s not something that always comes naturally to me." (Nationwide laughter.) The fact that Barack Obama is still fundraising at a record pace nearly two years after his final legal election isn´t surprising. Nor that his people are doing it while the boss traveled abroad dominating TV news through predictable photo-ops with other NATO leaders. All while ISIS continues its appalling slaughter in Iraq and Syria and Russia´s Putin prolongs his armed absorption of Ukraine. After all, no Democrat candidate in their left mind who´s interested in actually competing come Nov. 4 wants to be seen anywhere near this guy. Vice President Joe Biden gives President Obama´s weekly remarks: Ladies and gentlemen, this is Joe Biden, I’m filling in for President Obama, while he addresses the NATO summit in Wales. When the President and I took office in January of 2009, this nation was in the midst of the greatest economic crisis since the great depression. Our economy had plummeted at a rate of 8% in a single quarter — part of the fastest economic decline any time in the last half century. Millions of families were falling underwater on their homes and threatened with foreclosure. The iconic American automobile industry was under siege.

For someone who entered America´s national life as a bright man who was a Real Good Talker, Barack Obama has slid precipitously, not just in the polls but in public perceptions. Of course, he would never admit it; in fact, he would never comprehend it. But this continuing decline is, in large part, his own fault. Like cake, Obama wants his rhetoric and credibility too. President Obama in his ISIS speech did his best to convince the American people that things are under control, that he will pursue a coalition with other nations to degrade and ultimately destroy ISIS and that he will do it only through air strikes. Hillary Clinton has revealed that she worked through her husband’s affair whilst he was President by making him go through an agonising ´truth and reconciliation´ process. The former US Secretary of State said that she forced Bill Clinton into South Africa-style hearings where he had to be completely honest before she forgave him. She said she was inspired by the country´s former leader Nelson Mandela and that she had to act otherwise she would remain in a mental ´prison´ for the rest of her life. Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.

Even someone as savvy about everything as Michelle Obama sometimes flubs an outfit — or to put it more politely, wears something that doesn’t enhance her natural attractions. Which is not to say that’s all that matters about the first lady, who’s been busy with a variety of public events this week: registering voters in Georgia, cutting the ribbon on the renovated White House Visitors Center, commemorating the 9/11 terrorist attacks, even appearing in a videotaped shout-out to Prince Harry. Take a look at what she wore for all that. A little too full for her figure? (Photographs).. A flattering

His cynical grandstanding was rightly condemned — but he was hardly alone. Cruz agreed to speak to this group, which included bishops of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, ostensibly out of solidarity, but took the occasion to antagonize them over their insufficient praise for Israel, then smeared them as anti-Semites before dropping the mic. SAN DIEGO — African-American elementary students in California were chronically truant at nearly four times the rate of all students during the last school year, according to a state report released Friday. The report by the California Attorney General´s office is the first time the data has been broken down according to race and income levels. Officials say such data is needed to address the problem. Poverty and suspensions are contributing factors. Overall, more than 250,000 elementary school students missed 10 percent or more of the 2013-2014 school year or roughly 18 or more school days. Check your hygiene privilege. Cabbies who smell badly are probably just oppressed folks who came directly from their terrorist training camp to the airport and didn’t have time to change. Body odour is among 52 criteria that officials at San Diego International Airport use to judge taxi drivers. Cabbies say that smacks of prejudice and discrimination. It does discriminate between cabbies who smell like an open sewer and those who don’t. It further prejudges what a good smell is.
