Democrats’ 5-point campaign
plan for the fall

Washington Post, by Ed Rogers

Original Article

Posted By:garnet, 9/3/2014 9:19:52 AM

Now that Labor Day has passed, the 2014 campaign season is officially underway. By any measure, the Republicans seem to have the advantage and are poised to take control of the Senate in the midterm elections. The Democrats are struggling on just about every front. They do not have a credible economic agenda, and under President Obama, our country’s foreign policy has gone from bewildering to frightening. Of course, we’ll hear the standard Democratic talking points about increasing the minimum wage, making students loans “more affordable,” legislating equal pay (whatever that means) etc. – all their usual, warmed-over pledges to deliver

Democrats´ 5-big lies for the fall:
1) Terrorists simply need our love and understanding
2) The economy is smokin´ hot
3) Massive immigration is wonderful
4) Obamacare is great for everybody
5) We really, really, really care about you

I would add.
1. Massive vote fraud.
2. Politics of personal destruction through repeated lies, innuendos and mud slinging. 3.Abuse of executive authority to suppress key basic rights of opponents.

The liberal Democrat so-called comprehensive immigration reform program is nothing more then amnesty and future open borders camouflaged as a rolling guest worker program on into the future where the guest workers never really have to leave. Anyone with any sense knows that the USA does not need an additional 40-50 million mostly poor, uneducated, low skilled, non-English speaking foreign people who will have to be highly subsidized through government provided cash transfers, benefits, and services to survive here.

Tuesday´s climate summit at the U.N. may well mark a turning point in the long-running talks as the reality sinks in that they are heading nowhere. For sure, the rhetoric is unchanged. Recently appointed U.N. peace messenger Leonardo DiCaprio is the show’s newest star, telling the meeting that it was "humankind’s greatest challenge." But the older acts sounded stale. Former Vice President Al Gore demonstrated his green credentials when he said that political will was "a renewable resource," recycling a line he’d first used at the 2007 Bali climate conference. For small countries, the U.N. climate change talks provide an opportunity

One of Barack Obama’s best-remembered promises was, “If you like your health insurance, you can keep it.” But at the very same time the president was making that promise, lawmakers on Capitol Hill were drafting legislation that would make sure that promise could never be kept. We call it Obamacare. Moreover, the problem is not only that millions of people were unable to keep the plan they had in 2010, when the health reform law was passed. They are not likely to be able to keep for long any plan they have selected this year on a health insurance exchange.

It is now well known that the IRS targeted tea party organizations. What is less well known, but perhaps even more scandalous, is that the IRS also targeted those who would educate their fellow citizens about the United States Constitution. According to the inspector general’s report (pp. 30 & 38), this particular IRS targeting commenced on Jan. 25, 2012 — the beginning of the election year for President Obama’s second campaign. On that date: “the BOLO [‘be on the lookout’] criteria were again updated.” The revised criteria included “political action type organizations involved in … educating on the Constitution and Bill

Employers won’t hire her. She’s been berated with epithets like “dirty Jew.” Federal agents have guarded her house because of death threats. And she’s spent hundreds of thousands of dollars defending herself against accusations that she orchestrated a cover-up in a scandal that has come to represent everything Americans hate about the IRS. Behold, the martyrdom of Lois Lerner. At least, that is the takeaway from Monday’s Politico interview with the former head of the IRS’s tax-exemption unit, the guileless victim of right-wing conspiracy theorists, Republican operators, and Darrell Issa. “Lerner . . . has been painted in one

Everyone in Washington has a P.R. machine, or at minimum, an agenda. That´s certainly the case with Lois Lerner, the former IRS executive whose division targeted conservative nonprofit applicants with delays and harassment. Lerner´s division of the IRS systematically obstructed and denied status to Tea Party groups while subjecting many of the smallest ones — those most vulnerable and least likely to be lawyered up — to inappropriate demands for information that was not legally required. In one case, this included the content of the opening prayer recited in meetings, and in others, this IRS Inquisition demanded that leaders

SILER CITY, N.C. — In Raleigh, conservative Republicans may be running North Carolina like they own it, but go almost anyplace in the state, even to this former textile town that looks like a movie-set re-creation of an older, more traditional South, and the political picture quickly blurs. At Chatham Industrial Supply, a hardware store here, its owner, Richard Kernodle, grumbled recently about what he called the “liberal artists” who have moved to this city of 8,100 — opening galleries, throwing pottery and generally bringing the kind of lifestyle and politics one might expect 45 minutes away in the progressive college

A new poll from Public Opinion Strategies, commissioned by Independent Women’s Voice, finds that people who care about the issue of Obamacare really don’t like Obamacare. On the flip side, people who like Obamacare really don’t care about it very much. That’s a bad combination for pro-Obamacare candidates. The poll found that likely voters in battleground districts who consider Obamacare to be the “most important” issue in the upcoming election oppose it by the overwhelming tally of 70 to 30 percent (see slide 9). Likely voters who consider Obamacare to be a “very important” issue (but not the “most important” one)

If George Washington was the father of our country, Benjamin Franklin was its grandfather. While the former was fighting the British at home, the latter was on the other side of the Atlantic securing the money and arms that kept the revolution alive. It is no exaggeration to say that, without Franklin’s indefatigable diplomatic efforts in Europe, the American Revolution would have failed. What has this to do with Obamacare? When that conflict was officially ended by the Treaty of Paris, Franklin was 77 — well past the age when key ACA architect Ezekiel Emanuel says we should all embrace

After outlining his strategy to combat ISIS, President Obama gave a pep talk on the state of the nation. Rosily, he described the U.S. as on the move in a big comeback from 9/11 and the Great Recession. But the public ain’t buying what the President is selling. Deep, experienced-based and worsening pessimism is abroad in the land, according to the sobering findings of a national poll conducted this summer by the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development. Consider: - 71% of those surveyed said the recession that ended in 2009 permanently changed the U.S. economy — up from 49% five years ago. - 88%

One of the catalysts for the rage and rioting in Ferguson, Mo., was the sight of that poor teenager’s body lying face down in the street hour after hour. At 12:02 p.m. August 9, one of their officers shot unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown six times. By 12:05 p.m., a responding paramedic pronounced him dead. Yet his body was still there in the summer sun at 4 p.m., the sheet not quite long enough to cover his 6-foot-3-inch frame. Among the outraged onlookers in the Canfield Green apartment complex was his mother, distraught, and barricaded from her son’s body by police. At least

President Barack Obama saluted a pair of United States Marines on Tuesday while holding what appeared to be a styrofoam cup in his saluting hand, a breach of military regulations that won´t win him fans among veterans and servicemen. Obama is known for drinking tea, not coffee, when he travels, especially before delivering speeches. His quasi-saluting gesture was an instant embarrassment for the White House, and not because his environmentally taboo drinkware clashed with the green-policy speech he was on his way to deliver at a UN Climate Summit. If so, this means Chelsea Clinton’s favorite animal could be something her child would never know. “The child Marc and I
