Rick Perry could get rick-rolled again
Washington Times, by Steve Deace

Original Article

Posted By:Up2Here, 9/3/2014 1:03:17 AM

Hey, did you hear about the Republican governor running for president in 2016 who just hired two of the GOP consultants conservatives loathe the most? I bet you thought I was referring to “Republican in Name Only” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. If only I were. Sadly, and mystifyingly, I’m talking about Texas Gov. Rick Perry. Yes, the man of the hour Rick Perry. (snip) So of course, being that he’s a Republican politician and all, Mr. Perry had to go and ruin it just as we were beginning to buy in. Stop me if you’ve heard that one before.

If true, this is a massive disappointment for we who´ve believed Perry was the best chance of defeating Hilaria Smart. Alienating the conservative base from even before the get-go spells Loser even more than it spells Romney.

If true. Really hard to see why Perry would actually let these guys run his campaign.

...can only hope that they are passing by in the early stages of setting up a tighter organization then the last time...

We are told in the Bible that God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble. Mr. Perry hasn´t exhibited the spirit of humility that we need to see in a wise leader.

Rick Perry has always been Establishment and open borders. His hiring of Henry Barbour weeks after what Barbour did in Mississippi shouldn´t be a surprise. It´s understandable to wish Rick was something else but he´s not, and never will be. The Bush/Barbour crowd is running this show and is focused on one goal, keeping conservatives from getting the candidate the country needs. Rick Perry is just one of many they´ll put out there to try and block Ted Cruz.

Yep, he thinks hiring these two corrupt consultants will keep Gov. Palin and Sen. Cruz out of a primary. His true colors are being shown to the outside masses. Texans already know he loves crony capitalism with his "I´ll scratch your back if you will scratch mine! He has been the lesser of the evils during his run for Gov.

#8, I understand if you have no use for Rick Perry, but the logic of your statement that he has hired a consulting team in order to "keep Gov. Palin and Sen. Cruz out of a primary" escapes me. Why should either of them care who is on Perry´s consulting team while he fights a criminal indictment two years ahead of the election? And second, I do not believe Sarah Palin could be dragged into a primary. She´s never shown any interest in running for president. In addition, I believe Cruz has his eye on the Supreme Court.

According to a recent column by Jay Sekulow on the FOX News website and a statement by House Ways and Means Committee member Charles Boustany, 10 percent of the conservative donors whose names were improperly obtained by the IRS in the section 501(c)(4) scandal were subjected to individual audits.(snip)It would be relatively easy to trace back each audit to its ultimate source. During another grueling hearing on the ObamaCare rollout, the head of the IRS tried to offer lawmakers an assurance about the soon-to-open enrollment period. “Whenever we can, we follow the law,” IRS Commissioner John Koskinen told the House Ways and Means subcommittee on health on Wednesday. Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas), who leads the subcommittee, immediately expressed his concern with the remarks. “I encourage you to follow the law in all instances,” Brady said. Koskinen, who was confirmed as head of IRS last December, has repeatedly faced lawmakers´ ire over the agency´s targeting of conservative groups. In 2011, the state of Utah passed a law banning taxes on the use of gold and silver coins as currency and permitting residents to remit state taxes in these coins. Big deal, you might say. That’s already in the Constitution: “No state shall…make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts.” Oklahoma has done something similar, confirming that transactions taking place in gold and silver are free from state taxes on the exchange medium. Currently, in federal law, if you buy things with gold, for example, you have to declare as taxable the gain on

The tax agency said in June that it could not locate an untold number of emails to and from Lois Lerner, who headed the IRS division that processes applications for tax-exempt status. The revelation set off a new round of investigations and congressional hearings. On Friday, the IRS issued a report to Congress saying the agency also lost emails from five other employees related to the probe,
