Secret Service Investigates Possible
Threat Made Against President Obama

Mediaite, by Josh Feldman

The Secret Service is investigating a possible threat made against President Obama. Authorities tell NBC News that there was a “potentially suspicious person and vehicle” near where Obama made fundraising stops tonight. Connecticut police have been informed of the report by the Secret Service, as well as being advised to be on lookout for this suspicious person. State law enforcement is currently looking for the car this person was driving, which they believe to be a blue Jetta with Connecticut plates. Obama attended one fundraiser in Connecticut tonight before heading to another one in Rhode Island

Is it just me or is this somewhat odd? I mean, surely there are threats all the time... and not just with Obama but with any president. If it´s just potentially supicious why is this news? Something else going on here perhaps???

He should be less worried about a blue Jetta and more afraid of the threats from outside of the country that threaten all of US, never mind the threats walking across the border.

Oh please. He´s blessing my neck of the woods with his presence this weekend.

An invading army couldn´t get within 50 miles of this pansy given the security that surrounds him.

So what is it? We´re now supposed to transfer the fear we have regarding threats to our country to worry about the well being of this POS?

When the preezy was first elected the media tried to tell us there was a 400% increase in threats due to all the racists. They later recanted when the FBI records didn´t back up that claim but the genie was out of the bottle and the sheep repeated the 400% number over and over. After the preezy´s slip about no strategy he needs a quick diversion. I´ve come to realize what was meant by "most transparent administration" because these tactics certainly are easy to see through.

Why would "authorities" reveal this to the totally objective and honest NBC News, which has never ever gone out of its way to lie and cover-up for Dear Leader Barack Hussein? Surely not because Dear Leader needs sympathy at this point in his valiant crusade to create jobs, revive the US economy, stop Russian aggression and destroy ISIS? Surely not.

Perhaps someone needs to investigate the Secret Service and find out why they are not Honoring their Oath of Office (you know, the part about defending us against all enemies, especially domestic -- like a traitor in the White House)?

If I were an SS Agent, I think I´d rather work at a fast food restaurant than be on the White House detail.

A "possible" threat exists against any human being who holds strong opinions or who cheesed somebody off. Get over it.

Ginning up a sympathy vote for Obama, is that what this is?

I suppose the "threat" will turn out to be from a right-wing survivalist gun-slinging bitter clinger.

Threats against the president, any president, are frequent and common. They are trying to make this sound unusual and newsworthy in order to try to fire up his few remaining supporters. It is entirely a political manipulation of the public through the media.

I wouldn´t put it past the democrats to pay off one of their fanatics to stage a fake assassination attempt. There is no depth to which they are unwilling to go to hold on to power.

Things are not going so well for Barry; therefore, either he or his advisers probably thought that going for sympathy might work.

Those of us who have been around for a while, will remember that a true attempt was made in 1950 on President Truman. I was just a first-grader when it happened, but I remember it well. My school-teacher mother who was a senior-class sponsor was on a trip to DC when it happened. What a relief our family felt when my mother returned home from the trip!

I posited some time ago that Obama would eventually hole up in the White House bomb shelter. However, I assumed it would be over his fear of the Tea Party or the other desperados on his FBI watch list. In our new reality, it will probably be over his fear of ISIS (or ISIL as he prefers to say).

A recently retired Secret Service agent told MailOnline on Thursday that former director Julia Pierson´s resignation will be welcomed by the agency´s rank-and-file because ´people in the service thought she was a joke from Day One.´ He attributed her swift fall from grace to a cadre of ´p***ed off agents who had had enough´ of feeling disrespected by the service´s first female director. ´Putting her in charge was part of the [Obama] administration´s push to feminize the service after the "hookergate" nightmare,´ the agent said, referring to agents who were fired after patronizing prostitutes during a security-check trip to Colombia

The Case for Panic

Deadly, irrational, and determined, the intruder snuck across a weakened perimeter. Eluding capture, the intruder was detained only after missteps and close calls. The spin began soon after the threat was isolated. Information was selectively leaked. Half-truths and untruths were uttered. Responsibility was avoided; privileges and credentials asserted; authority reasserted. Trust us. Remain calm. Don’t panic. This is the template of recent events. A mental case jumps the White House fence. He makes it to the East Room before he’s tackled by an off-duty Secret Service agent. Initial statements turn out to be misleading or false. We discover that lapses in

What on earth is an ohbee-guynee? Apparently it is a weird Obamaspeak pronunciation of OB/GYN (pronounced oh-bee-gee-why-en). For the president’s benefit, let me specify that means a doctor who delivers babies and takes care of the lady parts. When President Obama announced the departure of Eric Holder from his position as attorney general, he also mentioned his “good friend,” the AG’s wife, Dr. Sharon Malone, and he called her an “ohbee-guynee.” (snip) it almost seems as though someone raised in a fantasized USSR training camp for deep cover agents was inserted into the identity of Barack Obama and loosed upon

It’s the “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” A New York appeals court next week will consider whether chimps should have the same rights as human beings. The extraordinary proceeding is the result of a lengthy battle by animal-rights activists who argue that animals with human qualities — including chimps — are entitled to human protections, including freedom from captivity. Steven Wise, part of the Nonhuman Rights Project, which is leading the effort, will have to convince a panel of Albany appellate judges that a chimp name Tommy is a “legal person” to get him moved from a cage

It is the stuff that nightmares are made of, and day by day it is getting worse. The Ebola epidemic, says Dr Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), is now “the greatest peacetime challenge” since the Second World War. Yet her own organisation’s tardiness, partly caused by cuts, together with reductions in--and misuse of--funds elsewhere, are largely responsible for Ebola spiralling out of control. [Snip] It’s just the beginning. At present the numbers of people infected are thought to be doubling in under 30 days--and the blue-chip US Center for Disease Control and Prevention predicts that, if Ebola

President Obama was at Northwestern University on Thursday to deliver an economic speech that, he and his team hoped, would lay out the case for why the public is better off today than they were six years ago -- even if they didn´t feel it in their everday lives. Instead, Obama just gave every Republican ad-maker in the country more fodder for negative ads linking Democratic candidates to him. Here are the four sentences that will draw all of the attention (they come more than two thirds of the way through the speech): "I am not on the ballot this

In a speech in Boston, First Lady Michelle Obama left behind talk of exercise and school lunches, exchanging it all for bald politics by claiming that under her husband the US economy is now better off "by almost every economic measure." The First Lady appeared at the Strand Theater Friday to stump for Martha Coakley´s campaign for Governor of Massachusetts. Coakley needs help badly, as even in blue, blue Massachusetts, the race between Democrat Coakley and Republican Charlie Baker is essentially a toss up. In her remarks, Obama pushed the President´s newest campaign line that he has saved the economy based on

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. I’m always sceptical when I hear scare-mongering claims about diseases. From bird flu to SARS, we’re repeatedly told it’s going to be the new Plague that will wipe everyone out and then…it doesn’t. Probably because the scare-mongering itself makes people take it seriously enough to prevent it spreading. But there is something very sinister and frightening about this Ebola outbreak, which has so far infected 7,100 and killed 3,300. [Snip] It’s hard to think of a more cack-handed, dangerously inept response than what transpired in Dallas. Consider what we now know: Thomas Eric Duncan, a 42-year-old Liberian citizen, had been

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in
