President Obama flies to New York´s Westchester County Friday for a series of weekend fundraisers. The timing has upset some very wealthy and powerful New Yorkers, CBS News´ Michelle Miller reports. When Air Force One arrives, the FAA will put the skies over New York City on lockdown. Corporate planes and private charters, and their jet-setting passengers, will be the hardest hit, just in time for the start of Labor Day weekend. Mr. Obama´s no-fly zone will be from Friday afternoon and lasting all day Saturday. For the Wall Street titans who regularly depend on small planes like Whale Force One for their

Since you can´t ´drive´ to the Vineyard or Nantucket, his shut down of the eastern corridor over a holiday weekend affects more than the wealthy....and he doesn´t care, there´s $$$ to raise and he´ll do anything to get out of DC

One of the manifestations of a narcissistic personality disorder is the inability to consider the rights and feelings of others.
One would think Val Jarett would be able to handle him, but Val, with her full detail of secret service agents, is just as bad as barack.
Remember that every time he golfs on a military golf course, he eliminates every GIs chance to play, for security reasons, of course.

Actually, you can drive to the Vineyard or Nantucket. You just have to get your car onto the ferry like the rest of the unwashed masses. Quelle domage!

Well suppose next year we are all told to come outside and throw ourselves prostrate on the ground as his motorcade passes - will we all do it? I remember a few WW2 pilots I have known who would have relished the chance to get in their planes and taken off despite the stupid "no fly zone".

If Obama´s privilege inconveniences enough Iif those people, do you suppose they will eventually realize just in how much scorn and disdain even they, for all their power and money, are held, they might close their check books and walk away? Maybe even vote differently next time?

BTW, it isn´t just the uber-wealthy who pay a hefty price for those stupid TFRs. think of the charities like Angel Flight, whose sick passengers cannot get to, or get home from their hospital appointments at those big medical centers. Think of all the businesses, big and small that are virtually shut down when the President is in town. It isn´t Obama´s problem, though. Pfft. Those little people just don´t matter to him.

Take that, you liberal POSs.
You people thought it was just wonderful that the USA elected a black man to the POUS.
It did not matter that he was a empty suit that had NEVER done a productive thing in his entire life.
I am not against a black man being president. There are many black men that would make great presidents. They love their country and have experiences that cover all people of the USA, bot poor and rich.
The liberals helped elect a black resentful, communist leaning , Muslim man set on destroying the USA.
When this POS, stops you from enjoying freedom to travel around in your jet plane, just keep your trap shut.

WASHINGTON — Julia Pierson, the director of the Secret Service, is resigning in the wake of several security breaches, according to administration officials. The resignation came less than a day after lawmakers from both parties assailed Ms. Pierson’s leadership and said they feared for the lives of the president and others in the protection of the agency. A 30-year veteran of the Secret Service, Ms. Pierson was supposed to have been the one to repair the agency’s reputation after scandals that raised questions about a culture that gave rise to incidents involving drinking and prostitution during overseas trips.

Nearly 35,000 walruses were discovered this month on a northwest Alaskan shore as result of being unable to find sea ice to rest upon, a problem aggravated by climate change, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said. The unusually massive walrus gatherings were first spotted on Sept. 13 when NOAA conducted its annual arctic marine mammal aerial survey, a spokeswoman told the Associated Press. The marine mammals use sea ice as diving platforms to hunt for food in shallow areas, or as resting points to avoid long, exhausting swims. While it is normal for sea ice to recede into

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story.
