Six years to the day after he accepted the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, President Barack Obama announced that he did not have a strategy to combat ISIS, which recently beheaded American photojournalist James Foley.“I don´t want to put the cart before the horse,” Obama said of ISIS at a Thursday press conference. “We don´t have a strategy yet.” After Obama accepted the nomination in front of Greek columns on August 28, 2008, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin asked, “But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed, when the roar of the crowd fades away, when the stadium lights

They have people at the Pentagon who´s only purpose in life is making plans and strategies. They have a plan for everything that could ever happen, likely or not. All Zero would have to do is call them and pick one. The resource is already there.

I think it was actually Tina Fay (or is it Fey), on Saturday Night Live who said those things. Certainly, by all accounts, Governor Palin is not bright enough have said those things.

But to be serious, ´R´ voters are as much to blame for our country´s demise as the ´D´. The majority of us are not bright enough to support the like of Ms. Palin.

Are you worm-tongue Steve Schmidt or idiot David Brooks (do not mistake writing for NYTIMES as brilliance)?

I am not here to defend the mistake Palin made to get on a clearly losing ticket with McCain. He and his ´advisors´ (just like Romney) were losers. But it is uncanny how prophetic Palin was.....

Sarah has always been one of the best at exposing President Gutsy Call. And since exposure is what the socialists, I mean the Democrats and the loathsome MSM, absolutely hate and fear the most, she became Enemy #1 for their character assassination squads, I mean their death panels.

Exposing Democrat perfidy, treason and idiocy is something most GOP "leaders" are far too feckless and timid to do, however. That´s why they´ve also tried (quite successfully) to marginalize Palin - her bravery in the face of enemy fire makes them look even more intimidated.

Wow, Sarah´s a regular Nostradamus not because, according to the article,
she predicted Obama´s plan,
or that she said he had no plan,
but that she wondered what Obama´s plan was.

As did I and every living conservative, and many others.

In early 2012, at the Breitbart News offices, as we watched one of the more disappointing presidential primary debates with our founder Andrew Breitbart, an interesting debate unfolded: would it be better for Mitt Romney (by then the inevitable nominee) to lose? Andrew said no: a second Obama term would be a disaster for the country. Others countered that a Romney loss would provide a long-overdue opportunity to overhaul the Republican Party. One person even suggested that an effort could be organized to take over the GOP from within. "Why would you ever want to do that?" Andrew asked. In

After keeping his promise to avoid American involvement in extended wars for nearly six years, President Obama on Monday began a military engagement that he acknowledged is likely to far outlive his time in office. The launch of airstrikes in Syria and expanded U.S. action in Iraq, at the head of a dozens-strong coalition of nations, is by far the biggest commitment of U.S. might Obama has made, far beyond 2011’s limited air action in Libya or the operation that killed Osama bin Laden. Yet his decision seemed all but inevitable as Islamic State militants publicly executed U.S. hostages and

Over the past few weeks I’ve been reading Ken Adelman’s fascinating history “Reagan at Reykjavik: Forty-Eight Hours That Ended the Cold War.” Adelman, who led Reagan’s arms control agency, was an adviser at Reagan’s 1986 Iceland summit meeting with Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev. Using some newly declassified documents, Adelman fills out the extraordinary dialogue between the two leaders that set in motion a dramatic cut in nuclear arms. You learn a lot about Reagan’s leadership in the book. For me, the most impressive thing was not Reagan’s attachment to his “Star Wars” strategic defense initiative, which is overrated in ending

Finding a doctor who takes Obamacare coverage could be just as frustrating for Californians in 2015 as the health-law expansion enters its second year. The state´s largest health insurers are sticking with their often-criticized narrow networks of doctors, and in some cases they are cutting the number of physicians even more, according to a Times analysis of company data. And the state´s insurance exchange, Covered California, still has no comprehensive directory to help consumers match doctors with health plans. This comes as insurers prepare to enroll hundreds of thousands of new patients this fall and get 1.2 million Californians to

We’re being had. Again. For six years, President Obama has endeavored to will the country into accepting two pillars of his alternative national-security reality. First, he claims to have dealt decisively with the terrorist threat, rendering it a disparate series of ragtag jayvees. Second, he asserts that the threat is unrelated to Islam, which is innately peaceful, moderate, and opposed to the wanton “violent extremists” who purport to act in its name. Now, the president has been compelled to act against a jihad that has neither ended nor been “decimated.” The jihad, in fact, has inevitably intensified under his counterfactual

When the U.S. military strikes, its leaders often choose colorful code names for the operation that sometimes stick in history, like Operation Overlord or Rolling Thunder or Desert Storm. Not this time. The U.S.-led air campaign against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria doesn´t have a name. "I know of no plans at this point to name it," Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said Thursday. Since World War II, almost every U.S. military operation, large and small, has had a code name. Political pollsters have a tough job. They have to create formulas to determine if the person they are interviewing is likely to vote, and it is within this calculation that their reputations are made. Typically, those who are likely to vote in an off-year election are pretty set. They are the people who always vote in elections — with some motivated by specific issues. In a wave election, the number of those motivated by specific issues escalates, changing the electoral landscape as the candidates who are beneficiaries of this increased participation sweep to victory. The 2014 election is rapidly looking like something new
