WH Clarifies Obama’s ‘We Don’t
Have a Strategy’ Comment: We
Have One, Just Not in Syria

National Review Online, by Andrew Johnson

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 8/28/2014 9:18:01 PM

Within a couple hours of President Obama’s telling reporters that “we don’t have a strategy yet” for taking on the Islamic State, White House press secretary Josh Earnest clarified that President Obama does have a strategy, or at least part of one. He told CNN that the White House has outlined an approach for addressing the Islamic State’s efforts in Iraq, but is still awaiting to hear back from the Pentagon on military options in Syria, which is what the president was referring to. In part, Earnest explained, the Pentagon is exploring a broader strategy beyond just American military involvement.

And he got elected to a second term why exactly? It is just same modus as IRS: obfuscate, delay, deny and fits into the democrat cut and run mentality. If he does not know what to do, rest assured nothing will be done. Isis is his doing and he will just fake any action to finish them off. He is stalling for them so it reaches point of being too late to do anything.

Headline is correct. Obama does have a strategy, a destructive one. He doesn´t want to be bothered while he is trying his best to destroy the United States of America. He has enough on his plate and doesn´t need the added pressure of Syria right now. It is hard work turning this once great republic into his vision for its future, but it is his first priority.

The truth is he is creating excuses for his lack of direction. It increasingly appears he isn´t directing or leading anything, it is a certain group of ideologues he has put in full charge of destroying this country.

What, if anything has the GOP done about exposing his incompetence. Nothing of course, they might hurt someone feelings. Meanwhile, this country goes the way of all Republics that turn into Democracies and then Dictatorships.

We have as our leader a man whose mother, father and step-father had something in common - they hated this country and it´s culture. His mother was not shy in her hatred of this country, once badgering a first date in a foreign country with her low opinion of the USA to the point it was also the last date.

Obama is a foreigner who had been taught to hate an has an innate arrogance that he knows better. He is a man who has learned to hide many things to achieve his goals. His life history was made up of fancy theories that didn´t really affect him because he was being taken care of - most frequently by "typical white people".

How surprised should anyone be that the realities of our world are beyond his grasp and he doesn´t have the humility or adaptability to realize how wrong he is?

#1, the khaki suit says "I´m still on vacation, but I´m pretending to be at work."

With the seriousness of growing threats, you´d think someone, anyone, in the White House would be telling him to stay home, prepare an address to the American people.

Actually, he may do that, now that PM Cameron made such a clear and strong statement, and answered questions. He looked serious ad determined, the opposite of BO´s appearance AND the substance of what he said, and has said.

We all remember the Laughing Golfer after he announced the hideous and vicious murder of James Foley.

When Obama started to discuss air strikes against ISIS in Syria it was met with growls from Syria and Russia. Syria worked out a treaty with ISIS. Russia probably gave a nod of approval. When that happened ISIS stopped attacking Syria and started attacking Iraq. ISIS seems to have something of a safe haven in Syria now. The question now is how much of an alliance has ISIS made with Syria and Russia.

BEIJING — Swelling crowds of pro-democracy demonstrators in Hong Kong on Monday plunged Asia’s normally staid financial hub into a tense standoff with Beijing that strikes directly at China’s expanding political grip in the former British colony. The rapidly escalating protests are aimed at forcing Beijing’s Communist leaders to abandon newly declared powers to weed out any candidates in upcoming Hong Kong elections. Yet many on the streets proclaimed they are fighting for something even bigger: preserving a vision of Hong Kong promised 17 years ago when it reverted to Chinese rule. U.S. policy leaders, including President Obama, were repeatedly warned for more than a year by the U.S. intelligence community that the Islamic State terror group was gaining significant strength in Syria and was on the verge of seizing territory deep inside Iraq, where the military was struggling to respond. The private assessments, which were confirmed to The Washington Times on Monday, conflict with Mr. Obama’s claim on national television over the weekend that America’s spies had underestimated the rise and capabilities of the Islamic State and had overestimated the Iraqi military’s ability and will to fight the group. Despite heavy

The Supreme Court’s conservatives cleared the way Monday for Ohio to restrict early voting in the state, on the eve of the day it was to start. The court granted the state’s request to stay decisions of lower courts that threw out the state’s new plan, passed by the Republican-led legislature. But the court’s four liberal justices said they would have stayed out of the case and left those decisions in place. Ohio argued that the new plan--reducing from 35 to 28 the number of days voters could cast an early ballot--could not be seen as violating the rights of

More than seven in 10 Americans say the United States will end up using its own combat troops against ISIS militants in Iraq and Syria, despite President Barack Obama’s assertion that U.S. combat troops won’t be on the ground there. This finding comes from a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Annenberg poll, which also shows that Americans are divided over the merits of using U.S. combat troops – 45 percent are in favor of using them if military commanders think they’re the best way to defeat the ISIS army, while 37 percent are opposed. The gunman parked his black Honda directly south of the White House, in the dark of a November night, in a closed lane of Constitution Avenue. He pointed his semiautomatic rifle out of the passenger window, aimed directly at the home of the president of the United States, and pulled the trigger. A bullet smashed a window on the second floor, just steps from the first family’s formal living room. Another lodged in a window frame, and more pinged off the roof, sending bits of wood and concrete to the ground. At least seven bullets struck the upstairs residence of

The Obama administration appears to be losing ground in its efforts to cut U.S. emissions of greenhouse gases, according to new government figures that show pollution levels rising again after several years of gradual decline. Data released Friday by the Energy Department show American factories and power plants putting more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere during the first six months of 2014 compared with the same period in each of the past two years. The figures confirm a reversal first seen in 2013, when the trend of steadily falling emissions abruptly halted. The higher emissions are primarily a reflection of

Late, hesitant and reluctant as he is, President Obama has begun effecting a workable strategy against the Islamic State. True, he’s been driven there by public opinion. Does anyone imagine that without the broadcast beheadings we’d be doing anything more than pinprick strikes within Iraq? If Obama can remain steady through future fluctuations in public opinion, his strategy might succeed. But success will not be what he’s articulating publicly. The strategy will not destroy the Islamic State. It’s more containment-plus: Expel the Islamic State from Iraq, contain it in Syria. Because you can’t win from the air. In Iraq, we
