Captives held by Islamic
State were waterboarded

Washington Post, by Adam Goldman & Julie Tate

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 8/28/2014 4:30:40 PM

At least four hostages held in Syria by the Islamic State, including an American journalist who was recently executed by the group, were waterboarded in the early part of their captivity, according to people familiar with the treatment of the kidnapped Westerners. James Foley was among the four who were waterboarded several times by Islamic State militants who appeared to model the technique on the CIA’s use of waterboarding to interrogate suspected terrorists after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The victims of waterboarding are often strapped down on gurneys or benches while cold water is poured over a cloth covering

Comments:
Here´s the kicker from the article: "Critics of waterboarding have said for years that the practice endangered Americans, putting them at risk that they will be subjected to the same brutal treatment at the hands of the enemy." Now Obama and the rest of the waterboarding critics can use this excuse for being against it. The media is so cunning in working that into the story.

There are some other techniques they use at SERE school that no one ever talks about the boarder on some of the classic torture procedures. I spent couple of days "being helped" during my tenure there after the some what more "easier" tries didn´t have success with me. THANK YOU usa government for helping become immune to feelings and having over 45 years of nightmares

Victory lap to the western media for promoting and fixating on waterboarding in their lust to hit Republicans! Because of their tireless efforts every nutbar in the world now knows about it and uses it as an excuse for any disgusting thing they want to do. And the Dems use it as an excuse for their muzzie friends.

How oddly surreal that the muzzcazies so far have only waterboarded Democrats.

What the Washington Post fails to understand about their Muslim brothers is that they enjoy what they do. They are sadists. It is not a tool to extract information but an experience of the sublime for them. These barbarians cut people´s heads off and film it to entice others to join their sick and twisted terror cabal. Who with an ounce of humanity would even consider joining up with such vicious and in humane Neanderthals. The west is demonized for water boarding. However, the brutality committed every day by Muslims is given a pass. Stoning, beheading, female genital mutilation (without anesthesia), rape, incest, beastiality, murder, crucifixions, amputations are all committed in the name of Islam, but not a peep from the progressive thinkers at the Washington Post.

It really gets under my skin the way this information is outed and used against Americans. Maybe if our gov would conduct a legitimate war against terrorism things would be different. Releasing prisoners from Gitmo as if it´s just another friendly game of Capture the Flag at summer camp/time to release the captives/start the game over, before any SURRENDER, as in wars past is beyond insanity. The US gov is not serious about this Islamist threat. If the Gov had not been treating Guantanamo as a Motel 6, perhaps this information would never have gotten out.
It should have been run as a roach hotel-the lowlifes check in but do NOT check out. The leftists are sabotaging any progress we made with their concern for Muslim welfare, similar to what they did during the Vietnam war.

I went to the last SERE school held at Cherry Point NC. Most of those of us who were caught by the trainers were waterboarded. It wasn´t in a specialized, antiseptic, spotless training room with dozens of safety medical safety personnel like the captured terrorists received just after 9/11. I was spread eagle in a clearing, feet and hands tied to stakes. It was done by a Gunny and I think a hospital corpsmen (or corpse-man if you´re from Hawaii or Kenya and live in a big white building in DC). I lived and I´m not scarred. It WAS VERY effective and surprisingly safe. So, if waterboarding makes the fidiots who make up most of this country plussed about ISIS while slicing off heads of Christians and slaughtering whole towns, not so much, do you still think this nation has a chance?

Let´s see, my family´s heads were cut off in front of me, I was tortured with electrical shocks to groins, crucified, beaten, bones broken one by one and ho-hum, but waterboarding where I simply give out classified info if I know any to give out and the country is now upset? If THAT upsets you more than the fact that WE created ISIS and WE are still aiding them while they do their rampage fun, we richly deserve to be killed by them in this country on this soil. We DO NOT deserve to be free anymore.

While more famous for his anti-war activities as a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s and ‘70s, he is now a committed educator. Retired from his education professorship at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Ayers continues to give lectures to teachers in training, speak at education conferences and agitate against America’s two-tiered educational system – one for rich, one for poor – on behalf of low-income parents, students and instructors.
