Sarah Palin sides with Mike Ditka
on liberals, er, the Redskins´ name

Los Angeles Times, by Chuck Schilken

Sarah Palin has expressed her support for Mike Ditka, who has expressed his support for Daniel Snyder, who has vowed to never change the name of the Washington Redskins. Got all that? It can get a little confusing. Just ask Palin and Ditka. Those two seem to have forgotten what this battle is all about. Some Native American people out there consider the word "Redskins" to be derogatory and, therefore, think the team name and logo are offensive. Of course, some people from every ethnic background support that side of the battle, just like there are some Native Americans are

Palin and Ditka can´t help but feed into the caricature of conservatives. Both need to go away. Redskin refers to tribes that actually did paint their faces red. It´s a tribute to Native Americans. It´s time someone had the guts to stand up and say so.

The ´caricature´ of conservatives is in your own mind poster #2. You worry about your image & standing with those who want to demolish you. Huh? I guess Ronald Reagan & Margaret Thatcher are stereotypes that play into the ´caricature´ of conservatives.

let me guess....you are the NYTtimes David Brooks in reality.....in other words...a ´conservative´ in your own definition.

Apparently most "Native Americans" aren´t offended and couldn´t care less, from some polls I´ve seen. But that inconvenient truth would interfere with this bedwetter´s agenda.

Wish I could find the story now. Once I read where an original member of the team ownership was a Native American. If true, and he had no problem with the name then all the other bed wetters should just shut up and play with their blocks.

Look at the bigger picture. This is not at all about native Americans being offended. It is about the left being able to shove its weight around. They want to control all speech. They encourage the Balkenization of this country because they know it strikes at the very foundation of our greatness, out of many, one. This is typical liberal strategy. Divide and conquer. They will tell you what is offensive and you WILL agree with it. I am so sick and tired of these PC bullies.

If 9 redskins are mad and want the football team to change their name, then how many redskins will it take for the football team to retain their name?

Free clue to the people that "think" the name should be changed: DO NOT THINK! You really suck at that "thinking" endeavor.

This is not too complex an issue except for those who are the professional grievance crowd.

Some folks are offended - too bad. That you are offended is YOUR problem. What you do then is up to you. Don´t want to watch - don´t watch.

By all means sell your tickets - there is a long backlog of folks who want them.

Yet those who are offended do NOT own the name. If you really want to make a change - BUY THE TEAM.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s

Oh, to be a fly on the wall backstage. Debbie Wasserman Schultz had an awkward task at the Democratic National Committee´s Women’s Leadership Forum on Friday. She had to have back-to-back-to-back public encounters with the leaders of her party, who gathered there a day after a scathing and deeply reported story suggested that Democrats are all but done with her as chairman. One by one, she introduced Vice President Biden, Hillary Clinton and President Obama. And it was essentially air-kisses all around. But the subtext was hard to miss, even as they praised her as the something amounting to the best

IRBIL -In the part of his Sept. 10 speech on confronting the Islamic State that probably drew the least attention, President Obama mentioned the need to help Christians and other minorities, expelled from cities and villages in northern Iraq, return from where they came. “We cannot allow these communities to be driven from their ancient homeland,” he said. Obama got that wrong. Christians, of whom around 120,000 have taken refuge in Iraqi Kurdistan, will not be going home even if their tormentors suddenly disappear. I spent 10 days talking with Christian refugees in Irbil, the capital of the northern autonomous region

Billionaire investor and entrepreneur Mark Cuban is generous with his advice. He´s talked about the keys to the perfect pitch, what it´s like to become a billionaire (while naked), and the cookies he just can´t stop eating. He has also shared some important personal-finance advice. When we asked him what he wishes he´d known about money in his 20s, he said: That credit cards are the worst investment that you can make. That the money I save on interest by not having debt is better than any return I could possibly get by investing that money in the stock market.

When President Obama took office in 2009, congressional Democrats were euphoric. With control of the House, Senate and the White House, and high public approval for their new party standard bearer, Democrats eagerly embraced Obama and all the long-awaited policy initiatives he’d surely help them achieve. In that first month, congressional Democrats mentioned Obama during floor speeches 200 or so more times than Republicans. In the next year and a half, the parties referred to the president at similar rates, sometimes with the Republicans having more to say, other times the Democrats. One can reasonably assume that when the Democrats

Military gets ´sensitive´ under Obama

The military is growing more “sensitive” under the Obama administration, Pentagon observers say, by relaxing long-standing restrictions on soldiers’ religious and personal liberties. The efforts by the Defense Department to adapt to cultural change go beyond the moves to end the controversial “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy and allow women in combat. In recent weeks, the Pentagon has backed off controversial hairstyle regulations that critics said discriminated against black women and made the phrase “so help me god” optional in the oath for airmen. Earlier this year, the military loosened its rules for soldiers who want to wear turbans or

So much so that she even complained to youngsters battling childhood cancers about the misery of living in the White House and being married to a guy

He said he was influenced by a close, radical friend, according to a video he made before he killed himself and 16 others while fighting

(Editor´s note: Three words -- Joseph. Robinette. Biden.) Based on interviews with DNC staffers -- both former and current -- the piece described Wasserman Schultz as something of a modern-day Tracy Flick: over-eager, disloyal and not shy about promoting her ambitions.
