Obama Hopes to Dodge Congress
on International Global Warming Accord

Breitbart Big Government, by Warner Todd Huston

Original Article

The Obama administration is reportedly attempting to bypass congressional ratification for an international move called a "sweeping international climate change agreement." According to The New York Times, Obama is preparing to hammer out this climate change agreement to "compel nations to cut their planet-warming fossil fuel emissions" ahead of a 2015 UN summit meeting in Paris. Calling it a "politically binding" agreement, Obama is reportedly working with foreign operatives to create a "name and shame" program that would pressure nations into conforming to the new global warming limits. But such an agreement would not normally have any force of law

Codswallop. "Politically-binding" is not legally binding. All US treaties MUST be passed and signed into law by Congress, not the power-usurping President.

What does Obama mean by a "politically binding" agreement?

Was it not politically binding to say:

1. If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. Period.

2. "I believe that if our government is there to support you … this plant [GM plant in Wisconsin] will be here for another hundred years." That’s what he said in 2008. Well, as it turned out, that plant didn’t last another year. It is locked up and empty to this day.”

3. all health-care negotiations would be
broadcast on C-SPAN

4. lobbyists would not work in his White House

5. he would slash earmarks by more than half

6. he would resist the temptation "to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long"

etc.

Once again, Obama´s words are meaningless.

"Politically binding" means that electric utilities, refineries and automakers will be battling this in court until at least 2017, when the Ofreak is hopefully gone.

EPA will impose job killing, quality of life harming rules on power plants and other major emitters of an essential element of life, CO2, citing this agreement. Courts will then take at least 3-4 years to finally decide cases. If prior Supreme Court decisions are a guide, majority will buy the EPA´s lies that CO2 is a toxic gas to be regulated under the Clean Air Act, an act that does not mention CO2.

Dems and the NY Times and other "media" will claim that Republicans don´t care about the children and prefer that the poor black and Central American children illegally here die to protect corporate profits.

@#1: Yes, that is the way it is supposed to happen but we know Obama does not care what Congress or the American people think or want. He´ll sign a ´decree´ and get his regime to begin strongarming the business community into compliancy or else. As we have all seen, the IRS can be very effective in persuading people to do things they don´t want to do.

Meanwhile, Boehner is working on his tan and McConnell is busy having McCain do his talking for him.

This, like much of BO´s "work" will have no legality and no permanency. It will either be pulled into the courts and shot down or when BO leaves office it will be dropped.

BO talks about his pen and his phone but as of Jan 21, 2017 his pen will only be useful to sign autographs and many people will no longer be paying attention to his phone calls.

Since BO has no ability to govern and lead he is doing the only thing he knows how to do. Put on a show.

Now certainly BO is doing damage but only through agencies that already exist under law. All it would take is the next president signing a form and poof, all BO´s garbage is gone.

Except for BOcare. That´s a little tougher but it may collapse from legal challenges or under it´s own financial weight. Think it was costly last year? Wait till rates skyrocket this year. Congress will NOT allocate more money to keep it afloat. If the Senate goes to Republicans, BO is going to find his spending sorely restricted.

The only warming BO will need to be concerned about is the hot water he is going to be in.

WASHINGTON- The Arabs are in. Turkey is on the fence. Britain, still smarting from an earlier Iraq war, is cautiously edging toward expanded action. Even Greece wants to help - if someone would tell it how. Two weeks after he announced plans to form a "broad coalition" to fight the militant group Islamic State, President Barack Obama´s hopes for international support for actions in Iraq and Syria appear to be gelling. But it remains to be seen whether this motley global crew, whose members have widely differing goals, can hang together for a mission that Obama has acknowledged could last

An Armenian Apostolic church constructed in memory of the victims of the 20th century Armenian genocide was “rigged and dynamited” on Sunday by forces loyal to the Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham (ISIS), according to reports from Syria’s government news agency. The Armenian Holy Martyrs Church in Der Zor, located in the Syrian desert 280 miles northeast of Damascus, was constructed in memory of the victims of the 1916 Armenian genocide and consecrated in 1991. The site was chosen because Der Zor is believed to have housed death camps in which an estimated 150,000 to 400,000 Armenians

After clinching the Republican nomination for the Alaska Senate race, Dan Sullivan has now surged six points according to a new Public Policy Polling poll. Today is the first time President Obama has uttered the word “Khorasan” in public. Indeed, we can find no example of any White House official ever mentioning this al Qaeda cell by name in public. The group has never even been mentioned in any of the White House background briefings on the terrorist threat emanating from Syria (and there have been several such briefings). It’s quite extraordinary to see military action against a group the White House has never talked about. There is one official outside the White House who did talk about Khorasan, briefly, last week. The new waist-high barricade, which closes off part of the sidewalk on the Pennsylvania Avenue side of the White House, went up late Monday or early Tuesday. The barrier was erected after Iraq war veteran Omar Gonzalez, 42, allegedly scaled the 7-foot (2.1-meter) fence on Friday, ran across the White House lawn and entered the building through an open
