U.S. citizens joining Islamic State
pose major threat to homeland

Washington Times, by Maggie Ybarra

The U.S. government is tracking and gathering intelligence on as many as 300 Americans who are fighting side by side with the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria and are poised to become a major threat to the homeland, according to senior U.S. officials. Officials say concern is widespread in Washington that radicalized foreign fighters could return to the homeland and commit terrorist attacks with skills acquired overseas, according to officials who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the information. Those concerns were heightened by the disclosure Tuesday that a California man was killed fighting

I await Democrat progressives to stick up for them soon just like a British Labour Party official did yesterday. He said their citizens had gone over to assist in "humanitarian aid."

This isn´t rocket science. If they know who the 300 are, cancel their passports and don´t let them return.

If we were smarter, we would stop flights from Yemen to Destroyit.

They won´t be prevented from returning to the U.S. as long as the TSA continues to focus on little white grandmas carrying those lethal canes and purses.

"Radicalized" is a stupid word. These people were obviously radicals before they joined ISIS. They are idealistic dreamers, just like the one we have occupying the White House.

When any of these 300 want to return to America, they will be transported in comfort and safety by ISIS paid Coyotes.

Can you imagine how many terrorists have already crossed the southern border?

To think that it hasn’t been happening on a regular basis is foolhardy and irresponsible.

For Obama not to do something about it borders on treason!

Obama administration forcing new
gun buyers to declare race, ethnicity
Washington Times, by Kelly Riddell    Original Article

The Obama administration quietly has been forcing new gun buyers to declare their race and ethnicity, a policy change that critics say provides little law enforcement value while creating the risk of privacy intrusions and racial profiling. With little fanfare, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in 2012 amended its Form 4473 — the transactional record the government requires gun purchasers and sellers to fill out when buying a firearm — to identify buyers as either Hispanic, Latino or not. Then a buyer must check his or her race: Indian, Asian, black, Pacific Islander or white. The

The nation’s top military officer raised the possibility Tuesday that U.S. troops could become involved in ground attacks against the Islamic State, despite repeated pledges to the contrary from President Obama. In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, sketched out scenarios in which U.S. Special Forces might need to embed with Iraqi or Kurdish troops engaged in direct combat with Islamic State fighters. Under questioning from lawmakers, Dempsey acknowledged that Obama has vowed not to send U.S. ground combat forces back into Iraq, less than three years

Fred and Kim Kagan were key intellectual architects of the surge that saved the Iraq war and defeated the forerunner of the Islamic State the first time around–and were ringing the alarm bells long ago about the descent of Iraq after the U.S. withdrawal, when few were inclined to listen. Now, they have published a proposed strategy for defeating the Islamic State. I recommend reading the whole thing. You will be struck by its modest tone. What they propose is much more robust than President Obama’s strategy, yet, even then, the risks are high and the prospects of success uncertain.

On Monday, The New York Times reported that once again – for what must by, by this point, the 1,297th time – Democrats have decided to swivel to social issues for electoral purposes in advance of the 2014 election. “After a generation of campaigns in which Republicans exploited wedge issues to win close elections,” the paper reported, “Democrats are now on the offensive in the culture wars.” According to the Times, Democrats’ turn to abortion, same-sex marriage, and contraceptives is merely the latest attempt to “stoke concerns among moderate voters, especially women, and motivate their base.” And, the Times notes,

Sarah Palin vs. Hillary Clinton: whom do you think the Democratic Party media prefers? Don’t worry, that isn’t a trick question. In a somewhat bizarre snippet from a New York Times account of Obama´s prelude to war with ISIS, we find this strange bit of advice for ISIS from the Commander-in-Chief himself. The Times fails to point out that it makes no sense, while also betraying Obama´s lack of leadership. But the president said he had already been headed toward a military response before the men’s deaths. He added that ISIS had made a major strategic error by killing them because the anger it generated resulted in the American public’s quickly backing military action. A clarifying moment in the history of the far left. Since 2009, the US has gone to war in Libya, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and the odd military action in Nigeria - all without specific congressional authorization And yet, the anti-war movement - who never met a policy by President Bush that they didn´t turn out in massive numbers to protest - has remained dead silent in the face of a massive expansion of another war in Iraq (or maybe it´s the same one) and Syria. The Boston Herald´s Howie Carr noticed this too: It’s all very confusing. When George W. Bush considered invading Iraq without a declaration of war, the Democrats

Washington - The current threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, will test not only the resolve and strategic judgment of America and its allies, but also our nation’s fidelity to a basic constitutional principle. Our Constitution reserves to Congress the power to declare war and designates our president as the commander in chief, but our recent history has been characterized by executive overreach and legislative abdication in the initiation of military action.
