Maryland Obamacare contractor gets subpoena
CNBC, by Dan Mangan

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 8/26/2014 5:49:36 PM

A congressman Tuesday said "evidence of fraud appears to be present" as a federal watchdog issued subpoenas in its investigation into Maryland´s deeply troubled Obamacare health insurance exchange. The now-fired lead contractor for that exchange, Noridian Healthcare Solutions, told CNBC.com it received such a subpoena at the end of July in connection with the probe of how federal funds were spent on the Maryland exchange. Companies or entities associated with the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange have also received subpoenas in connection with the investigation, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Comments:
Obamacare is a recipe for fraud.
Just like the food stamp program.
Just like SSI disability.
Just like unemployment benefits.
Just like welfare.
Just like the school lunch program.

Lt.Gov Brown, who was in charge of implementing this Obamacare financial fiasco is currently running for Governor in the ONE PARTY state of Maryland.

What a joke!

I´m one of the 47% (according to Larry Hogan) who would leave Maryland if I could.

Love the state....HATE the politics!

The MD Health Exchange has stunk for years - just a bit longer than the Lt. Governor has been promising an investigation into it. But all he needs to do is keep Baltimore City happy and he´s a lock to replace Mom O´Malley.

Green activists plan to try to shut down the New York Stock Exchange on Monday as part of a “Flood Wall Street” movement. The group will be dressed in blue and meet at 9 a.m. in Battery Park to listen to speakers such as writer Naomi Klein before gathering for a mass sit-in on the steps of the exchange. The protesters will carry a 300-foot banner that says “Capitalism = Climate Chaos. Flood Wall Street.” The gathering comes after the massive People’s Climate March in Manhattan on Sunday, where tens of thousands of people marched from Columbus Circle to 34th

Pope Francis called Sunday for Muslims and all religious leaders to condemn Islamic extremists who “pervert” religion to justify violence, as he visited Albania and held up the Balkan nation as a model for interfaith harmony for the rest of the world. “To kill in the name of God is a grave sacrilege. To discriminate in the name of God is inhuman,” Francis told representatives of Albania’s Muslim, Orthodox and Catholic communities during a half-day visit to Tirana in which he recalled the brutal persecution people of all faiths suffered under communism. Francis wept when he heard the testimony of

NEW YORK – Some of the prominent environmental activists who gathered Sunday in New York City for a massive climate change march are not ready to support Hillary Clinton if she decides to run for president. “I think Hillary Clinton has an awful lot to demonstrate to environmentalists and people who care about climate change,” Bill McKibben, the founder of 350.org, who helped organize the march, told msnbc. “She oversaw the complete fiasco that was the Copenhagen Conference as secretary of state. With Hillary Rodham Clinton´s 2016 presidential run looking like a foregone conclusion, the question now is whether she has a message. Fresh off a visit to Iowa and two events last week in Washington where she sought to reconnect with female voters, Clinton has sounded increasingly like a candidate. She hints at her presidential ambitions with wink-and-a-nod asides like the one in Iowa: "It is true, I´m thinking about it." Yet in framing what she described Friday as her "long career of fighting for women, and children, and fairness, and equality, and justice," Clinton has nearly mastered the art of avoiding controversy,

WASHINGTON — With the list of international crises growing, President Obama, more than 100 world leaders — and even some celebrities, such as Leonardo DiCaprio — arrive in New York this week for meetings to find common ground and solutions. But while the convening of the 69th General Assembly of the United Nations guarantees a traffic mess, odds are far lower that the gathering achieves anything more than ceremonial jawing. Priority No. 1 for Obama is to bolster a coalition of countries backing his effort to destroy ISIS. Support so far is tepid, especially from Arab states. The President also wants support for

Domestic violence, also known as intimate partner violence, is defined as the physical, sexual or psychological harm caused by the current or former intimate partner. Since the 1970s, concern regarding the issue began in response to the women´s movement. Most of the traditional studies looked at the abuse women faced from men in heterosexual relationships. But, the latest study by Northwestern Medicine scientists found that domestic violence is more common among same-sex couples and excess stress raises the risk of this abuse. On analyzing the previous studies together, it was observed that domestic violence affected

After declaring war on the Tea Party and often showing nothing but contempt for grassroots conservatives that powered Republicans to record gains in the 2010 midterm elections, Karl Rove whined that the GOP may not take back the Senate this year because of the lack of enthusiasm for his establishment-approved candidates. During the Cold War, reporters would suggest a kinder, gentler Marxist regime was "communism with a human face." Stanley continued: "Téa Leoni, who has a husky voice and a loose, engaging manner, is an unusually likable beauty. It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

Three and a half months have come and gone and the Pentagon has offered no clarity on what happened to alleged Army deserter and Taliban collaborator Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Fellow soldiers and other critics fear the military’s now-delayed investigation is shaping up to be a whitewash. The case has become a political powder keg for President Obama. Since he traded five imprisoned Taliban leaders for Bergdahl, the US Government Accountability Office has declared the swap illegal, and nearly two dozen House Democrats have joined Republicans in officially condemning the move for making “Americans less safe.”

When Anthony Weiner’s mayoral campaign imploded last year amid new sexting revelations, the fallout buffeted his wife, longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin. Clinton’s inner circle was furious with Weiner, and Abedin’s role with Hillary was said to be in doubt. “Huma has a choice to make,” New York magazine quoted a “close associate” of Abedin’s as saying. “Does she go with Anthony, or does she go with Hillary?” The magazine described Abedin as “traumatized” by the prospect of leaving the inner sanctum. One year later, Abedin’s marriage to Weiner appears intact, and her role in Hillary’s camp is secure. As Clinton’s personal chief

SALEM, N.H. — Voters have soured on President Obama. National and statewide trends favor Republicans. And here in his new home state, Scott Brown’s truck is gaining speed. Analysts and recent polls have found Brown closing in on US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, the Democratic incumbent he is vying to unseat, in a race that has become increasingly nasty and expensive. Once largely dismissed by critics as an unlikely second act in a state he moved to only last year, Brown’s Senate bid is increasingly seen as a plausible path back to the US Capitol. Observers see a race that may be largely determined
