Obama’s Speech To The American
Legion Was Painfully Awkward [VIDEO]

Daily Caller, by Brendan Bordelon

It wasn’t exactly the roaring, adoring, campaign-style crowd President Barack Obama is accustomed to. On Tuesday, the president spoke to the American Legion’s national convention, facing a crowd of veterans deeply concerned about widespread corruption at the Veterans Administration and the resultant deaths of some veterans awaiting health care. So when Obama began by lecturing the veterans about cynicism and explaining his most recent foreign policy choices — instead of addressing the VA crisis — the audience clearly wasn’t pleased. Fox News cameras captured a sea of blank or frowning faces looking silently back at the president as he paused

Lately Obama has seemed bored, tired and lazier than before. He doesn´t seem to be getting any enjoyment from his best times at fund raisers. We feel the same way about him. I guess all those vacations are not doing his health any good. I think he needs a long-vacation in a padded cell.

I watched off and on about 5 minutes.

He looked sweaty, tired, uninterested.

Whatever applause the audience rendered was, as the article and Posters here have said, barely polite.

#2 puts it perfectly. Not only does the emperor have no clothes, he is shallow and empty. The whole world is seeing through him.

One danger is that our arch-enemies also see through him.

The other danger is that a man with his ego problems is likely to act out in a manner even more harmful to us and the civilized world. He only does what he thinks benefits himself.

The audience was so dead that the camera went in on a tiny pocket (fewer than a dozen) and were so ziimrd to them you could have seen moles.

Shades of those dreadful old campaign speeches in large empty arenas where those who were there had to be hustled down to the front for the cameras. One camera went off script and showed vast numbers of empty seats.

Great orator? Feh.

Clearly Obama considers the American Legion members to represent the past and is happy to see them die off. He knows that he has little political support from that aged mostly White organization. Clearly Obama was just going through the motions in addressing the American Legion.

Obama knows that the future of the Democrat Party and the progressive agenda lies with new younger demographic groups, millions of illegal aliens who he wants to legalize and convert into Democrat voters, gays, ethnic and racial groups, and poor people who rely on government benefit and services programs to survive..

When government employees buy the California legislature with huge campaign contributions, one of the benefits they expect in return is absolute protection of the lush pensions they are promised, even when their employer goes into bankruptcy. Thus, California law insists that Calpers, the state-backed agency used to provide many government employees with their pensions, is granted very special powers, including the right to seize assets and liquidate them to provide for full payment of pensions, even when other creditors are paid a penny on the dollar. But yesterday, a federal bankruptcy judge in California issued a preliminary ruling indicating that

President Obama has every intention of expanding his DREAM Act-style power grab to millions of adults who entered the country illegally -- he just knows that doing so before voters go to the polls would further endanger a bunch of Democrats up for re-election. Solution: Don´t rethink the unpopular idea; delay it until the opportunity for an electoral backlash passes. That political Rubicon looms in 34 days. If reporter Adrian Carrasquillo´s sources

President Barack Obama has taken a lot of flack since his Sunday night “60 Minutes” interview, in which he blamed the intelligence community for his failure to tackle the threat posed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. President Obama this week committed professional suicide. Let me explain. There is a theory in politics that once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished. The reason being that by creating so many enemies ‘outside the tent’, the tent itself becomes too deluged with poisonous bile to avoid sinking into a quagmire of back-stabbing ignominy. Obama went a lot further than firing 50 people. He managed to single-handedly alienate 200,000 employees in the American intelligence agencies by going on 60 Minutes and ruthlessly chucking them all under a bus

HOUSTON, Texas -- Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay was found not guilty today by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. This is the highest appellate court in Texas for criminal cases and thus brings DeLay’s political persecution to an end. The court upheld the ruling last year from the Texas 3rd Court of Appeals. That decision tossed out the convictions on money laundering and conspiracy charges. At that time Justice Melissa Goodwin wrote “The fundamental problem with the state´s case was its failure to prove proceeds of criminal activity,” according to a September 19th report on Breitbart News.
