Is there no end to the Obama administration´s
duplicity in the IRS scandal?

Washington Examiner (DC), by Mark Tapscott

For months on end, Internal Revenue Service Commissioner John Koskinen insisted that Lois Lerner´s emails were destroyed when her computer´s hard drive failed. Koskinen even told Congress that IRS "moved heaven and earth" trying to recover the emails but simply could not find a way to do so. Now, thanks to a determined federal judge, the country learns that all government emails are preserved in a doomsday kind of database. Lerner´s emails never were lost. They just don´t want to look. But here´s the kicker: According to Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, government lawyers told U.S. District

Our only hope (and it is not very strong) is that a Republican controlled Senate and House will get to the bottom of this and send people to prison!

The U.S. is "gravely concerned" about the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons´s findings last week of systematic and repeated chlorine attacks in northern Syria, Secretary of State John Kerry said in a written statement Sunday. "The Assad regime must know that it will be held to account for such use in the international community," Kerry said, noting that the report raises "especially troubling concerns that continued chemical attacks on the Syrian people by the regime could occur." The OPCW released its report on Wednesday. While it does not assign responsibility, Kerry pointed to witness accounts of helicopters

A significant benefit of the Affordable Care Act is the opportunity to receive money-saving tax credits up front to cut the overall cost of health insurance, but now hundreds of thousands of consumers could owe back some of that money next April. Those affected took advance payments of the premium tax credit for health insurance. Some married couples could owe $600 or $1,500 or $2,500 or even more. It might feel like a raw deal for some who are already suffocating under the escalating costs of health insurance. "Health insurance is confusing enough, and now they´re adding the complexities of

Chuck Todd: Midterms are ‘Starbucks

On Meet the Press Sunday morn, host Chuck Todd found a new way to say the exact same thing political pundits have been saying daily for the past year: the 2014 midterms structurally favor Republicans thanks to the Senate seats at play. Or in Todd’s new red-state-blue-stateish formulation, it’s Starbucks Nation vs. Chick-Fil-A country. The chain-based heuristic refers to urban areas that vote Democratic versus ex-urban and rural areas that vote Republican. In 2012 the battleground states favored urban, Starbucks-pocked areas, hence Obama’s win; in the upcoming election, the toss-up states are more rural,

"We were then told that it was for political reasons and that the flag could offend foreign people that live here, foreign exchange students," Smith said. The march to address climate change, billed as the largest in history, is occurring two days before President Obama and world leaders attend a summit dealing with the same issue at the United Nations. U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon — who has fought passionately against global warming — along with celebrities, CEOs and activists are expected to descend on the city for the massive event.

Washington - The Secret Service is coming under intense scrutiny after a man who hopped the White House fence made it all the way through the front door before being apprehended. President Barack Obama and his daughters had just departed the White House on Friday evening when an intruder scaled the north fence, darted across the lawn and into the presidential residence, where agents nabbed him. The security breach triggered a rare evacuation of much of the White House, with Secret Service officers drawing their guns as they rushed staffers and journalists out a side door.

Three and a half months have come and gone and the Pentagon has offered no clarity on what happened to alleged Army deserter and Taliban collaborator Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Fellow soldiers and other critics fear the military’s now-delayed investigation is shaping up to be a whitewash. The case has become a political powder keg for President Obama. Since he traded five imprisoned Taliban leaders for Bergdahl, the US Government Accountability Office has declared the swap illegal, and nearly two dozen House Democrats have joined Republicans in officially condemning the move for making “Americans less safe.”

The French did for President Obama on Friday what they refused to do for his predecessor — they joined the fight in Iraq. Two Rafale fighter planes armed with laser-guided bombs “entirely destroyed” an Islamic State munitions depot and killed dozens of ISIS fighters, making France the first coalition country to make good on its promise to battle the murderous militants. “Other operations will follow in the coming days with the same goal — to weaken this terrorist organization and come to the aid of the Iraqi authorities,” French President Francois Hollande vowed. The man who jumped the White House railing Sept. 19 deserves the right to live in President Barack Obama’s home, just as the president is allowing hundreds of thousands of border-jumping Central Americans to live in Americans’ homeland, says a new tongue-in-cheek petition posted at the White House website. “We urge President Obama to immediately and publicly recognize that Mr. Omar J. SALEM, N.H. — Voters have soured on President Obama. National and statewide trends favor Republicans. And here in his new home state, Scott Brown’s truck is gaining speed. Analysts and recent polls have found Brown closing in on US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, the Democratic incumbent he is vying to unseat, in a race that has become increasingly nasty and expensive. Once largely dismissed by critics as an unlikely second act in a state he moved to only last year, Brown’s Senate bid is increasingly seen as a plausible path back to the US Capitol. The National Security Advisor of the United States did something astonishing yesterday. In the middle of a reporter’s questioning, she bolted from the podium of the White House pressroom, saying, “Nice to see you,” fleeing a situation she evidently was unable to cope with. The question that caused Ms. Rice to flee was a fairly simple one: whether or not the president has authorized the bombing of targets in Syria. Rice responded multiple times that the timing of strikes would not be released, but that was not the question at hand, and reporters pressed her on whether her boss had authorized
