Brown´s Funeral, the Exploiters,
and America´s Police

American Thinker, by Lloyd Marcus

Original Article

Though skillfully orchestrated to transform convenience store robber Michael Brown into a heroic martyr for civil rights, his funeral was hijacked into becoming a platform for the evil and obscene slander of police and America, perpetrated by the usual deplorable suspects: Al Sharpton, Democrats, and the MSM. Candidly, as a black man, it is easy to feel like the odd man out – consistently finding myself taking the opposite side from a majority of black Americans. In 2008, over 96% of blacks voted for Obama. I did not. While I am familiar with black Republican author, orator, and advisor to

I know that Lloyd will get tons of hate mail from white democrats and the exploited blacks, but Lloyd has character for speaking the truth. That is a hard thing for a black person to do these days...

The same media outlets that couldn´t wait to hype the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri are tiptoeing very delicately around the beating of Iraq veteran Ralph Weems in Mississippi. Weems is a white man severely beaten last Saturday night, allegedly by a mob of black men upset about the Brown shooting. Working from a phone interview conducted by Weems´ friend with the Associated Press, the UK Daily Mail has the most detailed account of the incident: David Knighten of West Point told AP earlier by phone that he and Weems had gone to a Waffle House early Saturday.

Capitulation is not the answer when it comes to these neighborhood narcs. Whether they’re ratting out your kid’s lemonade stand to regulators or sniffing at your choice of fescue, or demanding local businesses remove their totally innocuous advertising, don’t give in. BURLINGTON, Vt. — A Winooski restaurant’s decision to take down a bacon advertisement has become the center of an online backlash. “It’s blown up beyond all imagination,” City Manager Katherine “Deac” Decarreau said in an interview Monday. Last week, Sneakers Bistro and Cafe removed a sign reading “Yield for Sneakers Bacon” from a garden at the Winooski Rotary after

WASHINGTON — As he has grown weary of Washington, Barack Obama has shed parts of his presidency, like drying petals falling off a rose. He left the explaining and selling of his signature health care legislation to Bill Clinton. He outsourced Congress to Rahm Emanuel in the first term, and now doesn’t bother to source it at all. He left schmoozing, as well as a spiraling Iraq, to Joe Biden. Ben Rhodes, a deputy national security adviser, comes across as more than a messagemeister. As the president floats in the empyrean, Rhodes seems to make foreign policy even as he’s

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan beat up President Barack Obama before he arrived in town, then showed up at the airport to give him a kiss on the cheek. That’s the kind of balance Hagan’s trying to strike in a state where Obama’s still very popular in some parts that helped her win in 2008, but dragging her down so much elsewhere that she’s one of the Democrats’ most vulnerable incumbents. Hagan issued an advanced draft of her speech to the American Legion here before Obama arrived, charging that the president “has not done enough” to restore trust

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Former Republican Gov. Charlie Crist won the Democratic primary to challenge Republican Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday, marking another step in an unlikely political comeback four years after leaving the GOP. Crist defeated Nan Rich, a former Senate Democratic leader who has been campaigning for governor longer than Crist has been a Democrat. He is the first person in Florida to win the nomination for governor as a Republican and a Democrat. With 39 percent of the precincts counted, Crist had 75 percent to 25 percent

MIDLAND, Texas— Indicted Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Tuesday that he believes taxpayers should have picked up his legal tab but opted to use campaign funds "to keep from having folks grouse about it." The possible 2016 Republican presidential candidate told reporters in Midland that he had considered it appropriate for state funds to pay his legal fees because a criminal investigation dealt with his official duties as governor. Perry has pleaded not guilty to two felony charges of abuse of power. At least $80,000 in taxpayer dollars have been spent on his defense so far. Perry said Tuesday that

It wasn’t exactly the roaring, adoring, campaign-style crowd President Barack Obama is accustomed to. On Tuesday, the president spoke to the American Legion’s national convention, facing a crowd of veterans deeply concerned about widespread corruption at the Veterans Administration and the resultant deaths of some veterans awaiting health care. So when Obama began by lecturing the veterans about cynicism and explaining his most recent foreign policy choices — instead of addressing the VA crisis — the audience clearly wasn’t pleased. Fox News cameras captured a sea of blank or frowning faces looking silently back at the president as he paused

FALFURRIAS, Texas — Two more bodies of illegal immigrants were discovered in a rural Texas county -- bringing the year total for the one county to 48 known deaths. A 9-1-1 call to the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office led to the discovery. Brooks County surrounds Falfurrias, Texas, which is approximately 80-90 miles from the Texas border with Mexico. The 9-1-1 call was made by an illegal alien who survived after regaining cell phone coverage in mile one of the nearly seventeen mile journey that the, now deceased, illegal immigrants were making to sneak around a Border Patrol checkpoint. While attending the groundbreaking of an Occidental Petroleum complex in Midland on Tuesday, the governor showed The Associated Press his glasses. He´s worn them about a year, trying to soften his cowboy image for one that´s more humble. The glasses are a centerpiece of his rehabilitation effort nationally, following a disastrous 2012 presidential bid. Until now, though, little was known about them. Perry didn´t say how much they cost,

Democrat Michelle Nunn is running ahead of David Perdue in the race for the U.S. Senate in Georgia. The WSB-TV poll found that Mrs. Nunn has 47 percent to 40 percent edge over Mr. Perdue. The libertarian candidate, Amanda Swafford, received 3 percent, and 10 percent of the respondents were undecided. The winner of the race will replace retiring Sen. Saxby Chambliss. Mrs. Nunn, the daughter of former Georgia Sen. Sam Nunn, is seen as one of Democrats best bets to flip control of a GOP-held seat. Republicans need to flip six seats to win back the Senate.

American black people are being lied to and the lies destroy them. They are being lied to by corrupt people like Attorney General Eric Holder and Al Sharpton Jr. and Jesse Jackson and the leftists in our news media. They are being told that their poverty is due to prejudice and that the police are targeting them out of bigotry. They are being told that the dreadful existence of slum life grew out of slavery and is being perpetuated by hatred. None of this is true. Poor black people are poor because they have no family structure and get little education.

The White House is bristling at suggestions President Obama is disconnected, checked out or out of touch. White House allies maintain that the storyline of a checked-out president is a myth drummed up by the media during the summer doldrums. “It’s bullshit,” said one former senior administration official. “This is a guy who reads 10 letters a day simply to keep in touch with the American people. He spends all his time thinking about the economy and improving lives of the American people. He’s constantly in touch.” Obama has been criticized as out of touch by critics and supporters, with the subject

May ran through the stats of the 21,000-person Missouri town: 13,000 black citizens, about 7,000 white. Five city council members– one of whom was black.

FERGUSON, Mo. — It was 1 a.m. and Michael Brown Jr. called his father, his voice trembling. He had seen something overpowering. In the thick gray clouds that lingered from a passing storm this past June, he made out an angel. And he saw Satan chasing the angel and the angel running into the face of God. Mr. Brown was a prankster, so his father and stepmother chuckled at first. “No, no, Dad! No!” the elder Mr. Brown remembered his son protesting. “I’m serious.” And the black teenager from this suburb of St. Louis, who had just graduated from high

When a federal appeals court ruled last month that a seemingly arcane wording flaw in the Affordable Care Act should invalidate a central part of the law, many of those who drafted the statute five years ago reacted with shock and anger. In 2009, they had spent months piecing together a compromise that sought to create a national system of subsidized insurance — but one run by the states. Now, they fear their work could be undone by what some call a "drafting error" and others portray as a political miscalculation. The judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for

Amid the hysteria over the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., it might be lost that most black and white Americans believe they’re not out to get each other. A new Pew Research survey shows that 75 percent of whites and 64 percent of blacks say their groups get along together “pretty well” if not “very well.” It’s a bleaker view for Hispanics, 53 percent of whom say the same. Ferguson fell into the national media spotlight on Aug. 9 when Brown, who was unarmed and black,” was shot dead by Darren Wilson, a white police officer. A St. Louis grand jury is currently deliberating whether to charge Wilson of a crime.
