Labour MP: British Muslims Are Doing

Breitbart London [UK], by Raheem Kassam

Original Article

Labour Member of Parliament Yasmin Qureshi has caused outrage after comparing the idea of young British Muslims joining ISIS to the idea of young Jewish Britons joining the Israel Defence Forces. Qureshi, who has previously had to apologise for offence caused by comparing the situation in Gaza to the Holocaust, also claimed that most British Muslims going to Iraq and Syria were going for "humanitarian reasons" in a bizarre Sky News interview yesterday. She said: "From my understand [sic], most have gone to actually help people so its been humanitarian work. We understand now from some the [sic] intelligence services giving

You know as much "bad press" as the IDF gets you would think we would see the pictures of them cutting off heads and shooting lots of prisoners in a ditch. But you do not because they do not operate that way.

Wonder what " good book" the MP reads?

The break-in at the White House makes the US Secret Service look terrible. It also sheds light on an agency that operates largely behind the scenes. [Snip] On Friday, a man later identified as Iraq War veteran Omar Gonzalez climbed a fence, ran more than 60m (197ft) and made it through the North Portico door. One former Secret Service officer who asked not to be identified ("I´m a private person," he says) is as puzzled as anyone about his former colleagues--and "how hapless they seemed". He says he´s spent "many hours" standing at the North Portico door. He wonders how Gonzalez made it

CAIRO--An Egyptian court sentenced 68 Muslim Brotherhood supporters to jail terms on Tuesday, judicial sources said, in a case related to deadly violence a year ago after the army´s ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi. All were found guilty of killing 30 people and intending to kill others in Cairo on October 6, 2013, when more than 50 people died in clashes across the country between Morsi opponents and supporters. [Snip] Thousands of Brotherhood supporters are in jail and the state crackdown over the past year has expanded to include liberal and secular activists who played a leading role in

With the world concentrating on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu´s hard-hitting remarks at the UN General Assembly on Monday, the Zionist Organization of America turns attention to President Barack Obama´s address to the UN--and what it calls his "baseless and offensive claim" that "the violence engulfing the region today has made too many Israelis ready to abandon the hard work of peace." British Isis hostage John Cantlie has appeared in a new propaganda video on behalf of the terrorist group, criticising Obama´s ´disappointingly predictable military strategy´ against the terror group. Wearing an orange Guantanamo-style jumpsuit and speaking directly to the camera, Cantlie attacks the West´s plans to use Iraqi troops and Syrian rebels to fight Isis. In a forced speech, Cantlie says organising the Iraqi army will take months, and describes the Free Syrian Army as an ´undisciplined, corrupt and largely ineffective fighting force.´ He also says that arming the Syrian rebels with Western weapons is ´largely useless´, because many are sold on the

Given how completely Barack Obama´s foreign policy has been upended by the rise of Isil in Syria, it is not surprising that the president should try and gloss over the scale of his own miscalculation when it came to the threat posed by the jihadists--but that doesn´t mean he should be allowed to get away with it. This weekend Mr Obama had the cheek to blame his intelligence agencies for the fact that the White House was "caught by surprise" by the sudden rise of Isil, publicly throwing James Clapper, his Director of National Intelligence, under the bus for failing

Choral music not heard since the time of Henry VIII has been brought to life for the first time in 500 years, as an academic unearths an untouched manuscript and shows it to a modern choir. The manuscript, a book of 34 religious songs, was given to Henry VIII as a lavish gift from a French diplomat in his early reign. Containing songs referencing Henry and his then-bride Catherine of Aragon, it is considered the most "luxurious" surviving diplomatic gift of its kind. It remained in the Royal Collection after the king´s death, and was later given to the nation

President Obama said the shooting death of a black teen by a white police officer last month in Ferguson, Missouri, exposed the racial divide in the American justice system that “stains the heart of black children.” Speaking at the annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation dinner in Washington on Saturday night, Mr. Obama said the death of Michael Brown “awakened our nation” to a reality that black citizens already understood. “In too many communities around the country, a gulf of mistrust exists between local residents and law enforcement,” Mr. Obama said. “Too many young men of color feel targeted by law

For President Obama, the color of a man’s skin is far more important than the content of his character. On the night when a police officer was shot in a Missouri town torn by racial strife, the president donned a shiny tuxedo to attend a ritzy black awards dinner, where he said police nationwide are to blame for community mistrust, even claiming that “most Americans” think the country is racist. Remember, when Ferguson exploded in racial rage in August, Mr. Obama chose not to curtail his 15-day vacation, spending day after day on the golf course in the white-skinned, white-wined, millionaire playground

President Obama acknowledged that the U.S. underestimated the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS, also called ISIL) and overestimated the ability of the Iraqi military to fend off the militant group in an interview that will air Sunday on 60 Minutes. The president was asked by 60 Minutes correspondent Steve Kroft about comments from Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who has said the U.S. not only underestimated ISIS, it also overestimated the ability and will of the

WASHINGTON — The Senate’s minority whip is confident about Republicans being the majority in the 114th Congress — if conservatives can set aside differences and work to combat the massive influx of donor cash that has Democratic campaigns ahead in the money race. Only in the majority, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) stresses, can conservatives make headway on tamping down overregulation, repealing and replacing Obamacare, securing the “chaotic” border, getting Keystone XL moving, and bringing civilized debate back to the upper chamber. And only by realizing the gravity of the battle for November, he argues, can Republicans relegate Harry Reid (D-Nev.)

President Obama firmly believes the United States is better off now than when he took office, even though the American people cannot “feel” it. The president then cited lower unemployment, private sector job growth, and deficit cuts as evidence of his administration’s success. “I can put my record against any leader around the world in terms of digging ourselves out of a terrible, almost unprecedented financial crisis,” Obama said.
