Ben Carson Batters Jesse
Jackson with Logic

White House Dossier, by Keith Koffler

I thought you might want to see this debate about Ferguson between the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Dr. Ben Carson, who may decide to run for president. They appeared together yesterday on Fox News Sunday. You can see from this conversation why Carson would be such a compelling candidate. And oh, how nice it would be if African Americans would listen to him instead of people like Jackson and Al Sharptongue. Carson’s message, at its core, and less politely put by me, is that while yes, there is still some racism and racial profiling out there, the overwhelmingly effective thing young black

Nobody likes to be told they are wrong. Especially as a cultural "group". And extra especially if that group is being pandered to. Good on Dr Carson - takes a lotta nads to say the truth these days.

These days utilitarianism works. Promoting envy works. Redistributing wealth works. Preferring emotion to reason works. Nice Dr. Carson would/will get cut to pieces should he decide to descend into ugly, bare-knuckle politics.

As a counterpoint to Ferguson stories and knee jerk theories why racism is behind all African-American problems, a 15-year-old black youth shot and killed an 18-year-old black youth in Harrisburg last Tuesday evening. He leaves behind four children under the age of two.

Obama and the black community in general have this in common: Everything that is wrong is not their fault. They are both victims and it serves both their interests to keep saying so.

Justice of the best kind was done in Ferguson, a thug attacked a cop half his size and tried to beat his brains out and get his weapon. The cop killed said thug, justice done, end of story.

Jesse Jackson says what he says for one primary purpose: To safeguard his livelihood. Likewise Al Sharpton and others of their ilk. They all function in The Racism Industry. It’s their stock in trade. Never have they ever concurred with what Dr. Martin Luther King had to say about Racism:

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

Sadly, the Als and Jesses of our nation do not share that dream, nor is it even remotely expected that they ever will.

Optics: Dr. Carson looked fresh, handsome and intelligent. And in his quiet way, made good points.

Jessuh (who has always been homely) set his face in a bulldog sneer and snarled the BGI´s talking points.

Ben Carson won, hands down.

I am glad that Dr. Ben Carson is a strong enough person that he would disregard advice like that at #5.

And he would not make a mess of the primary.

He´ll make up his own mind and I´ll venture that whatever decision he makes will be a good one.

I´m not ready to see Hillary crowned president, especially here at LCom.

Slippery ole´ Al Sharpton is waxing him in the media and with his "I am the conduit to and from the White House" spiel.

Maybe they will cancel each other out at some point? Fun to ponder. But like the Chinese Army, there will be other racebaiters right behind them, ready to become #1.

Forgive second post but this article had some good stuff at the end that I missed. Do read the whole thing. It is excellent and Koffler is a terrific writer.

After remarking that Jessuh is living in the past with things like his referring to Rosa Parks (60 years ago) and advising him to go to the Civil Rights Museum - and stand himself up as an exhibit - he winds up with this zinger:

VIEWER WARNING: Portions of this segment are difficult to understand because it seems that as Rev. Jackson ages, his lower teeth are migrating straight into the upper palate of his mouth, with the result zhat heesh talking shomshing like zhish.

President Obama´s poll numbers are plummeting in deep-blue states such as New York and California, with core liberal supporters who have stuck with him through thick and thin beginning to sour on his leadership. Obama’s decisions to punt on immigration reform, defend government surveillance and attack fighters in the Middle East have all alienated parts of the coalition that elected him twice to the White House. The growing dissatisfaction on the left could limit Obama´s ability to help Democrats in the midterm elections, and could threaten his political legacy if — as happened with George W. During Clinton’s presidency, his 1994 proposal to have the federal government pay for 100,000 additional police officers was one of his signature talking points—and certainly helped neutralize GOP attacks about Democrats being weak on crime. Meanwhile, there’s no doubt that the crime rate went down dramatically during his presidency. But does one thing have much to do with the other? The Facts We will leave aside the debate about whether there were actually 100,000 additional police officers hired under the nearly $10 billion in grants provided by the Community Oriented Police Services program between 1994 and 2000. Political pollsters have a tough job. They have to create formulas to determine if the person they are interviewing is likely to vote, and it is within this calculation that their reputations are made. Typically, those who are likely to vote in an off-year election are pretty set. They are the people who always vote in elections — with some motivated by specific issues. In a wave election, the number of those motivated by specific issues escalates, changing the electoral landscape as the candidates who are beneficiaries of this increased participation sweep to victory.
