Black Lies and White Anger
PJ Media, by Andrew Klavan

Original Article

American black people are being lied to and the lies destroy them. They are being lied to by corrupt people like Attorney General Eric Holder and Al Sharpton Jr. and Jesse Jackson and the leftists in our news media. They are being told that their poverty is due to prejudice and that the police are targeting them out of bigotry. They are being told that the dreadful existence of slum life grew out of slavery and is being perpetuated by hatred. None of this is true. Poor black people are poor because they have no family structure and get little education.

Calm and very perceptive recap of what is going on--in the present--with just enough background to make it relevant.

A good read for those who (like me) may be feeling overwhelmed by current events.

And the ´poor´ in this Country live like kings compared to the Poor in most Third World Countries!

That was the first thing my son said, upon arrival in Iraq. The United States doesn´t have any poor people! Poor is a family of 6 living in a refrigerator box...

Andrew gets it mostly right, but poverty is not the root cause. Immorality is, which he does touch on in the demise of the family. My father had an 8th grade education and worked for meager wages at a grain elevator. I was earning money, along with my brother and sisters, walking beans at the age of 8 years old and I was in church every Sunday. We did not steal and fight, we worked hard.

Yup, my grandfather, second generation Irish, started out selling newspapers on a street corner. He ended up owning the newspaper.

This is a terrific article with some unusually astute comments afterwards. Sadly, there is one comment in particular that is so nasty, and so genuinely racist, that I do not feel free to post this article on my social network.

I have one question...who is going to tell the black community?

Works for me. The road to the middle class is sitting right there all the time. If we could just get the teachers´ unions to stop obstructing it and if we could just get the fathers of babies to stay and raise them . . .

FTA: "Poor black people are poor because they have no family structure and get little education."

Vague and still misleading.

"... no family structure..." Far too many Blacks have a dysfunctional family structure, a self-destructive mal-adapted know-nothing low-skills culture and an unwillingness to listen to even their own successful brothers and sisters (remember Bill Cosby and ML King, Tom Sowell and Walter Williams).

"...get little education." If you meant "dig", "comprehend" or "value", its true. If you meant they are not taught, shown or given the opportunity to learn, you are dead wrong. Too many American blacks disvalue learning what they derogatorily call "whitey values" in the extreme, even as a betrayal of their so-called black culture or family values.

Little learning beyond MoTown music, basketball/sports and lipstick/clothes are considered interesting or practical. The matriarchal family authority is both disingenuous and destructive to children, mothers and fathers...

The elimination of home economics (for girls) and shop (for boys) has destroyed the tools teachers once had to save more of these at risk kids. The elimination of American History has destroyed any opportunities that once existed to instill societal values that ensure both encouragement and acceptance of and by learners or achievers.

Learning to cut grass and deliver papers is replaced with break and entry and hot wiring cars. Sewing and cooking is replaced with baby pagents and getting laid.

So-called black leaders want them kept leashed, dumb and full of hatred, easily motivated to act-out their anti-white hatreds.

In my view, we are currently in an intended racist cold-war with many of our black inner-city citizens.

Bold and well done.

People aren’t suspicious of young black men in hoodies because people are ignorant or bigoted. They’re suspicious because reason and experience tell them that young black men in hoodies are threatening.

When your experience with black people is only negative, you would be a fool to trust them. Ditto any other group such as rug merchants. A long time ago, a middle-aged white male in his thirties exposed himself to me in a subway. From that day on, I didn´t live in fear of white males in their thirties, but I made sure to sit next to another male in a business suit and tie on the subways. You learn from your experiences and that doesn´t imply racism.

As for poor black people, the narrative keeps them poor and angry and helpless and so destroys their lives.

That is the tragedy: That they bought the narrative that white people, not their own culture and their own race-pimps, are responsible.

When Bill Cosby, Thomas Sowell, and other respectable black men were bold enough to speak to their own people about how to get out of their situation, they were vilified as Uncle Toms.

The path out of poverty lies through free market capitalism, family, education and hard work. It’s the same path for every race and every race can take it. Black people are special only in that they are being kept off the path — kept from even seeing the path — by the Holders and Sharptons and network news teams who benefit from their poverty in all kinds of ways.

I wish I could Vulcan Mind Meld the above quote into the American black cultural psyche so they could see they really do have options if they want to get out of the ghetto. Many have.

It´s obvious to everyone who received an education and has worked all their life how the problem can be solved but it won´t be.
In another hundred, I´ll be dead, blacks will still be the same in America.
As long as the black males aspire to be rappers and live out the lyrics in the rapper songs, hating authority, doing drugs and having sex they will remain the lowest in society. They can´t be helped unless they help themselves and I don´t see that happening. Not now not ever with the likes of Obama and the race pimps.

The damage these race hatred hustlers do is beyond calculation. If you discount personal liability, hard work, and education you will wind up poor and uneducated no matter what you skin color is. The race hustlers convince their victims that all bad things happen due to bigotry and that it is hopeless to strive because bigotry will not let you succeed. Their lies have relegated generations of blacks to poverty.

I wish I´d said that but I´m too chicken to call a spade a spade and I mean that in the sense of telling the true situation but aware of the pun (that´s as gutsy as I get, if a liberal reads that you´re a racist so I add the elaborate explanation . . . I´m not sure it will help). The solution is to reverse LBJ. That is take people off the dole, don´t pay women for having children outside marriage, punish men who abandon their families, and fix the education system in black communities. Fix the education does not mean just dump money on it. If you can´t inspire kids to learn in a particular school system with good teachers then take the kids to a different school system. Yes I mean bussing . . . I hate it but kids who only know the hood are going to become hoodie wearing hoods.

The major problem for blacks is our liberal agenda.
It is not designed to help blacks, but to keep them in their "place".
LBJ sealed their fate with his "Great Society"
Intercity blacks are not expected to ever work. Most of the economy into our black areas comes from the federal government.
Blacks were chosen for this by liberals because, they were already a poor section of our population (partly due to the results of
slavery) and due to their being a different color, could be separated as a franchise group.
They could be given money as a group and kept in poverty as a group so they could vote for more resources and special treatment as a group.
Any group of people that can be separated into a franchise group can fall into the same trap.
The problem is not blacks, but liberal slave owners designing a system to keep them slaves.

All of this is valid and to the good. Even Sharpton briefly touched on this yesterday:

However, remember the purpose here. It is not to politically "beat up" on blacks. It is rather to bring them aboard, so that they may fully enjoy the blessings of America that others have. It is to fulfill the dream of MLK.

We should all re-visit Luke 18:9-14 at this point. Look in the mirror, lower your nose, pull up your sleeves, and reach out your hands. We´re all Americans. Be straight and be tough, but don´t forget the "love" part of "tough love".

Mob Psychology works on the poor and underprivileged. The race baiters know this and the corrupt media encourage it. If Obama truly wanted a legacy, he had one starring him in the face. He could have tried to do something to help the dire situation of young black boys in this country. Instead of spending billions on Solendra and other jerky ideas, he could have planted seeds of inspiration and implemented ways to help black boys to rise up...He could have been a hero and role model to them. But no, Obama is no friend of the black community. He used them to advance himself and the black folk of this country have not benefit one iota from their first black president.

1) I cannot relate to people who hate me because of the color of my skin.
2) Blacks seem to be unaware that, with the flood of Hispanics coming into this country, they will be pushed even lower on the socioeconomic scale.

Which is also nonsense.

The real Reverend Jesse that is Jesse Lee Peterson spoke on this topic last Friday on Hannity´s radio show. He was lecturing the other guest who was also a Black reverend from some church in Atlanta. The main topic was about the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson and it eluded to Rev. Peterson talking about how Blacks angry. He stated that most young Blacks grow up in families with no fathers(welfare being the principle breadwinner) and they are taught at an early age to not trust the police and any type of authority. Then they are lied to by racist victicrats(thanks Larry Elder)like Jackson, Sharpton, Farrakahn and former NAALCP(National Association for the Advancement of Liberal Colored People) Ben Jealous(what an appropriate last name). This is why young Black men like Brown, Trayvon Martin and others get into trouble at school because they are being misled. That has to stop.

My own personal story. I´m the 4th oldest of 12 children, 7 boys and 5 girls. (No catty remarks please). My parents were not fully educated (My mom got the the 8th grade and dad didn´t get that far) but what they did have was a work ethnic and a love of family. We grew up knowing the value of hard work and how important education was. As a result, most of us, not all, made a comfortable life for ourselves and our families. We WORKED HARD FOR IT! We knew full well what that entailed. And believe it or not, I grew up in Arkansas. And I have seen what the liberal policies have done to the black community. When I was growing up, most of the blacks at that time, even being poor like we were, still lived in a family structure. Now they don´t. The breakup of the black family is the main reason that we still have an ongoing race war in the country. And will continue with until someone finds a way to solve it.

And just remember, Pres. Johnson was said to say to some of his "advisors" upon signing the 1965 Civil Rights law that "this is going to guarantee the ni.... vote for the next 200 years". And so far, it´s been true for the past 50yrs.

If poverty causes crime, please explain the Great Depression of 1929 through the 1930´s. When tens of thousands of hobos "rode the rails" looking for work, and had a system of codes on fenceposts for houses that would provide a meal or houses to avoid.

Why wasn´t there more crime then, when families plunged from middle class to homeless almost overnight, there was despair, and suicides, but no great increase in assaults, robbery, or murder. Men felt embarrassed over the inability to provide for his family, but wouldn´t commit a crime.

The LIEberal DemonmRATS don´t want anyone remember--much less teach--accurate history that includes true statistics, such as:

Despite segregation, most towns had a thriving black middle class, with doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and store owners, from the end of the Civil War right up through the beginning of the Great Society.
During the same time, a black woman was less likely to have her first pregnancy begin prior to marriage than a white woman.
During the same time, a black marriage was more likely to last their entire lifetime, and church attendance was higher among black family members than white family members.

It is the Great Society that made men unnecessary, that made drugs and alcohol use easier to excuse, that convinced women that a check from Uncle Sugar was equal to having a mate and his income.

Independence gives people of any color great self respect. Dependence on others, like the government, leads to selfishness, laziness, no motivation to work and demands for more and more freebies.

I agree that LBJ and the leftist radicals of the 60s (and similar ideologies of the time) were the greatest enemy of the black community and still are. Yes, the misnamed "Great Society" and "War on Poverty" were the absolute worst things that could have been done to the black community. It was the racist Democrat slave-owner, KKK mentality that knew what the real repercussions would be. Even Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan warned Congress and his party that these programs were backfiring and hurting the blacks worse, but nobody listens (and likely most Democrats knew what would happen and wanted the outcome).

Oops, pushed send too soon.

One more thing...I agree with #20. We should not be condemning people, we should be educating them. We must get the truth out there. It takes each and every one of us to make our voices heard in order to rise above the plethora of leftist lies that are intentionally holding blacks down. People DO need take responsibility for their circumstances...but remember, these people have been brainwashed for generations now to believe that it is not their fault and that they are not in control of their circumstances. We, who have the truth on our side, must break the lies and expose them. Otherwise, these people will be forever condemned to their lower status and poverty and we will have to deal with the crime and other consequences of allowing it to continue.

Many years go as students living in a married students college housing i learned the self defeating fear that kept many blacks from gaining self confidence enough to pull out of the under side.
My 4year old daughter was riding her trike with a black four old little boy on the back when his mother almost fainted trying to tell me it wouldn´t happen again.
I was stunned by that desperate apology.
I told her they were children and there was no insult and also said if she couldn´t allow them to be simply children that would be the insult.
Soon all the children in the housing were playing together without notice of color.
This family stayed in a state of very few black people and after graduation we kept tract of those children. All grew up with good ethics and talents and one daughter became a lovely ballerina with a major troop.
Both races need to defeat that unnecessary self defeating status.

Right? Morals, ethics, values come from Mom and Dad, right?

So how can we possibly expect that to happen in a group of people who have a 72% out-of-wedlock birth rate?

#3 gets it completely and then some. I was born and grew up in the heart of the depression. I worked in the fields pulling weeds when I was five years old. Everyone I knew did so and everyone planted most of what they ate, and this was California.

There were Hobo´s living in abandoned buildings, sometimes in the hundreds and we as kids were never afraid of them, and they never bothered us because if they did, the police would come through and empty the camp. As added protection we all had BB guns that our parents bought us to play with.

A friend of mine and I were always thinking of ways to earn money, whether it was selling newspapers on street corners or Look Magazine door to door. Once we built a shack on the highway and sold corn that growers delivered to us and we made good money that we gave to our parents.

I grew up with the first wave of immigrants and they all blended in, worked hard and did well in school. Blacks also blended in because we were all in financial trouble and families supported each other. We had to because the only government program I remember was the WPA.

What we have now is a mess and liberals created it by turning races against each other. In other words they found out they could steal money from producers and give it to others to buy votes. Thanks a lot. You created the atmosphere that now produces race riots, looting, shooting each other, and now you have screwed up the rest of the world.

This isn´t going to end well.

Rest easy, Citizens! Concentrating on the negatives of race instead of the positives, do indeed offer a dismal picture! The upward movement of blacks into successful, normal lives, through higher education, and good family values, continues, anon. Only a few fall through the cracks, and don´t get the education which is offered to them! Look around, and you will see! The race-baiters, Sharpton and all, are certainly the ones who are doing the damage, and keeping the racial pot boiling! Fortunately, they cannot change the innate Human Nature of the black community, whom they attempt, so poorly, to intimidate -- It is Human Nature to want to better ones self, and to succeed, and the blacks are raising themselves up in the millions! Bless them! Don´t be fooled! See the positive! Look around!

PRINCETON, NJ -- Registered voters are more likely to view their choice of candidate in this year´s midterm elections as a message of opposition (32%) rather than support (20%) for President Barack Obama. That 12-percentage-point margin is similar to what Gallup measured for Obama in 2010 and George W. Most Texas abortion clinics shut down

ATLANTA — Texas, America’s second-most populous state behind California, saw 13 of its last abortion clinics turn away women on Friday, after a federal appeals court upheld a law that practically guarantees that only a handful of clinics will remain open in the state. The strictest-of-its-kind Texas law requires abortion providers to build hospital-grade facilities and obtain sometimes impossible-to-get hospital admitting privileges. After signed into law last year by Gov. Rick Perry (R), the law forced most of the 41 clinics operating to close. Thursday’s ruling wiped out a brief victory this summer for abortion rights proponents,

The president promises to lawlessly amnesty millions of illegal aliens on his own say-so, enabling them to get work cards, Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, EITC, foreign travel documents, and the rest. But there are executive powers that he really does possess that he’s not using. Senator Sessions has helpfully provided a number of “lawful, constitutional executive actions” that the president should already be undertaking but isn’t: Complete the border fence that Congress has previously passed into law; Create the exit-entry system to track foreign visa-holders, which Congress has repeatedly mandated; Cancel visas

How Ebola Compares to

With Ebola making its way to the United States, people are rushing to find more information on the deadly disease. The Centers for Disease Control released a new chart on how contagious Ebola is compared to other diseases. The results may surprise you, according to IJReview. What you’re seeing is an evaluation of how contagious the Ebola virus actually is compared to previous epidemics, namely: Hepatitis C, HIV, SARS, Mumps, and Measles. As Michaeleen Doucleff reported, these little icons of pink and red people reflect the disease’s relative R0 or R(nought) scores. The red person is the disease carrier, and the pink people

Should we be worried about Ebola? That’s the question on the minds of many Americans given the first documented case on U.S. soil this week. And now there is a second possible case, someone having contact with Thomas Duncan, the first U.S. case of Ebola. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reassures us, “I have no doubt that we’ll stop this in its tracks in the U.S.” President Obama also told us two weeks ago that “the chances of an Ebola outbreak here in the United States are extremely low.” Tell that to the 100 Texans who

Commencement speeches can be amusing, inspiring or, in the worst (some would say even the best) case, a bit dull. Schools tend to choose corporate CEOs, politicians and celebrities to send off the graduating class with a speech meant to give graduates a glimpse of what they can achieve if they work hard in the years that lie before them. Goddard College, a small liberal arts school in Plainfield, Vt., wanted a different kind of speaker. The graduating class chose a cop killer. A video recording was arranged so that Mumia Abu-Jamal could speak to the students from Mahanoy State Correctional

The U.S. economy added 248,000 jobs in September, and the unemployment rate dropped to 5.9 percent. But the labor force participation rate continued to fall, average hourly earnings seem frozen, and over 13 percent of workers are either out of work, involuntarily working part time or too discouraged to keep hunting for jobs, and 20 percent of teenagers are out of work. In short, two cheers for the latest report, but hold the champagne. Sales of new homes rose 18 percent in August from July, but sales of previously owned homes, 90 percent of all sales, fell 1.8 percent, and

In her just-released memoir, 27 year-old "Girls" star Lena Dunham claims that as a 19 year-old Oberlin College student in Ohio, she was raped by a college Republican. In the first chapter that addresses the encounter, Dunham describes the "ill-fated evening of lovemaking" as awkward and hollow. The most sensational moment comes from the fact that "Barry" wasn´t wearing a condom. In the next chapter, Dunham backtracks with the claim that she´s an "unreliable narrator" and accuses "Barry" of rape: [I]n another essay in this book I describe a sexual encounter with a mustachioed campus Republican as the upsetting but

A recently retired Secret Service agent told MailOnline on Thursday that former director Julia Pierson´s resignation will be welcomed by the agency´s rank-and-file because ´people in the service thought she was a joke from Day One.´ He attributed her swift fall from grace to a cadre of ´p***ed off agents who had had enough´ of feeling disrespected by the service´s first female director. ´Putting her in charge was part of the [Obama] administration´s push to feminize the service after the "hookergate" nightmare,´ the agent said, referring to agents who were fired after patronizing prostitutes during a security-check trip to Colombia

Deadly, irrational, and determined, the intruder snuck across a weakened perimeter. Eluding capture, the intruder was detained only after missteps and close calls. The spin began soon after the threat was isolated. Information was selectively leaked. Half-truths and untruths were uttered. Responsibility was avoided; privileges and credentials asserted; authority reasserted. Trust us. Remain calm. Don’t panic. This is the template of recent events. A mental case jumps the White House fence. He makes it to the East Room before he’s tackled by an off-duty Secret Service agent. Initial statements turn out to be misleading or false. What on earth is an ohbee-guynee? Apparently it is a weird Obamaspeak pronunciation of OB/GYN (pronounced oh-bee-gee-why-en). For the president’s benefit, let me specify that means a doctor who delivers babies and takes care of the lady parts. When President Obama announced the departure of Eric Holder from his position as attorney general, he also mentioned his “good friend,” the AG’s wife, Dr. Sharon Malone, and he called her an “ohbee-guynee.” (snip) it almost seems as though someone raised in a fantasized USSR training camp for deep cover agents was inserted into the identity of Barack Obama and loosed upon

It’s the “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” A New York appeals court next week will consider whether chimps should have the same rights as human beings. The extraordinary proceeding is the result of a lengthy battle by animal-rights activists who argue that animals with human qualities — including chimps — are entitled to human protections, including freedom from captivity. Steven Wise, part of the Nonhuman Rights Project, which is leading the effort, will have to convince a panel of Albany appellate judges that a chimp name Tommy is a “legal person” to get him moved from a cage

It is the stuff that nightmares are made of, and day by day it is getting worse. The Ebola epidemic, says Dr Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), is now “the greatest peacetime challenge” since the Second World War. Yet her own organisation’s tardiness, partly caused by cuts, together with reductions in--and misuse of--funds elsewhere, are largely responsible for Ebola spiralling out of control. [Snip] It’s just the beginning. At present the numbers of people infected are thought to be doubling in under 30 days--and the blue-chip US Center for Disease Control and Prevention predicts that, if Ebola

President Obama was at Northwestern University on Thursday to deliver an economic speech that, he and his team hoped, would lay out the case for why the public is better off today than they were six years ago -- even if they didn´t feel it in their everday lives. Instead, Obama just gave every Republican ad-maker in the country more fodder for negative ads linking Democratic candidates to him. Here are the four sentences that will draw all of the attention (they come more than two thirds of the way through the speech): "I am not on the ballot this

In a speech in Boston, First Lady Michelle Obama left behind talk of exercise and school lunches, exchanging it all for bald politics by claiming that under her husband the US economy is now better off "by almost every economic measure." The First Lady appeared at the Strand Theater Friday to stump for Martha Coakley´s campaign for Governor of Massachusetts. Coakley needs help badly, as even in blue, blue Massachusetts, the race between Democrat Coakley and Republican Charlie Baker is essentially a toss up. In her remarks, Obama pushed the President´s newest campaign line that he has saved the economy based on

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. I’m always sceptical when I hear scare-mongering claims about diseases. From bird flu to SARS, we’re repeatedly told it’s going to be the new Plague that will wipe everyone out and then…it doesn’t. Probably because the scare-mongering itself makes people take it seriously enough to prevent it spreading. But there is something very sinister and frightening about this Ebola outbreak, which has so far infected 7,100 and killed 3,300. [Snip] It’s hard to think of a more cack-handed, dangerously inept response than what transpired in Dallas. Consider what we now know: Thomas Eric Duncan, a 42-year-old Liberian citizen, had been

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in
