Fears grow as Iran speeds
up Hamas arms delivery

Daily Express [UK], by David Pilditch

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 8/25/2014 10:34:20 PM

Iran yesterday upped the stakes in the Middle East crisis by pledging to speed up arming Palestinians to launch strikes on Israel. Tehran said it would “accelerate” its support for Hamas with weapons and missile-building technology after Israel allegedly deployed a spy drone over Iran. General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, said: “We will accelerate the arming of the West Bank and we reserve the right to give any response.” Iran has confirmed it supplied fighters from Hamas and the Islamic Jihad with the technology for the rockets being fired relentlessly into Israel from Gaza since July 8.

Comments:
And Obamacles is holding up arms supplies to Israel.

Am I right in thinking Iran obtained that technology from the US in the first place?

The drone is a lame excuse for what Iran is doing normally. Iran is terrified of Israel.

GPs are increasingly handing out antibiotics that turn out to be useless, as up to half of courses of the drugs ´fail´ and result in further treatment, a study has found. Groundbreaking research has analysed 11m courses of antibiotics prescribed to British patients over the last 22 years covering the most common diseases areas including tonsilitis, pneumonia and ear infections. Scientists said the findings were ´bleak´ with one in six courses of antibiotics failing in 2012 but for some drugs this was more than one in two. Denmark will send seven F-16 fighter jets to Iraq as part of the U.S. coalition to dislodge Islamic State extremists, Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt said on Friday. She told a news conference she received an official request for assistance from the United States on Thursday evening. "The government is therefore ready to quickly send seven F-16 fighter jets to the operation," Thorning-Schmidt said. She said she expected the Danish parliament to approve the country´s participation next week, and the planes would start operating right away. The planes will serve only over Iraqi airspace, and not over Syria, she said.

Have you ever wondered why conservatives don´t talk more often about nationalisation of industry, wealth redistribution, affirmative action, the need for higher taxes and more government intervention, Islamophobia, the glories of multiculturalism, the "war on women", and the urgent need to rein in economic growth in order to give the planet a more sustainable future? Me neither. Conservatives don´t talk about these things because they are idle leftist preoccupations which have no place in a political philosophy based on personal responsibility, liberty and empiricism. Which is why I´m a little puzzled by the latest outburst by Meghan McCain--daughter of US senator

As British politicians take the decision whether to bomb Iraq yet again, Patrick Cockburn has produced the first history of the rise of the Islamic State or Isil. No one is better equipped for this task. Cockburn, one of our greatest war correspondents, has charted the Iraqi insurrection and the Syrian civil war. His book makes compelling reading. He traces the roots of the Islamic State to the Western invasion of Iraq 11 years ago, when Saddam’s army was disbanded by its American conquerors. With nowhere else to go, some joined forces with al-Qaeda in a brutal rebellion against what they

Intelligence officials from the United States have been stunned by claims by the Iraqi Prime Minister that ISIS militants are planning to carry out terror attacks on the New York and Paris subways. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi today claimed to have received ´credible´ information from intelligence officials in Baghdad that foreign fighters belonging to ISIS were plotting attacks. Asked if the attacks had been thwarted, he said, ´No´ but added that America had been alerted. The U.S. National Security Council was quick to say there was no evidence to suggest any such plot exists but adding it would look into any evidence.

David Cameron last night urged Britain to shake off the spectre of the Iraq war and back potentially years of RAF strikes against the ‘psychopathic murderers’ of Islamic State. MPs have been scrambled for an emergency recall of Parliament tomorrow to sanction bombing raids on terrorist positions in northern Iraq. All three party leaders indicated support for air strikes, and the attacks are expected to begin as early as tomorrow night. But the Prime Minister said the fight against Islamic terrorism could last for years. Mr Cameron, who last night held talks with Iraqi prime minister Haider al-Abadi to finalise military plans, stressed that

Eric Holder Jr., the nation´s first black U.S. attorney general, is preparing to announce his resignation Thursday after a tumultuous tenure marked by civil rights advances, national security threats, reforms to the criminal justice system and five and a half years of fights with Republicans in Congress. Two sources familiar with the decision tell NPR that Holder, 63, intends to leave the Justice Department as soon as his successor is confirmed, a process that could run through 2014 and even into next year. A former U.S. government official says Holder has been increasingly "adamant" about his desire to leave soon

President Obama on Wednesday delivered a speech at the United Nations filled with his usual soaring rhetoric of global collectivism and the importance of “international norms.” But the president also displayed a shocking naivete about global affairs, religion, Islam — a Pollyannaish interpretation on the state of the world and America’s role in it. Although Mr. Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize just eight months into office, the president made his annual trip to the ineffectual world council to deliver a call to war. “Ladies and gentlemen, we come together at a crossroads between war and peace,

Normally, no one would care that in a recent Atlantic essay — “Why I Hope to Die at 75” — 57-year-old Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel argued that living to be 75 years old was long enough for anyone. After 75, Emanuel suggests, “We are no longer remembered as vibrant and engaged but as feeble, ineffectual, even pathetic.” But Emanuel is no garden-variety crackpot. Nor is he a wannabe science-fiction writer dreaming of a centrally planned planet of robust youthful humanoids.
