Luis Gutiérrez Is Basically
Giggling with Excitement about
Obama’s Executive Amnesty Plans

National Review Online, by Andrew Johnson

“Huge,” “bold,” and “unprecedented” is how a thrilled Representative Luis Gutiérrez (D., Ill.) described reports that the Obama administration is considering granting legal status to up to 5 million illegal immigrants. He’s especially excited, he said, because the White House is actually trying to downplay the significance of the huge measure. “It’s music to my ears” said Gutiérrez, one of the leading voices in the House to pass comprehensive immigration reform, on MSNBC. Last month, he predicted that as many as 5 million people might gain status if President Obama opts to take unilateral action. Gutiérrez urged communities to take

Comments:
This video will set your hair on fire. If I hadn´t controlled myself I would have rammed my fist through my monitor. Gutierrez was disgusting and infuriating to watch as he gleefully encouraged further lawless behavior from Obama. His excitement about millions of more illegals crushing the social, welfare, educational and healthcare systems is appalling.

People screaming "Impeach"... what part of "waste of time" do you not understand?

Impeaching Obama 1) accomplishes NOTHING because the trial will be in the SENATE which will NEVER convict and 2) makes Obiwon the "victim" he wants to be. (Distraction from numerous issues, and which he can exploit for multiple purposes). Impeachment can do NO good until there is other than a Democrat dominated Senate.

Remember the bottom line in all this for Obama, the liberal Democrats and socialists is to convert the illegal alien population and all their foreign relatives who would get to come here to join their legalized relative into eventual Democrat voters in the tens of millions.

But they can´t move that very liberal political agenda unless it is facilitated by enough Republicans to put those millions of aliens on a lawful path to what amounts to duel nationality, whereby the aliens would keep their home country citizenship, plus be granted US citizenship and US voting rights. Any temporary immigration status that Obama would grant millions of illegal aliens would have no basis in law and would not result in the illegal aliens attaining US voting rights as is the liberal Democrat objective in all this.

If Obama declares some sort of amnesty for all adult illegal aliens who have US born children or have illegal alien children living here with them, if you put two and two together, it´s easy to figure out why the recent mass migration of unaccompanied illegal alien children, and young illegal aliens, who are coming to join adult illegal alien relatives who were already living in the USA started this particular year.

It is not a "waste of time", #5. The power of impeachment is the permanent stigmatizing of the accused. Witness Richard Milhous Nixon. He was never actually impeached, let alone convicted - but the stigma of the Rodino committee recommendation is a permanent part of his legacy. Likewise Andrew Johnson and William Jefferson Clinton.

Impeachment is also taking a political stand, and letting the political chips fall. It is putting country over party.

Impeachment forces a political debate - even in the liberal media - of the propriety of the accused´s conduct of his office.

Failure to impeach might even lead to the "alternative" that Benjamin Franklin feared.

That is why the Framers placed it in the Constitution.

That is why it is not a "waste of time".

Granting legal status to illegals is pure lawlessness. I don´t care how much this little pipsqueak wants it. It breaks the law. If we don´t stand for the rule of law now, what good is it? If one man can arbitrarily overrule federal law by fiat, we are no longer a republic. We have taken a step into a dictatorship and are heading down a very dark path. The rule of law IS the foundation on which this country was built. Without that, we are mere subjects under a tyrant´s thumb. Unfortunately, our sorry politicians do not see this because they are ideologues blinded by political correctness and political ambition. Some things are bigger than party. This is one of them. Obama does not have the power to do this. He must seize it and I believe he will. The fact that is even a possibility is evidence that the Republic is hanging by a thread. What has happened to this once great republic? I am furious and so bitter that the men and women we sent to represent us have betrayed us and this country. If Obama gets away with this, don´t think it will be a one time deal. Tyrants never stop, they always push forward.

If Obama plans to legalize millions of aliens, we as American citizens, should be using the Social Network to condemn these amnesty plans. Our shores are already flooded with so many aliens we cannot handle. Still, the president would force more on us. Let´s start sending him, and our Congressmen, snail mail and emails condemning his amnesty policy. Who knows? .....for once he might listen.

Apologies for another post, but I missed a few very important points in #7. This is "for the record" only:

Impeachment has a particular effect on a narcissistic President (like our current Emperor), who is driven by legacy and a place in history. It is a public rebuke that they will very much "care" about. Impeachment or even the threat of same played a part in Nixon´s resignation, and to this day sticks in Clinton´s "craw".

Impeachment re-asserts the authority of the House, preserving the critical balance of powers among the branches of the federal government.

It serves notice to all future Presidents that their executive orders will be scrutinized in a serious manner. POTUS may have the pen and a phone, but Congress has the purse and impeachment - and don´t you forget it.

Politically, it will place the Democrats in a box. It will force them to be "on the record" regarding the President´s actions. They will support their President or they will support conviction and removal. There will be little middle ground in which to hide. Their lapdog media cannot ignore it. The public will be glued to their TVs, following yet another compelling trial.

The public mood has soured, as the less palatable aspects of Obamacare and the consequences of immigration and foreign policy kick in. The economy has not bounced back as it should. The nation is duly concerned about a new terrorist threat and the pull back into war. Hillary and many Democrat candidates are carefully distancing themselves from the Emperor. Impeachment will blow all that sky high.

There are other arguments for impeachment that also do not require conviction - but I´ll rest my case here.

Why is it Democrats only talk about letting millions of people "cut in line" to gain their citizenship?

Obomination even mentioned in a speech that he didn´t think anyone should cut in line, they should go to the back, but let them get processed in a legal way.

Do Democrats want millions of people recanting the story of how they "came to become a US Citizen"? How they were granted a special exemption?

Sure, things are tough in a lot of countries all over the world. Millions would want to come if they could.
And we should be letting millions attain the opportunity for citizenship, but in a LEGAL manner.

Gutierrez likes all this because he sees himself as the next Jesse, but I doubt the growing Hispanic population will continue to follow the Liberal White Democrat establishment.

I agree there is real bang for the buck in the impeachment of Obie. But, is it better to light the fuse now in view of November 2014 elections or keep our powder dry until 2016. Or does the timing and importance of election cycles have anything to do with doing what is right (impeach in 2014 and convict in 2015)? Yes, elections have consequences (this is a hint for the US senate seats up for election in November and what we need to achieve - senate control).

While more famous for his anti-war activities as a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s and ‘70s, he is now a committed educator. In early June 1964, a group of Republican governors sought to wrestle control of their party from Barry Goldwater, the Arizona conservative who was about to lead the GOP to one of the most crushing defeats in its history. The governors saw a disaster in the making, and sought a moderate candidate who could capture the imaginations of grassroots Republicans—but also beat President Lyndon Johnson in the general election. When reporters began to grill Rice about whether the president had already given the authorization to the militarily to bomb in Syria, Rice kept repeating they would not be releasing information on the timing of those air strikes. Reporters continued to push with several trying to explain their question is if the president has already given authorization. Laughing uncomfortably Rice exited the room

The National Security Advisor of the United States did something astonishing yesterday. In the middle of a reporter’s questioning, she bolted from the podium of the White House pressroom, saying, “Nice to see you,” fleeing a situation she evidently was unable to cope with. The question that caused Ms. Rice to flee was a fairly simple one: whether or not the president has authorized the bombing of targets in Syria. Rice responded multiple times that the timing of strikes would not be released, but that was not the question at hand, and reporters pressed her on whether her boss had authorized

SALEM, N.H. — Voters have soured on President Obama. National and statewide trends favor Republicans. And here in his new home state, Scott Brown’s truck is gaining speed. Analysts and recent polls have found Brown closing in on US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, the Democratic incumbent he is vying to unseat, in a race that has become increasingly nasty and expensive. Once largely dismissed by critics as an unlikely second act in a state he moved to only last year, Brown’s Senate bid is increasingly seen as a plausible path back to the US Capitol. Observers see a race that may be largely determined
