“Glenn Beck’s The Blaze Talks to Time Warner About Replacing HLN,” show-biz Website The Wrap claimed on Friday: In an ongoing effort to revamp HLN, Time Warner’s CNN has been talking to Glenn Beck‘s The Blaze as a possible partner, an individual with knowledge of the talks told TheWrap. Sometimes my satellite company makes The Blaze free for a week or so. I´ll watch an hour or two of it but then I have to change the channel. The guy is a cross between a Tasmanian Devil and a bad church video.
I agree with much of what he says, but find the way he says it disturbing. Not everything signifies the end of the world is imminent.
I watched faithfully when he was on Fox but got seriously burned out on him. I doubt I would watch again.

Will we be subjected to the giggling and interruptions of his side-kicks?

Also, I am surprised a capitalist like him is stopping the further growth of the dying technology that is cable. All I hear is whining that HIS network is not getting the coverage HE thinks it should. Most days I have to change stations after a short time.

I think Glenn doesn´t do much politics on his radio show any more so it gives him, Pat and Stu plenty of time for their goofy stuff. I used to listen intently. Now the station may be on but I´m not listening and if the laughter gets too bad, stations get changed. Teddy bears and diapers to the border a few weeks ago about did it for me.

That uneasy feeling you have is because, as hard as he tries, Beck has no center, no real sense of self. Read his bio and you find a person who has jumped around from belief to non-belief to belief to fad to drugs. . .he doesn´t really know what he believes. He´s truly like a blind man stumbling in the dark.

No expense had been spared by the organisers of the $1.5m event. The stage of New York’s Madison Square Garden was filled with dancers in traditional dress, while a laser show and holograms of historical Indian figures lit up the backdrop. Shots of rising skyscrapers, microchip factories and Asia’s largest solar-energy plant were framed by balloons in the colours of the Indian and US flags. When Narendra Modi, the new prime minister of India, took to the stage on Sunday night, he told the wildly enthusiastic audience that the 21st century would belong to Asia, and possibly to his own

Swiss voters on Sunday rejected a plan for a seismic shift from the country´s all-private health insurance system to a state-run scheme. Referendum results showed that almost 62 percent of voters had shot down a reform pushed by left-leaning parties which say the current private system is busting the budgets of ordinary residents. The results also underlined the national divisions over the hotly-contested issue as the country´s German-speaking regions voted against the plan, while their French-speaking counterparts were in favour. Switzerland´s private insurance lobby hailed the vote. "The Swiss population does not want a single national scheme," said the Swiss

Just three years after France´s upper house Senate made history with its first ever swing to the left, the right is expected to claw back a majority Sunday in a new setback for Socialist President Francois Hollande. The far-right National Front could also win a seat for the first time, as more than 87,500 regional and local elected officials nationwide vote for their preferred candidate, six months after the Socialists suffered a drubbing in municipal polls that saw the right make significant gains.

Last night the Washington Free Beacon’s Alana Goodman broke yet another story about Hillary Clinton by doing journalism any major media outlet could do but, for some reason, doesn’t. The Beacon looked through archives at UT-Austin and discovered correspondence between Clinton and Saul Alinsky. Call him is an isolationist if you like, but it’d be nice to hear some coherent answers. ATLANTA — Texas, America’s second-most populous state behind California, saw 13 of its last abortion clinics turn away women on Friday, after a federal appeals court upheld a law that practically guarantees that only a handful of clinics will remain open in the state. The strictest-of-its-kind Texas law requires abortion providers to build hospital-grade facilities and obtain sometimes impossible-to-get hospital admitting privileges. After signed into law last year by Gov. Rick Perry (R), the law forced most of the 41 clinics operating to close. Thursday’s ruling wiped out a brief victory this summer for abortion rights proponents,
