White House Insists Obama Didn´t Dismiss
ISIS As The ´Jayvee Team´

Business Insider Magazine, by Hunter Walker

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 8/25/2014 5:27:58 PM

Following recent territorial gains by jihadists affiliated with the extremist group Islamic State, conservatives have criticized President Barack Obama for a January interview with The New Yorker in which he seemed to dismiss the group as a "jayvee team." In a briefing Monday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest rejected this interpretation of the president´s remarks and attempted to clarify them. "It´s important that we don´t sort of shorthand the analogy the president was trying to draw here," Earnest said.

Comments:
Another day and another dose of demonstrably false balloon juice from the most perfidious administration in U.S. history.

What Josh Earnest attempted to say was "Pay no attention to what you heard Obama say and what he was seen and heard to say on tape and what was written quoting what he said. Ignore all that and believe what I, the Minister of Propaganda, now say he said"

Joseph Goebbels would be proud of his star students Barack Obama and Josh Earnest.

The president is so brilliant, you understand, that you can´t simply "let him be clear." He simply can´t be clear--or clearly understood. Each word of his is so deep and cleverly nuanced that ordinary people like you and me can´t possibly "get" him. We have to wait until he (or one of his spokes-kiddies) comes around later to unpack the jewels he lays on the unwashed public. Just sit tight, and don´t worry about what he says. He´ll tell you what he meant when he´s ready. Even if his exact words are in the public record--he probably didn´t say what he said. You simpletons just need help interpreting his genius.

And we thought Gibbs and and Carney were bad! This is downright insulting that they think we would actually believe these outright lies. It is just stunning to see it daily. What is not mentioned in the article is if those in the press started laughing and severely ridiculing him. If only that could have been true.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said those pushing for her to retire are “misguided,” arguing that President Obama could not appoint a similar replacement to the bench in an interview published Tuesday. Ginsburg, at 81, is the oldest member of the Court. Some on the left have suggested that she might retire while Obama is in office, to guarantee that a Democratic president could appoint her successor. Ginsburg has said before that she is "likely to remain for a while," but offered insight on her reasoning in an interview with Elle magazine. "[A]nybody who thinks that if I step

Hundreds of environmentalists plan to "shut down" the New York Stock Exchange later Tuesday to protest the relationship between global warming and Big Business. Scores of protesters had already gathered in lower Manhattan early Tuesday for an event dubbed #FloodWallStreet. They planned to march a few blocks north to Wall Street and stage a "sit-in" until forced to leave. Their beef: the fossil fuels industry and other companies are profiting at the expense of the environment. The activists said they were willing to be arrested to drive home the link between global capitalism and worsening climate change.

President Barack Obama, stumping for the Democrats ahead of November´s congressional elections, has twice invoked Ronald Reagan´s seminal campaign question: "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" Framing the debate like that helped Reagan twice - in 1980 when he beat incumbent Jimmy Carter, and then again in 1984 when he won re-election during an economic upswing. But a similar message has failed to resonate for Obama primarily for one reason: while he stresses the economy has improved in almost every aspect on his watch, average family incomes have slipped. We’re being had. Again. For six years, President Obama has endeavored to will the country into accepting two pillars of his alternative national-security reality. Second, he asserts that the threat is unrelated to Islam, which is innately peaceful, moderate, and opposed to the wanton “violent extremists” who purport to act in its name.
