PBS’s Gwen Ifill: ‘There’s a
New Civil-Rights Movement’
Beginning in Ferguson

On NBC’s Meet the Press, guest Gwen Ifill of PBS called the unrest and violence that erupted in Ferguson, Mo., the beginning of a “new civil-rights movement.” “There’s a new civil-rights movement which has sprung up,” Ifill said. “These young people in the streets, these young people who created a social-media movement around Michael Brown, they’re not saying pass a law, they’re saying enforce the current ones.” But some people have called for new laws, and later in the program, Reverend Al Sharpton said, “Our demonstrations must lead to legislation.” Sharpton went on to say that, “We must turn this moment into

The liberal Democrats and the black socialists could care less how many young blacks rob, loot, and shoot each other, the liberal Democrat and black socialist focus now is to manipulate the Michael Brown situation into some sort of a civil rights upraising to encourage black folks to vote for the Democrats in the November election.

The Gwen Ifills of the world don´t oppose racial bigotry and lynching. They just want to be the ones doing it. They don´t want justice, they want revenge.

Rioting and looting are their way of lashing out at Obama.

Black unrest is at record levels because Black families have been devastated by this President´s policies. Since they cannot lash out at a black president - they find another excuse to riot.

Most frightening is that the GOP will surely allow Ifilll to serve as a debate moderator in 2016. "Tell me, Mr. Repub, why do you and your fellow Republicans want to deny poor people food, housing and healthcare? And, why didn´t you condemn George W Bush for starting wars against followers of the Muslim faith? And as follow-up, why do you insist on controlling the bodies of American women?

Yes twit, lets examine the initial confrontation. We have young adults proudly walking down the middle of the road. We then have a police car drive by and tell the youths to get on the sidewalk, an order defiantly refused. Would the cops have done the same if it were 10 year old or a 60 year old of any race or sex? Yes, no civil rights violation.

Then after a radio call about a strong arm robbery there is a second interaction the results in a scuffle and a discharged weapon. Is it a civil rights violation to get out of your police car to talk to two youths about a robbery? No. Is it a civil rights violation to try to pull your gun when your suspect puts hands on you? No.

Then there is the final interaction with both Brown and Williams out of the car. Is it a violation of civil rights for the cop to say stop? No.

The questionable behavior is all owned by Brown. He defiantly refused to get on the sidewalk. When Williams brought his car alongside, he became confrontational. When the gun discharged, he ran, which is his only reasonable response of the evening. But then he changed his mind and became confrontational again. Why did he decide to try to bulldoze an already angry cop with gun already drawn?

Was this the combination of culture and drugs?

I believe there may be. Whites have had it up to their necks with all the P>C> and victimization agendas and simply may not take it any longer. The" new movement " will be Whites no longer catering to these agendas and no longer electing unqualified minority members simply out of feelings of guilt. Those who voted for the current President because they wanted to give a Black person a chance to show how capable he is have found out the hard way it wasn´t to be. He has let down EVERYONE, of all colors. My opinions.

What other legislation can possibly come out of this based on the actual facts of this situation?

Relocate them to a black reservation where they can continue to kill themselves. Chicago would be a great location.

I hope she gets the dates right on this one--I remember her tweeting a mocking message about Palin getting the date wrong on the Boston Tea Party (Palin was correct and Ifill was the one who was wrong)--Ifill never apologized or admitted she was wrong, she just deleted the tweet. But not before it was captured by news outlets. Sometimes technology is a good thing. Ha!!

There is still racism around, but most of us know in our hearts and show in our actions the truth that we are all one race, rich varying shades and tones of pale to dark brown, all beautiful and equal. My son knows when and if he marries, his wife will be very light or very dark, or somewhere in between. It does not matter. Our heritages and histories and values and faith are all unique and important but physical characteristics? It´s a no brainer. The Left enjoys dividing us up into classes and colors and putting the blame on everyone but themselves.

It appears the fulcrum of Turkish sensitivity and support for ISIS has been identified. The tipping point reached. As we previously outlined, the action of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan reflected a tacit alliance with the overall goals of ISIS. However, also as previously discussed, we anticipated a forced political shift as the Kurdish populations continued to be driven in greater numbers toward the Turkish borders. Our educated hunch was the quid-pro-quo (which led to the quiet release of the 49 Turkish hostages) included an acceptance by Erdogan to allow the Sunni jihadists, ISIS, a certain amount of, well, ‘Islamic

It’s a story nearly every grade-schooler knows: Every year, millions of monarch butterflies emerge from their chrysalises in the northern United States and southern Canada. By the time the leaves start to change color in the fall, they take to the skies in clouds of fluttering orange and black and embark on an arduous journey southward to their wintering grounds in the Oyamel fir forests in southern Mexico. Past financial deals of Treasury Secretary Jack Lew and Obama trade czar Michael Froman could be dragged into the administration’s bid to jam retroactive taxes on corporations that set up tax-avoiding operations overseas. Critics of the administration’s plan to end so-called corporate “inversions” are looking at the investments that both Obama officials had in the Cayman Islands, a tax haven, before joining Team Obama. Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

Go to a grocery store in California and buy all the milk, eggs and vegetables you want. But there’s one thing you won’t find at the checkout line, beginning July 1, 2015: Plastic bags to carry your stuff home. Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday signed into law a ban on single-use plastic bags, making California the first state to prohibit stores from using the ubiquitous carry-alls. Shoppers will be charged 10 cents for every paper bag and heavy-duty plastic bag they use. “This bill is a step in the right direction,” Brown said in a press release announcing his approval. “It

The hawkish Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina says he is thinking about running for president in 2016. In an interview with Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard, the senator, running for re-election to the Senate this year, said: “If I get through my general election, if nobody steps up in the presidential mix, if nobody’s out there talking — me and McCain have been talking — I may just jump in to get to make these arguments,” Graham said. Graham, 59, also dismissed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, 43, as a presidential candidate, saying he is too young. “He’s a good
