Obama´s Willful Blindness
American Thinker, by Ed Lasky

Original Article

Posted By:DW626, 8/25/2014 5:24:21 AM

In America justice is supposed to be blind not our commander-in-chief. In Obama’s topsy-turvy America justice is not blind but our President is-and willfully so-when it comes to threats facing Americans. Will he remove his blinders? Only if he is forced to and by then it may be too late. Charles Krauthammer, one of America’s smartest columnists, said it best regarding President Obama and the threats to America coming from ISIS: “I don’t think the issue is the president was unaware or taken by surprise. I think this was willful blindness to the nature of the threat.”

I don´t agree that Dr. K is one of America´s smartest columnists. He was all in for Zippy when he was running and was elected the first time. Took a few years for his eyes to be opened. Him and many others that should have known better if they hadn´t been blinded by the opportunity to feel good about themselves by helping to elect the first ´black´ man as president. Dr. K was a day late and a dollar short in my book.

It´s not blindness. It´s called being purposeful. After all, did he not write in his book that he would always take the side of the muzzies.

"Wilfull blindness" is a very generous description, and skirts around the real question, which of course is: whose side are "progressives" really on?

The last paragraph states what so many of us have known all along, but so few dare say out loud.

This article is an outstanding denunciation of Obama’s governorship and a clear statement of the peril into which he has led our nation. But the article doesn’t discuss the basic failure that opened the door for this disaster – the failure of the media.

A democracy cannot succeed without scrutiny. We much watch, judge, and correct impending errors. And it is the job of the press to lead us in that scrutiny. Today, we have a media that applauds every word and action from the Democrats while heaping abuse on all Republicans. George Bush was ridiculed constantly while in the White House. Even his pronunciation “nuclear” was derided ad nausea. But Obama can undermine our basic strengths and leave the nation increasingly imperiled with hardly a frown from the press.

In 2016, we will surely elect a Republican president. But if some serious restructuring of the media does not follow, this nation will not survive.

Question: Are the following words those of a rational, sensible, reasonably prudent young man who lives in the "real world"?---"I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children...this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal."

BINGO!

I has been BO´s goal to eviscerate American military, economic, and moral strength. He has succeeded, to a degree. Only time will tell how bad the damage is.

Will we recognize the complicit guilt of the media and dems in general? Will the electorate bounce them out of office? Will Pelousy and Reid be marginalized as they deserve? Will the public continue to be blind to the damage these idiots are doing?

No doubt, much of what Mr.Obama does is a matter of willful blindness..e.g., making announcements about things he knows little or nothing about (healthcare planning will be posted on C-SPAN for all to see; you can keep your healthcare plan).

But one wonders whether Mr.Obama´s tendency to escape and avoid responsibilities signals a mental health problem that is not simply a matter of willful blindness.

(Agree with Mr. Lasky: Charles Krauthammer is one of America´s smartest columnists.)

In 2008 when Dr. K was all gaga over the Kenyan, it was Sarah Palin who was alone in raising the alarm. Lack of character and indecisiveness are two of Senator 0bama´s most glaring shortcomings, she said in her debate with Joe Biden, the world will move in to take advantage. This was prophecy not clever and pithy after the fact analysis.

Regarding Dr. Krauthammer´s change of mind about BO: if he has indeed changed his mind, then this is good.

One of the most important thinkers on the conservative side is David Horowitz. He was once a flaming Marxist. He had an intellectual, philosophical, political awakening.

When someone appears to have had his eyes opened, and over time we have evidence of its sincerity, then let´s not cast him aside because of an earlier "lapse" in judgment.

It is fair to be skeptical, but we need to be careful about inflexible condemnation.

As for BO being willfully blind as opposed to being unaware --or IGNORANT-- there is what Lasky mentions in the last paragraph, a much more disturbing possibility: he is not disturbed by or opposed to the threats.

Have we ever wondered this about a President?

Never forget that our President Obama is fully aware of the plans that the Hamas savages had in place to greet the Jewish New Year, using the tunnels that he and Hildebeest funded with our tax dollars.

Thousands of murdered Jews; thousands of Jewish women and children hostages, tranquilized and tethered to the shackles within the Obama-Clinton-Hamas tunnels.

It is not merely cutesy wordplay, to cite our president as "President Obola."

He truly has gone viral. He truly has and infected the world.

To make a difference going forward, Trey Gowdy and the House’s Benghazi select committee may want to ask how the U.S. got involved in Libya in the first place. What they will discover is that Barack Obama borrowed a page from the Clinton playbook on Kosovo, a lethal exercise in mendacity unparalleled in recent American history. Much of the mischief I unearthed in my forthcoming book, You Lie!, I expected to find. This nugget surprised me. In his March 2011 address to the nation, Barack Obama laid out the case for America’s surprise military intervention in Libya.

Lernergate unveiled for the public a deeper, even more sinister problem at the IRS. The evidence of criminal wrongdoing in the Tax Exempt unit of the IRS, with its cover-up involving widespread destruction of evidence, is like one highlight reel of a bigger reality within the Service and government agencies generally. It’s one of the oldest rules in politics. And it’s one that her husband, Bill Clinton, made famous: “When you’re in a hole, stop digging!” So why is Secretary Hillary Clinton continuing to dig away? Her book tour was bound to be rocky. With a tin ear for the nuances of young feminists, she titled her book, Hard Choices. But the Washington Post recently published Janet Harris’ column urging all liberals to “stop saying abortion is a difficult choice." If you talk like that, Harris says, you are putting the focus on the fetus. Well, we can’t do that!

Is Obama the most pathetic president in American history? That was a rhetorical question. Barack Obama promised so much: to heal our racial divisions, slice the deficit, provide health care that was cheaper, more widely available and that would not add one dime to the deficit. More grandly, he promised to stop the rise of the oceans and heal the planet. He was so cool. He was transcendent –an enlightened being -- a “Lightworker” and a “sort of God.” Yes…well...how did all that work out? Critics have judged him by his own words and he has been found wanting.
