Report: Obama Delayed James Foley
Rescue a Month, Fretting over
His Image and Golfing

Breitbart InstaBlog, by Dan Riehl

Original Article

According to a new Sunday Times report by Toby Harden, "Pentagon sources said Foley and the others might well have been rescued but Obama, concerned about the ramifications of US troops being killed or captured in Syria, took too long to authorise the mission." It´s claimed that Obama was concerned about his administration being Carterized had the mission failed. For President Barack Obama the decision to send in the Night Stalkers was an agonising one. The audacious bin Laden raid in Pakistan had been a success but also preying on his mind

Comments:
0bama didn´t seem to have the same "problem´ when trading five terrorist leaders from GITMO for an Army deserter. And, this is without notifying Congress, thereby breaking specific established law that no one seems to be able to enforce.

It comes down to just one thing; Øbama is a moral coward, incapable of making the tough decision the office requires.

2 - I imagine same as always - any impeachment action would have to wait until after the Nov elections. Without a majority in the Senate an impeachment vote in the House is just an exercise in futility. And, if started now it would mobilize the Dem base to actually vote in Nov. Right now we benefit from them being lazy and uninformed...

Cold political calculations seem to be all that matters to the White House. I guess we shouldn´t be surprised when you recall how Benghazi was in flames and he went to bed early, so he´d be in tip-top shape for a Hollywood Gayla the following day.

It´s hard to believe and "leader" would dither and twiddle thumbs once the location of a hostage is known by intelligence operatives. Most of us would be anxious to learn of the location to immediately order a rescue mission. No better way to screw up the window of opportunity than hesitating - a day late and a dollar short.

Hagel´s statement, "The operation went flawlessly, they weren´t there", was good for a chuckle. So that is flawless, aye? lol. It makes one wonder if Hagel was implicitly criticizing Obama.

This is unconscionable. First Benghazi and now this? Obama does not have a moral compass. He has nothing inside him that urges him to feel compassion and move heaven and earth to save the lives of Americans. I can´t imagine leaving a fellow American to the brutal hands of these savages and not doing everything within my power and the power of the United States government to save them. How cold and heartless do you have to be to dither around while people are in grave danger. When your political optics are more important than the life of a fellow human being, then you have a serious moral failing. Obama is the ultimate narcissist and views his reality through a political lens. He is a morally deficient coward.

It is no excuse for this kind of dithering but Obama knows how he demagogued Bush for failures that were not failures. When all the western intelligence services believe that Saddam had WMD it is not a lie to say so. I believe to this day that he did have them and they were hastily shipped to syria before the invasion then the whole thing was demagogued to death by Obama. Obama never respected the understanding that the presidents foreign policy decisions were not to be politicized. Every Bush policy was politicized but Bush has said nothing about Obama policy. Obama defends himself as if everyone was like himself. Having ignored this gentleman´s agreement himself he is paralyzed by the possibility of getting a dose of his own medicine!

Outstanding observation, OP.

He has no problems giving Muslims a blank check but give him a white WASP, who may (God forbid) be a Christian, and it´s time to tee up.

If this story is true, and given his blithering dithering on any matter than could save America and Americans, then he does not deserve to continue to hold this Office.

His is not the behavior of a rational human being. Having read "Blood Feud" and assumed it was true, we know that Valerie Jarrett is pretty much in charge of his decisions and that she and Michelle are now joined at the hip.

So since Obama cannot bear to personally and boldly make decisions that might reflect badly on his egocentric hide, he just makes no decisions at all, leaving it to others.

Who is really responsible for Foley´s death? Ultimately, Obama. But who is making his decisions for him? That person(s) should be in prison in the cell next to Obama´s. At the very least.

FTA: “I’m told it was almost a 30-day delay from when they said they wanted to go to when he finally gave the green light. They were ready to go in June to grab the guy [Foley] and they weren’t permitted.”

In a letter to his parents, memorized by a fellow hostage, James said, “I really feel I can touch you even in this darkness when I pray.”

The hearts and souls of all felt the prayerful touch of James except the heart and soul of one – the one who could have saved him.

Well now I understand the very precise wording of the military regarding the reason they did not rescue hostages. In the interview something close to this was said: "We were on the ground longer than expected."
Obama played games with the timing of the binladen approval also.

I have said it before and this "dithering" about Foley makes it clear that Obama had nothing to do with the Osama Bin Laden capture. Zero is incapable of making decisions and as such he would have been totally incapable of making the monumental decision about Osama. He would have never been able to pull the trigger on that operation. The SEALS and their commander I will bet, pulled the trigger and told Zero about it afterward so the fraud could take the credit. If in fact, Zero had made the Osama decision, then the Foley decision would have been a much easier one for him. Having taken out Osama successfully, he would not be worried about being Carterized and he certainly would not have taken a month to do it.

This fraud POS that masquerades as a president is a danger to every one but dictators and terrorists. Will we survive the next two years? Only God knows.

This is getting so ridiculously easy to see through and yet the conservative press is STILL trying to create "nuance" and "gosh, Obama is detached" and my personal fave "is he getting bored with the job?"

Have we seen other tyrants in history do similar things like oh, I don´t know, maybe Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro (especially Castro), Polpot, Chavez, Achmadimadabadoo? Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

Figured it out yet? Probably not. Maybe when Krauthammer solves this easy puzzle and everyone suddenly praises the good Lincoln chalice using doc yet again for being so brilliant for discovering something no one could ever possibly figure out years before, you will. It´s too late now so by then it´ll be WAY too late.

Liberals tend to devote a significant portion of their daily lives to proving how not racist they are. One particularly expedient way of doing this is to declare that something a conservative has said or done is totally racist, and then to place oneself in opposition to the thing that was racist: “See, I’m not a racist!” As result, the List of Things That Are Racist has grown incomprehensibly long. The Free Beacon‘s devotion to public service obligates us to provide this list (not exhaustive by any means) of what liberals do and do not consider to be racist. Things That Are Racist: 1. Turkey´s parliament voted 298-98 on Thursday in favor of launching military operations across the border in Syria and Iraq, in a bid to combat the self-proclaimed "Islamic State" (IS). Despite opposition from two parties, many had viewed passage of the motion as a foregone conclusion. The legislation comes as IS attacks have caused thousands to flee the Syrian town officially known as Ayn al-Arab, but called Kobani by its Kurdish majority population, across the border from Turkey, despite airstrikes by the US-led coalition on the group´s positions in Syria since last week and in Iraq since early August.

Holder Jr. was itching to leave, ready to roll with a successor? More important, given Holder’s foot inching toward the door, why did it not time this departure more intelligently — rather than having it arrive just before an election and the prospect of Democrats losing control of the Senate?

Oregon pols battle over when to

Cover Oregon was supposed to be a shining example of ObamaCare at its best. The state insurance exchange for the state of Oregon received $300 million in federal grants to launch a state-of-the-art website. But it never worked, and not a single Oregonian was able to sign up for health care from start to finish. So now, Oregon is in the process of pulling the plug on the site and switching over to the federal exchange and HealthCare.gov -- but the question is, how quickly they can do it. “We need to move forward and do the best thing for the people of Oregon,” Republican State Sen. Tim Knopp said, “and I think that’s ending Cover Oregon as

From the crisis in Ferguson, Mo., to the cultural impact of Robin Williams´ and Joan Rivers´ sudden deaths and all the way up to recent round-the-clock coverage of U.S. strikes on ISIS, cable news has been heavily occupied. The last three months have been so big, Fox News Channel just clocked its first quarter with the most-watched primetime across all of cable in more than a decade — even besting USA and ESPN. The average 1.79 million viewers between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., Monday through Friday, gave FNC its first quarter atop the dial since the Iraq War broke out in 2003. Expanding that block by an hour,

A man with a gun that the Secret Service did not know about rode in an elevator with President Obama during his visit to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta on Sept. 16. The previously undisclosed breach, confirmed by two sources familiar with the case, raises new questions about the agency´s ability to protect the president. The incident, which took place three days before an intruder jumped a fence and sprinted inside the White House, involved a failure in Secret Service advance work to prevent an armed man from coming into close proximity with Obama while he was visiting the CDC to receive a

Washington - The Obama Administration announced Tuesday that it will pick up the bill for immigration attorneys who will be assigned to unaccompanied children from Central America and elsewhere who are stopped at the U.s. border. Dallas and Houston are two of a handful of cities where the money will be spent, a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said in a phone call to The News Tuesday. The program starts today and will be funded with $9 million between now and the end of the next fiscal year. In all, the funds are estimated to be enough to pay for lawyers for more than 2,600 children.

In her just-released memoir, 27 year-old "Girls" star Lena Dunham claims that as a 19 year-old Oberlin College student in Ohio, she was raped by a college Republican. In the first chapter that addresses the encounter, Dunham describes the "ill-fated evening of lovemaking" as awkward and hollow. The most sensational moment comes from the fact that "Barry" wasn´t wearing a condom. In the next chapter, Dunham backtracks with the claim that she´s an "unreliable narrator" and accuses "Barry" of rape: [I]n another essay in this book I describe a sexual encounter with a mustachioed campus Republican as the upsetting but

A recently retired Secret Service agent told MailOnline on Thursday that former director Julia Pierson´s resignation will be welcomed by the agency´s rank-and-file because ´people in the service thought she was a joke from Day One.´ He attributed her swift fall from grace to a cadre of ´p***ed off agents who had had enough´ of feeling disrespected by the service´s first female director. ´Putting her in charge was part of the [Obama] administration´s push to feminize the service after the "hookergate" nightmare,´ the agent said, referring to agents who were fired after patronizing prostitutes during a security-check trip to Colombia

Deadly, irrational, and determined, the intruder snuck across a weakened perimeter. Eluding capture, the intruder was detained only after missteps and close calls. The spin began soon after the threat was isolated. Information was selectively leaked. Half-truths and untruths were uttered. Responsibility was avoided; privileges and credentials asserted; authority reasserted. Trust us. Remain calm. Don’t panic. This is the template of recent events. A mental case jumps the White House fence. He makes it to the East Room before he’s tackled by an off-duty Secret Service agent. Initial statements turn out to be misleading or false. It’s the “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” A New York appeals court next week will consider whether chimps should have the same rights as human beings. The extraordinary proceeding is the result of a lengthy battle by animal-rights activists who argue that animals with human qualities — including chimps — are entitled to human protections, including freedom from captivity. Steven Wise, part of the Nonhuman Rights Project, which is leading the effort, will have to convince a panel of Albany appellate judges that a chimp name Tommy is a “legal person” to get him moved from a cage

President Obama was at Northwestern University on Thursday to deliver an economic speech that, he and his team hoped, would lay out the case for why the public is better off today than they were six years ago -- even if they didn´t feel it in their everday lives. Instead, Obama just gave every Republican ad-maker in the country more fodder for negative ads linking Democratic candidates to him. Here are the four sentences that will draw all of the attention (they come more than two thirds of the way through the speech): "I am not on the ballot this

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. It is the stuff that nightmares are made of, and day by day it is getting worse. The Ebola epidemic, says Dr Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), is now “the greatest peacetime challenge” since the Second World War. Yet her own organisation’s tardiness, partly caused by cuts, together with reductions in--and misuse of--funds elsewhere, are largely responsible for Ebola spiralling out of control. [Snip] It’s just the beginning. At present the numbers of people infected are thought to be doubling in under 30 days--and the blue-chip US Center for Disease Control and Prevention predicts that, if Ebola

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

ATLANTA — Texas, America’s second-most populous state behind California, saw 13 of its last abortion clinics turn away women on Friday, after a federal appeals court upheld a law that practically guarantees that only a handful of clinics will remain open in the state. The strictest-of-its-kind Texas law requires abortion providers to build hospital-grade facilities and obtain sometimes impossible-to-get hospital admitting privileges. After signed into law last year by Gov. Rick Perry (R), the law forced most of the 41 clinics operating to close. Thursday’s ruling wiped out a brief victory this summer for abortion rights proponents,

What on earth is an ohbee-guynee? Apparently it is a weird Obamaspeak pronunciation of OB/GYN (pronounced oh-bee-gee-why-en). For the president’s benefit, let me specify that means a doctor who delivers babies and takes care of the lady parts. When President Obama announced the departure of Eric Holder from his position as attorney general, he also mentioned his “good friend,” the AG’s wife, Dr. Sharon Malone, and he called her an “ohbee-guynee.” (snip) it almost seems as though someone raised in a fantasized USSR training camp for deep cover agents was inserted into the identity of Barack Obama and loosed upon

Go to a grocery store in California and buy all the milk, eggs and vegetables you want. But there’s one thing you won’t find at the checkout line, beginning July 1, 2015: Plastic bags to carry your stuff home. Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday signed into law a ban on single-use plastic bags, making California the first state to prohibit stores from using the ubiquitous carry-alls. Shoppers will be charged 10 cents for every paper bag and heavy-duty plastic bag they use. “This bill is a step in the right direction,” Brown said in a press release announcing his approval. “It
