Local Winooski, Vermont restaurant Sneakers Bistro has removed a sign that read, “Yield Sneakers Bacon” citing opposition from a Muslim community member and safety concerns. The sign was put up as part of a city program that allows businesses to post an advertisement in an area where they have helped maintain city flowerbeds. The sign that read “Yield Sneakers Bacon” was removed after a woman, identifying herself as a Muslim, posted in an online community forum, stating she was personally offended by the sign, according to a WPTZ News report. Just as some wear garlic around their neck to ward off vampires, I was considering doing the same with bacon to repel muzzies, but then I would just eat it up. Darn.

Muslims try to impose their beliefs in increments.
Jews don´t eat pork either - did you ever hear of a Jew telling a restauranteur not to advertise or serve pork?
They assimilated- Muslims seek to colonize and control with Sharia Law in increments and raise "safety concerns" .
No appeasement- no incremental Enforcement of Sharia Law.

A sign? A sign?
A muslim is offended by a SIGN with "bacon" on it.
That person does not have to eat, touch, or even smell the bacon--but is offended? No, but the muslim is offended by what it sees.
Well I am offended by seeing muslims on the streets of the USA. And I am offended by Americans catering to muslims, as though theirs was a religion instead of a death cult heresy.

The sign isn’t what offends her – America and everything about it is what offends her.

I am a US expat who lives in Cyprus. The TV we have here comes via NileSAT and as such includes American, British, and Australian shows with Arabic subtitles. In all of the shows (especially the cooking shows) the words "bacon", "pork", and "Jew" (and also "gay" - they do show Modern Family) are bleeped out of the English version and I imagine are not translated at all into Arabic. Apparently even hearing these words is offensive to Muslims. Yet it is ok to show them cooking pork or bacon - go figure. And how odd is it that they air a show that includes a gay couple but they delete the word "gay"?

Oh, BTW, I am offended by tomatoes, lima beans, and liver. I demand that these items immediately be removed from my sight in any place I may ever go.

Sickening. This once vibrant nation is turning into a vanilla nightmare... a tyranny of the minorities. So sad, especially for the young who´ll never know and never even know what they should fight for...

We must all push back against this trend in small and large, organized and ad hoc ways at every opportunity. For every offended Muslim customer at this restaurant, there are dozens of quietly acquiescing others steadily losing their liberties.

Still another reason for my wife and I to vote with our feet. We plan to escape from "California-East" before the end of the year. We are Military transplants, but I have met many native Vermonter retirees who just can´t afford to live here any more. They have become fed up with the taxes, wasteful spending, restrictions, and overall PC environment. Not to mention an Obamacare clone developed by the same contractor, that doesn´t work any better than the Federal program!

The store-owner is afraid of Muslims and how they treat infidels. He made a calculated decision to bow to them, unlike the owners of Hobby-Lobby, Chick-Fil-A and other businesses who were hounded by the various special interest grievance groups.

Notice that Jews never object to bacon, pork or shellfish in public? Those foods are forbidden in the Old Testament and are not supposed to be eaten by those who keep Kosher.

Is America sick yet of Muslims´ demands that we practice their religion?

Not due to political correctness--only fear. We rolled over in the 60´s in fear of riots like Ferguson. Now, we fear the muzzies and their responses. Bombs and beheadings tend to do that. Liberals don´t believe in setting limits on behavior.

So the Kentucky Senate race, as Fixer Aaron Blake noted on Twitter, appears to have devolved into a contest over who is holding a gun and how. In his latest salvo, however, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) has pretty convincingly won the debate. You may recall/do recall/should recall that on Monday, his opponent Alison Lundergan Grimes (D) suggested that McConnell wasn´t a real Kentuckian because he once held an antique rifle in the air. Army Gen. Although the advisers have been assigned primarily to assist with planning and coordination, Dempsey for the first time suggested that they eventually could go into the field on combat missions.

Wallace’s comment came as she and her co-hosts were discussing conservative commentator’s Charles Krauthammer recent remark that Obama is a “narcissist.” Wallace noted that as a former psychiatrist, Krauthammer was “offering a semi-expert opinion” on Obama and compared the president to Vice President Joe Biden who’s widely regarded as a people person. "I think Joe Biden has an easier time with Congress

HOUSTON, Texas- The organizer of this weekend’s planned protest to shut down international ports of entry have a message to militia groups – You are not welcome. This statement came in response to a Breitbart Texas article about police agency preparations for the protest planned for the weekend. In an interview with Breitbart Texas, Staysi Barth, organizer of “Shut Down All Ports of Entry”, said militia groups are not welcome at the national event planned for this weekend across the southern border of the United States. “Only peaceful protesters are coming,” Barth said. After fighting with the problem of the

New judge Julianne Hough proclaimed the Duck Dynasty reality star as the total package, and for Sadie, a huge fan of Hough, it was a dream come true. "Oh my gosh, it was huge," she told us. Sadie received a 34—two 8s and two 9s—from the judging panel of Hough, Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, one of the highest scores. "It was so much fun," she said. "I really let loose and had fun with it. I loved it." Sadie placed second in total scores behind

Last month, Max Shireson gave up his job running a billion-dollar startup to spend more time with his family. And he couldn’t be happier. Schireson’s departure from Internet database company MongoDB Inc., which he announced in a blog post that quickly went viral, became a catalyst for a discussion that rarely takes place in the national media: the challenges faced by fathers as they attempt to balance work and family. I was thrilled by that. As a scholar, advocate and consultant in the area, Schireson’s story resonated with me. And the more we acknowledge the importance these issues, the better

“Too Big To Fail” has never been applied to a besieged nation torn apart by sectarian factions, but let’s try it here: Afghanistan’s government recently asked the US for a $537 million bailout to pay its bills, and they’d like it within the next “five to six” days. “We hope they will pay for us, and we are asking at once,” Alhaj M. Aqa, the director general of the treasury at the Ministry of Finance, told The Washington Post. “They are asking me when I need it, and I told them this week or we will have a problem.” Thanks

House Republicans emerged from a Tuesday morning conference meeting predicting a proposal to arm Syrian rebels to fight the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) will pass — but only if Democrats provide significant support. House Armed Services Committee Chairman Buck McKeon (R-Calif.) said he wasn’t sure his amendment granting President Obama’s request for congressional authority would be backed by a majority of Republican lawmakers, many of whom expressed deep reservations about the plan. And Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.), a member close to Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), predicted that Democrats would have to supply a significant number of votes

John McCain’s slip of the tongue won’t help him quell Internet accusations that he once met and took pictures with members of the terrorist group the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).Appearing on Fox News’ “Hannity” Monday night, the Arizona Republican senator went off on Rand Paul after host Sean Hannity brought up the Kentucky Republican senator’s concern that providing weapons to Syrian rebels will only end up benefiting ISIS. “Has Rand Paul ever been to Syria? Has he ever met with ISIS?” McCain fumed, certainly meaning to say the Free Syrian Army instead of ISIS. McCain has long

"If we reach the point where I believe our advisers should accompany Iraqi troops on attacks against specific ISIL targets, I´ll recommend that to the president," Joint Chiefs Chairman Martin Dempsey told the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday. Asked to clarify, Dempsey said that all U.S. troops are trained to be combat-capable, but "that´s different than how we use them." "And in the case of our contributions in Iraq right now, the airmen... are very much in a combat role. The folks on the ground are very much in a combat advisory role. Among the many metrics that show Obama´s home state is struggling to break the Great Recession, a new report shows that applications for food stamps in Illinois is greater than its creation of jobs. Illinois has had the worst recovery from the recession of any state in the country, the Illinois Policy Institute reported this month: "There are nearly 300,000 fewer Illinoisans working today than in January 2008, and 170,000 fewer payroll jobs. " "For every post-recession job created in Illinois, nearly two people have enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps," the Institute

Former President George W. Bush put together a 48 member coalition for the Iraq War in 2003. 40 of those members supported military operations and 37 provided some number troops. In April 2003, the list was updated to include 49 countries, though it was reduced to 48 after Costa Rica objected to its inclusion. Of the 48 states on the list, three contributed troops to the invasion force (the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland). An additional 37 countries provided some number of troops to support military operations after the invasion was complete. Despite these numbers the liberal media continues to push the lie

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said comparing Republican treatment of President Obama to how Democrats handled President George W. Bush is a false equivalence and that Democrats don’t bear culpability for the comparatively fewer number of bills being passed by Congress and signed into law. “Let me just say that any of this equivalence, both sides, this or that, no — we never treated President Bush the way they treat President Obama,” she said Monday on MSNBC. “It’s no use whining about it; we just have to get people out to vote” and make people aware there’s an election this

The Department of Labor coordinated with the White House on whether or not to release hidden portions of former Labor Secretary Hilda Solis’ schedule as Solis battled an FBI investigation into her illegal fundraising for President Obama. New emails provided to The Daily Caller from the nonprofit legal research firm Cause of Action show the White House thanking the Department of Labor for “flagging” a public information request for “withheld” portions of Solis’ schedule. The White House then asked for the name of the conservative group making the request — information that Labor officials were eager to give up. As TheDC previously

The Obama administration is preparing to introduce major steps to phase out production of a popular chemical coolant used in refrigerators and air conditioners, citing growing evidence that the substance is contributing to the warming of the planet. The White House will announce on Tuesday a series of voluntary commitments by some of the country’s largest chemical firms and retailers to move rapidly away from R-134a and similar compounds used in nearly every office, home and automobile in the country, according to current and former U.S. officials familiar with the effort. There’s a lot of competition for Barack Obama’s biggest lie. The man who could assure the American public with a straight face over thirty times that they could keep their doctor under his health plan, when he knew that to be completely false, is one hellluva fibber. But execrable as that serial prevarication may have been, it doesn’t hold a proverbial candle to his most recent whopper — that the Islamic State is not Islamic — not to mention its corollary, or perhaps subsidiary lie, that real religions do not indulge in murder. Islam has been doing that pretty much straight

Is a mutiny happening around President Obama? It appears possible that the president may not have made two of his most recent decisions with complete free will. The announcement that he would delay his immigration initiative until after the election and his formal announcement that the United States would take military action against the Islamic State could have been coerced. Maybe Democratic leaders in Congress and a few members of the Obama team have had it. Could it be that, after President Obama briefed Democrats in Congress on the immigration plan, they balked? Maybe the president was told that, if he

In an interview for Meet the Press´s "Press Pass" segment, Ryan and new host Chuck Todd might have been mistaken for being on a "No Labels" panel discussion as they both lamented how politicians are rewarded in "advocacy media outlets" for bold rhetoric and standing firm in their positions. Todd lamented that "members of both parties" often "get standing ovations for the rhetoric," to which Ryan replied, "I don´t
