Why comedians and ‘SNL’ are
shielding President Obama

At last, we know the reason why comedy writers don’t make fun of President Obama much. It turns out the man is completely unmockable. We learn this from Jim Downey, the longtime “Saturday Night Live” specialist in political japery. “If I had to describe Obama as a comedy project, I would say, ‘Degree of difficulty, 10 point 10,’” the writer says in the expanded new edition of the “SNL” oral history book, “Live from New York.” “It’s like being a rock climber looking up at a thousand-foot-high face of solid obsidian, polished and oiled,” Downey says. “There’s not a single thing to grab

The real, and unspoken elephant in the room, is fear, plain and simple. It´s not just that SNL agrees with him, it´s that they´re afraid of being called racists. The boy, the Mooche, holder, and the veep provide a wealth of unintentional comedy, and along with the sycophantic Marxist make believe media, it writes itself. JMHO.

Oh, please, these comics are making excuses. The real reason they are not mocking Obama is because most of them are of the liberal persuasion and don´t want to offend a friend. Comics have also been dumbed down by political correctness and are thus afraid of pointing to the incompetence of a man who´s black in case it´s perceived to be racist.

All in all, it´s a form of protection racket.

Self-described comedy guru and egocentric chuckle-crafter Jim Downey obviously suffers from a terminal case of Can’t-See-Forest-For-Trees Syndrome.

Obama inspires and delivers a barrel of laughs if only one knows how to uncork it. Downey doesn’t.

Yeah, we noticed.

The GOP should take heart, though - Abe Lincoln was relentlessly portrayed as an ape, clumsy, and ugly or worse. Yet, Democrats would just love to have a former President who could measure up in history. Oh, yeah, the GOP also had Teddy Roosevelt. Millions of children grew up with a favorite "Teddy bear". There is no FDR or JFK or Woodrow Wilson favorite toy.

Not a single hook or thing to grab onto?

There´s no way to lampoon his whistling, stammering, tennis match-viewer speaking style? Couldn´t possibly get laughs from his chicken strut and Il Duce chin poses?

It wouldn´t be funny for a good Obama imitator to do vacationing Barry chasing an ice cream cone with his tongue while watching a cute guy walk by?

A tag team of Michelle, Valerie Jarrett, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Maxine Waters, and Frederica Wilson taking turns nagging Barry with different complaints wouldn´t be funny?

A skit of hacker Barry on the golf course being interrupted by phone calls from the Pentagon, State Department, the IRS, Justice, the Federal Reserve and watching him duck responsibility couldn´t possibly be done and get laughs?

Maybe SNL needs better writers than the traditional Al Franken type.

Actually, SNL grad Jimmy Call n has been picking some low-hanging comedy fruit at Obama´s expense. Mostly superficial stuff, but it has been biting occasionally. Meanwhile, Fallon has been doing what he can to make Hillary look good.

SNL will not mock Dems until after the 2014 mid-term election, at which point they will actually poke fun of Obama in ways to make Hillary seem like the real grown-up in his administration. You will finally see Obama being attacked personally, rather than superficially, so as to make Hillary seem presidential and above the fray. You´ll probably seem skits with Obama and Republican contenders (Rick Perry, Marco Rubio, Ron Paul, Paul Ryan, and they´ll even throw Sarah Palin again) so that they can mock and weaken their candidacies.

Above all, the goal is to carry the Left´s water through another presidential election.

Artistic integrity (a phrase that should never appear in the same sentence with “Saturday Night Live”) has absolutely nothing to do with it.

SNL is owned by NBCUniversal Television, which is a division of NBCUniversal Inc. Another division of NBCUniversal Inc. is NBC News. The others include three Telemundo channels, CNBC, MSNBC, NBC.com, NBCNews.com, and the fine-arts-turned-all-LGBT-all-the-time channel Bravo.

If you want to see the resident puppet mocked and satirized, pray that Charles and David Koch buy NBCUnlversal Inc. and replace 100% of the SNL “talent” – both on-camera and –off -- with any 50 randomly selected LDotters.

On ‘60 Minutes,’ the president faulted his spies for failing to predict the rise of ISIS. There’s one problem with that statement: The intelligence analysts did warn about the group. Nearly eight months ago, some of President Obama’s senior intelligence officials were already warning that ISIS was on the move. In the beginning of 2014, ISIS fighters had defeated Iraqi forces in Fallujah, leading much of the U.S. intelligence community to assess they would try to take more of Iraq. To understand why revitalizing Detroit will be difficult, consider the response to the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department’s (DWSD) recent plan to make overdue customers pay their bills. The DWSD serves more than 4 million customers across the Detroit region. The suburbs mostly buy water from the DWSD wholesale, so it’s mainly city residents and businesses who get billed directly, and over half of them—about 90,000 customers—haven’t paid up. Total past-due bills add up to nearly $90 million, with the average delinquent residential customer owing $540, or more than 7 months’ worth of service, based on an average bill of

For President Obama, the color of a man’s skin is far more important than the content of his character. On the night when a police officer was shot in a Missouri town torn by racial strife, the president donned a shiny tuxedo to attend a ritzy black awards dinner, where he said police nationwide are to blame for community mistrust, even claiming that “most Americans” think the country is racist. Remember, when Ferguson exploded in racial rage in August, Mr. Obama chose not to curtail his 15-day vacation, spending day after day on the golf course in the white-skinned, white-wined, millionaire playground

Media programmers, especially at ad-poor online streaming outlets, run the spots continuously. Washington -- As Democratic Sen. But this is Louisiana, and the election system can be complicated. There are nine candidates -- Republicans, Democrats, and a Libertarian -- on the ballot this November, and if no candidate crosses the 50% threshold, the race moves into a December runoff between the top two contenders. Landrieu currently falls well below the 50% mark at 43% support among likely voters. Republican Rep. Bill

Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace asked neurosurgeon and GOP novelty Ben Carson, who is very vocally teasing a presidential run, if his inexperience disqualified him from the office, especially given the results of Obama’s alleged inexperience. “After looking at Barack Obama and what’s happened with his lack of political experience over the last six years, wouldn’t putting Ben Carson in the Oval Office be akin to putting a politician in an operating room and having him perform one of your brain surgeries?” Wallace asked. Shockingly, Carson said no. “I think what is required for leadership is wisdom and the

President Obama said the shooting death of a black teen by a white police officer last month in Ferguson, Missouri, exposed the racial divide in the American justice system that “stains the heart of black children.” Speaking at the annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation dinner in Washington on Saturday night, Mr. Obama said the death of Michael Brown “awakened our nation” to a reality that black citizens already understood. “In too many communities around the country, a gulf of mistrust exists between local residents and law enforcement,” Mr. Obama said. “Too many young men of color feel targeted by law

The L.A. Times is warning that the “worst is yet to come” if a grand jury fails to indict white officer Darren Wilson for shooting and killing black 18-year-old Michael Brown. If the grand jury fails to indict the officer who killed Michael Brown, almost everyone here thinks things will get worse. “They’re not going to be looting next time,” said Kevin Seltzer, 30, who lives at an apartment complex near where Brown, 18, was shot. “They’re going to burn the city down.” The article highlights recent indications that the city is “far from finding peace,” including continued clashes with officers, the shooting

The U.S. had expected the Iraqi army to do more against extremists, president says in acknowledgment of intelligence shortcomings. President Obama acknowledged that the U.S. underestimated the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS, also called ISIL) and overestimated the ability of the Iraqi military to fend off the militant group in an interview that will air Sunday on 60 Minutes. The president was asked by 60 Minutes correspondent Steve Kroft about comments from Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who has said the U.S. not only underestimated ISIS, it also overestimated the ability and will of the

WASHINGTON — The Senate’s minority whip is confident about Republicans being the majority in the 114th Congress — if conservatives can set aside differences and work to combat the massive influx of donor cash that has Democratic campaigns ahead in the money race. Only in the majority, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) stresses, can conservatives make headway on tamping down overregulation, repealing and replacing Obamacare, securing the “chaotic” border, getting Keystone XL moving, and bringing civilized debate back to the upper chamber. And only by realizing the gravity of the battle for November, he argues, can Republicans relegate Harry Reid (D-Nev.)

The Secret Service was unaware for four days that a man had fired a high-powered rifle at the White House in 2011 in a ´fumbled´ response that left the Obamas furious, says a new report. Officers allegedly performed a string of security lapses after Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez shot at least seven bullets at the executive mansion in Washington from his car. At the time, President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and their older daughter Malia were not at home, but their younger daughter Sasha and Mrs Obama´s mother, Marian Robinson, were inside. It comes as the Secret Service is facing more questions over

The Justice Department is expected to ban profiling by federal law enforcement. Counter-terror investigators would be barred from undercover operations in mosques or other religious institutions unless there is reason to believe criminal activity is going on there, under a new policy expected within weeks. The new rules would ban profiling based on religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation and includes no exemption for national security investigations, the Los Angeles Times reports. The announcement of the new policy to crack down on law enforcement profiling was delayed for several months because of White House

President Obama firmly believes the United States is better off now than when he took office, even though the American people cannot “feel” it. During an interview with 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft, Obama said, “the country is definitely better off than when I came into office.” “When I came into office, our economy was in crisis,” Obama said. The president then cited lower unemployment, private sector job growth, and deficit cuts as evidence of his administration’s success. “I can put my record against any leader around the world in terms of digging ourselves out of a terrible, almost unprecedented financial crisis,” Obama said. A Canadian member of the loathed Islamic State claimed the group is plotting an attack on New York City — and will one day fly its flag over the White House. Days before Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi warned of terrorist plots on subways in New York City and Paris, a video emerged showing an ISIS shill named Farah Shirdon widening the scope of the threat. “God willing, we will make some attacks in New York soon,” he said in a video interview with Vice News last week. “A lot of brothers are mobilizing there right now.” He vowed that U.S.-based fighters are “mobilizing for a brilliant attack.”

Democrats think conservatives in general, and Tea Partiers in particular, are stupid. Here’s how to reinforce that belief: Sit out the 2014 congressional elections because your favorite candidate lost his primary bid to an establishment Republican. If you live in Kansas, for example, you can suck your thumb while Democrat ringer Greg Orman beats Republican Senator Pat Roberts. If you’re a Kentucky conservative, you can stay home and b***h about Mitch while Alison “Rubberstamp” Grimes heads to Washington. If you’re in Mississippi, you can stay mad at Thad and allow Travis “no repeal” Childers to win. That’ll show those RINOs! It
