The Golf Address

FORE! Score? And seven trillion rounds ago, our forecaddies brought forth on this continent a new playground, conceived by Robert Trent Jones, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal when it comes to spending as much time on the links as possible — even when it seems totally inappropriate, like moments after making a solemn statement condemning the grisly murder of a 40-year-old American journalist beheaded by ISIL. I know reporters didn’t get a chance to ask questions, but I had to bounce. I had a 1 p.m. tee time at Vineyard Golf Club with Alonzo

Read the comments and be completely discouraged about the intelligence of the voters of this country. They seem to think that being president means working a 35-hour work week, or less. He needs his vacation even when the country and the world are in the middle of a collapse all around him. He´s tired, poor little boy.

Let´s be clear, Maureen. You know your precious Lightbringer, who you´ve been so exquisitely moist in the nether regions about, has been an embarrassment from day 1 when he botched his oath of office in 2009. A real, undeniable, historic embarrassment. You´ve wanted him to occupy the Oval Office not in spite of the embarrassment but specifically because of it: Lightbringer´s hotpink-neon unqualifications for the presidency make America look bad - which is the entire point for you "progressives": getting your revenge at the big, bad USA. So now, after years of intentionally lying about the Hopenchange Charades, you claim he´s making you blush over some golf? Really?

We´d only like to know how much did you-know-who´s campaign commission you for this piece? or is the entire NYT now on board to make sure a certain Smart Woman will use her time baking cookies instead of putting bogies?

As they say about all the others who are slowly opening their eyes, better late than never. This column will surely get the notice of the White House. It has just the right amount of irreverence combined with some near-racist overtones. Somebody will read it to the Fraud-in-Chief and he will be properly miffed.

But none of it is all that attention-getting any longer. Ear Leader is certifiably insane, with multiple mental malfunctions. His bizarre behavior would be nothing more than an interesting case study if he didn´t have his black fingers all over the nuclear football.

Agree #6. The liberal bitter clingers cannot let go of the myth that Obama was to them. The visual of Obama pretending to be brokenhearted about anyone´s tragedy besides his own petty whining then heading immediately to the golf course yucking it up on camera with his butt kissing toadies goes down in history as the sum total of his so-called Presidency.

We should also take a moment to recognize the members of the US military who pay for Obama and his buddies who take free rounds on military courses that are run on non appropriated funds which come from service welfare and recreation funds that come military exchange profits. Every dollar spend on Obama ´s golfing is one less dollar spent on troop recreation . Also when Barry and his pals play on a military course our servicemembers are denied access to the course.

If he got his mind right tomorrow, she´d be back on her calloused knees again.

That said, this is good, but had she been less funny and a tad more serious about him, it could have been a great piece.

Now we are engaged in a great civil divide in Ferguson, which does not even have a golf course, and that’s why I had a “logistical” issue with going there. We are testing whether that community, or any community so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure when the nation’s leader wants nothing more than to sink a birdie putt.

It´s pretty clear now that even liberals are on to O´s careless presidency and worse, to his pathetic persona. They are getting wise to the fact that the country is in a bad place, existentially, than it´s ever been, even during the Great Depression or the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Clever as MoDo´s piece is, she spared him the grief he deserves for placing America in the degraded ranks of being just one country among many, no different, no better. That was his goal and now it is realized. He can play golf with a clear...

....schedule.

Nicely done, Ms. MoDo! St. Thomas More said: “The devil … that proud spirit … cannot endure to be mocked.” And the same goes for the devil´s servant Obama. Maureen is about five and a half years too late, but better now than never. This pathetic character (who could take Mickey Mouse´s place on the watch face) ought to be mocked clear off the earth´s surface.

FTA: We are testing whether that community, or any community so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure when the nation’s leader wants nothing more than to sink a birdie putt.

With that powerless powder-puff uncoordinated move--he has two left hands and two left feet--Obama doesn´t have to worry too much about making any birdies. He hasn´t any athletic ability at all. (Or any other type of obvious ability, for that matter.) You´d have thought that any son of Frank Marshall Davis would have inherited the ability to hit a small white ball, dribble and shoot a larger orange ball, or shove a convenience store manager right over a rack of Jack Links Beef Jerky sticks, but alas....

FWIW There may be no golf courses in Ferguson but some venerable clubs are as good as next door. Normandie Golf Course claims to be the oldest course west of the Mississippi, designed by a Scottish emigre who honed his craft under Young Tom Morris. With Ferguson to one side and the pitiable and deadly Wellston to the other, one of my favorite area courses has not seen my company in some years. Nor will it soon, very sad for me.

Instead they chose to project their own hope, change and liberal white guilt upon this clown. So now six years later they´re having in turn their own belated epiphanies. And giving us these intellectual games and clever columns as some kind of mea culpa and penance??? They make me sick.

Maureen, you and your dangerously duped lefty buddies in the news media need to each in turn tell us plainly, ´´I screwed up, big time. I am sorry a was a significant factor in installing this empty charlatan in the WH. How could I have been so blind and stupid.´´

Deadly, irrational, and determined, the intruder snuck across a weakened perimeter. Eluding capture, the intruder was detained only after missteps and close calls. The spin began soon after the threat was isolated. Information was selectively leaked. Half-truths and untruths were uttered. Responsibility was avoided; privileges and credentials asserted; authority reasserted. Trust us. Remain calm. Don’t panic. This is the template of recent events. A mental case jumps the White House fence. He makes it to the East Room before he’s tackled by an off-duty Secret Service agent. Initial statements turn out to be misleading or false. We discover that lapses in

It’s the “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” A New York appeals court next week will consider whether chimps should have the same rights as human beings. The extraordinary proceeding is the result of a lengthy battle by animal-rights activists who argue that animals with human qualities — including chimps — are entitled to human protections, including freedom from captivity. Steven Wise, part of the Nonhuman Rights Project, which is leading the effort, will have to convince a panel of Albany appellate judges that a chimp name Tommy is a “legal person” to get him moved from a cage

President Obama was at Northwestern University on Thursday to deliver an economic speech that, he and his team hoped, would lay out the case for why the public is better off today than they were six years ago -- even if they didn´t feel it in their everday lives. Instead, Obama just gave every Republican ad-maker in the country more fodder for negative ads linking Democratic candidates to him. Here are the four sentences that will draw all of the attention (they come more than two thirds of the way through the speech): "I am not on the ballot this

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. We’ve got a lot of people looking at the race,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.” That response, which

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. I hated

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

Top White House officials on Friday worked to reassure the American public that the national response to Ebola is under control. Leaders of the country’s health, defense and military branches stressed that they are taking the right steps to contain the spread of the deadly virus, which was first diagnosed in the U.S. on Tuesday. It is the stuff that nightmares are made of, and day by day it is getting worse. The Ebola epidemic, says Dr Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), is now “the greatest peacetime challenge” since the Second World War. Yet her own organisation’s tardiness, partly caused by cuts, together with reductions in--and misuse of--funds elsewhere, are largely responsible for Ebola spiralling out of control. [Snip] It’s just the beginning. At present the numbers of people infected are thought to be doubling in under 30 days--and the blue-chip US Center for Disease Control and Prevention predicts that, if Ebola

ATLANTA — Texas, America’s second-most populous state behind California, saw 13 of its last abortion clinics turn away women on Friday, after a federal appeals court upheld a law that practically guarantees that only a handful of clinics will remain open in the state. The strictest-of-its-kind Texas law requires abortion providers to build hospital-grade facilities and obtain sometimes impossible-to-get hospital admitting privileges. After signed into law last year by Gov. Rick Perry (R), the law forced most of the 41 clinics operating to close. Thursday’s ruling wiped out a brief victory this summer for abortion rights proponents,

Go to a grocery store in California and buy all the milk, eggs and vegetables you want. But there’s one thing you won’t find at the checkout line, beginning July 1, 2015: Plastic bags to carry your stuff home. Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday signed into law a ban on single-use plastic bags, making California the first state to prohibit stores from using the ubiquitous carry-alls. Shoppers will be charged 10 cents for every paper bag and heavy-duty plastic bag they use. “This bill is a step in the right direction,” Brown said in a press release announcing his approval. “It
