Obama wants Export-Import Bank renewed
Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

Original Article

President Obama´s weekly remarks Hi, everybody. Nearly six years after the worst financial crisis of our lifetimes, our businesses have added nearly 10 million new jobs over the past 53 months. [Snip] We should be doing everything we can to accelerate this progress, not stall it. One place to start is by supporting something called the U.S. Export-Import Bank. Its sole mission is to create American jobs. That’s it. It helps many American entrepreneurs take that next step and take their small business global. But next month, its charter will expire — unless Members of Congress do their job.

Perhaps he would be more credible if he were to address Congress like a president rather than offering a squishy, whiny...´If Congress would just do their job blah blah blah´.

McCarthy said he won´t. That was one of his first statements as Majority Leader in the House. The small business talk is nonsense. It helps Boeing and Caterpillar. It´s not necessary for taxpayers to potentially be on the hook for loans to companies like this. That´s why we have real banks. Pound sand on the golf course Obama.

The House should say, "Reid, take action of the 340 bills you are sitting on and we will think about it."

After thee past few years I have come to the place where if Obama is for it then I have to be against it. He has done everything possible to make this country weaker in every area possible. Why should I support one more wonky idea he has. It is past time to take care of this country first and let the chips fall where they may. We should not be propping up big businesses....if they can´t make it close down!

His idea of Export-Import is more like importing immigrants and exporting our tax dollars.

Rep. Larry Bucshon gives the Republican Party´s Weekly Remarks Hello, I’m Dr. Larry Bucshon, proudly serving Indiana’s Eighth Congressional District. I’m honored to be speaking with you from the Heartland of America on this weekend when we tip our hat to the working man and woman. America’s workers make our country go, so our goal should be to make our economy work for them. But traveling around Indiana this week, going from job fairs to listening sessions to small businesses, it was easy to see how our workers are still hurting.

President Obama gave the most amazing news conference Thursday. He´d hoped to highlight mildly encouraging news on the economy, which he says is Americans´ top priority. But Obama´s current JV communications strategists should have known that was futile, given the winds of war blowing and exploding around the world. Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, ISIS, China all underscoring the perceived weakness and inaction of the American leader who so badly wants his mere words to sway events. Obama says the Muslim extremists, whose barbarism brings a whole new meaning to the word 'extremists," do not belong in the 21st century.

President Obama is enduring an awful summer of domestic troubles, foreign tragedies and a lost national narrative that´s put him on the defensive. He´ll try to recapture control of the country´s political dialogue next month by igniting an emotional controversy over legalizing illegal aliens. But Tuesday the Democrat was in Charlotte to describe to American Legion members an exotic foreign land where November voters should be delighted to keep his party members in office. [Snip] We’ve gathered some excerpts with our comments in italics to provide a flavor of the alien land this president sees through his bullet-proof windows.

The Monday phone conversations likely went something like this: Obama official: "Hey, how ya doing? Going away for the holiday?" Washington reporter: "Nah, my wife´s roped me into something with her family. What´s up?" OAO: "I have something that might interest your readers. Usual background rules?" WR: "OK, yeh. What?" OAO: "The president has authorized surveillance flights over Syria for the first time." In a short period of time the similarly-leaked stories began appearing on multiple websites with similar headlines U.S. Military Prepares for Surveillance Flights Over Syria. One of the more useless fall-outs of the Obama Era -- in addition to him fomenting the cancerous distrust of vital national institutions and offices -- is the trumped-up call for national debates and discussions about virtually anything controversial. [Snip] The latest national debate concerns the so-called militarization of local police forces, growing out of the intense media scrutiny of one local department in Ferguson, Missouri. Well, we´re here to make it a debate. It´s a great idea to have state and local police departments armed way beyond the firepower of any conceivable opponent.

Remember the aftermath of 9/11 when investigators made the chilling discovery that American flight instructors had unwittingly taught the Arab hijackers how to fly jumbo jets like the ones they plowed into the World Trade Center and Pentagon, killing some 3,000 innocents? Turns out, President Reagan worried about terrorist hijackers using airplanes as weapons way back in 1983. He banned Libyans from taking flight lessons or nuclear studies in the United States. Now, believe it or not, President Obama is lifting that ban because, aides say, post-Gaddafi Libya and its relations with the United States are "normalized."

Luring Hillary Clinton into his Cabinet as secretary of State for the entire first term was one of those rare political deals that both sides won. Clinton got an executive position and foreign affairs exposure, which her resume sorely lacked. And Obama plopped his bitter Democrat primary rival into a non-political spot where she couldn´t publicly second-guess him or his administration. But that was then. This is now.

When President George W. Bush ordered a U.S. troop surge into Iraq in 2007, Sen. B. Obama was adamantly opposed. In fact, he said the surge would only worsen sectarian strife. From the first gleam in his eye of an Oval Office, Obama ran against any war in Iraq. [Snip] Obama is, of course, infamous for his convenient memory and prediction capabilities. Megyn Kelly was incredibly bewildered Thursday night at President Obama‘s comment about having no concrete Syria strategy yet. Ed Henry was very blunt in telling Kelly that this is an unqualified “disaster” for the White House. Henry admitted he was “stunned” that none of his colleagues in the briefing room followed up on that remark of the president’s, especially considering how quickly after the presser the White House jumped right into “damage control mode.” And whereas last night Henry blew Kelly’s mind by telling her Obama would be attending one fundraiser on Friday, he told her tonight that actually, it’s going to

During the Great Depression, the Communist scribes at the Daily Worker were forever assuring the more skeptical among their colleagues that the heroic spark was near. Having read about a “small riot somewhere in rural Minnesota,” Whittaker Chambers recorded in Witness, Robert Minor started shouting about “the beginning of the American revolution.” If the paper wished to capitalize upon dissatisfaction and spin it into insurrection and change, Minor proposed, it would need the staff to keep an eye out for the tell-tale sign and, then, to “play it up big.” Over the past month, the events in Ferguson, Mo., have played

At least four hostages held in Syria by the Islamic State, including an American journalist who was recently executed by the group, were waterboarded in the early part of their captivity, according to people familiar with the treatment of the kidnapped Westerners. James Foley was among the four who were waterboarded several times by Islamic State militants who appeared to model the technique on the CIA’s use of waterboarding to interrogate suspected terrorists after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The victims of waterboarding are often strapped down on gurneys or benches while cold water is poured over a cloth covering

intelligence community has observed a “significant increase” in chatter among terrorist organizations as the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks nears. “We’ve noticed a significant increase in chatter among Islamic terrorist organizations overseas both on the Internet and phone lines,” a U.S. government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Blaze. While the intelligence community can not pinpoint whether or not an attack is planned, the official said that agencies “did see this kind of increase in chatter before the September 11 attacks.”

Watching the events unfold in Ferguson, Missouri, I can’t help thinking about the Holocaust and post-war Germany. As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, I’ve spent years watching Germany wrestle with its dark past. It’s just one of many places that have made efforts to understand and compensate for a difficult history: For nearly three decades, countries as varied as South Africa, Rwanda, and the nations of Latin America and post-Communist Eastern Europe have been engaged in this process, often called “transitional justice.” That’s a broad term for the ways in which societies deal with the legacies of past injustice.

Despite how unsavory and barbaric Islamic groups and persons around the world have been behaving—whether Nigeria’s Boko Haram, Mesopotamia’s Islamic State, Somalia’s Shabaab—perhaps few things are as disgusting and cowardly as the Muslim rape of nuns: defenseless Christian women who sacrifice much of their lives to help sick and needy Muslims. The latest such attack comes from Bangladesh, which is over 90% Muslim in population. In early July, dozens of men armed with machetes, knives and iron rods attacked the convent of PIME (Pontifical Institute of Foreign Missions nuns in Boldipuku), a village mission in north Bangladesh. “The nuns were
