General: ´Destroy the Islamic State Now´
Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

Original Article

Posted By:PChristopher, 8/22/2014 10:00:59 AM

General John Allen, who is retired from the military, says that the Islamic State (known as ISIS, ISIL, or IS) must be destroyed now. "The brutal murder of the brave American journalist James Foley is meant to directly terrorize the world’s media, the international community, and the United States. If all the actions of the Islamic State, or IS, to date weren’t sufficiently reprehensible, this act and the potential for other similar acts will snap American attention with laser-like focus onto the real danger IS poses to the existence of Iraq

Comments:
You´re kidding yourself. Obama won´t hurt his friends and anything he does do will only be for show.

Murdering Mr. Foley will be a strategic mistake for ISIS, it will force our Golfer and Chief to take serious measures. The rest of the western world has figured it out.

I completely agree with the General that they must be destroyed. The question is how. Airstrikes? Troops on the ground? Alliance with Iran? I do not believe this administration has the fortitude or know how to accomplish the goal.

If BO does nothing, I shutter to think about the consequences.

They criticized Bush for not doing anything and having knowledge after being in office for 9 months, meanwhile BO has been in office 6 years and he says they are a JV team.

His words and inaction are a threat to all of us.

We are paying a price for 2011. The mistakes Obama made by not forcing al-Malaki to keep a US military presence in Iraq and supporting the muslim brotherhood led Arab Spring will haunt us for years. ISIS can only be eliminated by a united Iraq. There´s now way to make that happen now. All we can do is try to contain them.

Imagine, if you will, what it really means to "destroy ISIS. What it means is a horror of unimaginable proportions for modern, mealy-mouthed "civilized" society. It means a Holy War, not envisioned since the days of Pope Urban (1106/7). To have an equivalent per capita death toll as the early Crusades, you are talking about 12 million deaths or more.

We freaked out as a nation over fewer than 5,000 killed in Iraq. We can´t stomach putting Murdering Muslim partisans to death..w.e even courts martialed our own soldiers for urinating on some Muslim corpses.

No, we´re not ready or willing to do the thing that is called for to "eradicate" a savage enemy of any kind. Satan´s Demons could be slicing heads off of nuns on the steps the U.S. Capitol building and we would just stand around discussing how relatively they might have a valid point of view.

In reality, we would rather die or convert to Islam than save our own society and culture. Ironic, isn´t it?

Stop it before its successes excite the imagination of millions of young Muslims throughout the world to believe the end time has arrived, and hear the call of Allah to wage holy war.

If they murdered Foley to ´´terrorize the world´s media´´ they wasted their time, at least here in Amerika. 95% of the so-called U.S. ´´media´´ are very, very hard-pressed to say/print ANYTHING that may upset their precious, peace loving muzzies.

It´s my opinion that the media treat the murdering muzzies with kid-gloves is out of fear. Don´t need those fire bombings at TV studios and physical attacks on their moronic ´´journalists.´´ It´s easier and safer to attack Republicans and the Tea Party types.

With respect, #1, there is nothing, nothing, on the fact of God´s green earth that will force the Duffer-in-Chief to take any measure more serious than unwillingly running his mouth.

It will be up to courageous, honorable men (looking at you, Bibi, and the IDF!) to do what needs to be done.

After more than a decade of planning and $44 million spent, a proposed memorial for President Dwight D. Eisenhower may never be built. A House Committee on Natural Resources report published last week revealed the extent of the money wasted on the already controversial project. Construction for the Eisenhower memorial has not begun and the proposed design has not been approved, but the Eisenhower Commission, which was established as a staff of 12 in 1999, has already spent tens of millions of dollars on the project. Much of that money has gone to Frank Gehry

They agreed with a landowner to park 14 caravans there until Tuesday, according to Gino Debroux, the Landen mayor. "Since then, they´ve said they won´t leave and they´re there with 30 caravans," Mr Debroux told Reuters by telephone. "This is an industrial site and is not designed for camping." He said the group´s refusal to leave had led him to hire a DJ to play music from Wednesday morning, starting around 9 a.m.

The altercation Sunday evening grew out of a shouting match between the occupants of two vehicles that escalated when several people from one vehicle were assaulted by suspects in the other, the Los Angeles County Sheriff´s Office said. An officer of the Federal Protective Service, an agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, who witnessed the assault intervened and fired his weapon

Michelle Obama’s food policy czar, celebrity chef Sam Kass, was once so in with the lunch lady crowd that he landed a guest judge spot on a tearful school lunch episode of Food Network’s “Chopped” and handed out awards at the School Nutrition Association’s convention in Denver. Two years later, when he asked to speak at the group’s annual convention this week in Boston, the answer: “No.” The rebuke shows how ugly the fight has become between the first lady and her supporters, who want kids to eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains in their school lunches

It´s not his fault that he´s flunking every class! 2) They don´t read history, they think their parents are stupid, and they don´t need to know anything other than how they feel to make a decision. Of the 48 states on the list, three contributed troops to the invasion force (the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland). Washington - The current threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, will test not only the resolve and strategic judgment of America and its allies, but also our nation’s fidelity to a basic constitutional principle. Our Constitution reserves to Congress the power to declare war and designates our president as the commander in chief, but our recent history has been characterized by executive overreach and legislative abdication in the initiation of military action.
