Obama Stands Alone: Even the media are
baffled by his deepening isolation

Fox News, by Howard Kurtz

Original Article

President Obama has few remaining friends—either in his own party or in the media. That’s the unmistakable conclusion of two pieces this week in the New York Times. Just about everyone, it seems, is down on his single, solitary nature.I’ve been saying for a year now that the president’s liberal media allies have soured on him. It started with the ObamaCare debacle and continued through his seeming passivity or slow reaction time in the wake of the VA scandal, the Bowe Bergdahl mess, the military collapse in Iraq and so on. At this point they’re basically Waiting for Hillary. What is striking

It´s lonely at the top. Must be tough to be a high a functioning heroin addict who skates through life, miraculously failing upward at every turn. Smarter than everyone else, and not shy about telling them. Only downside are these situations where people are running around wondering what to do, and you just want to um sleep for a while. Leemee lone. Talk to Valree.

Barry has never had to do anything except show up, mouth the right leftist talking points and be "clean and articulate". No one ever told him the truth about the world or the presidency. Being completely ignorant of history and divorced from reality has always been a prerequisite for Progressive ideologues. He is trapped now by reality and his own inadequacies. The circle of people who like or believe him is getting smaller and smaller. Yes, it is the bunker mentality. It´s Barry against the world. The cheese is sliding off the cracker. This is not going to end well.

Sad news for the media: the Hillary Clinton you will get in two years is worlds removed from the Hillary of ten or even five years ago, however repellent she was then.

She appears to have aged one full year every time she appears on camera (hence the limitations on photos at appearances). She has health problems. She drinks too much. She has a track record in office; her performance, decisions and mendacity are appalling.

I realize Kurtz is using her strictly as a foil for the Scarecrow In Chief but while we watch Obama augur in we should remain vigilant.

Great comments, but beware... the libs and democrats are merely throwing Obama over the cliff to preserve their ideology.

This past six years the U.S.A. has been keel-hauled by unleashed progressivism, and I fear the worst is yet to come. (Obama may stand alone, "Hi-ho, the dairy oh," but his leftist appointees and hirelings such as in the DoJ or the EPA toil on every day.)

Hillary and the Democrats will throw the president overboard to preserve the credibility of their ideology. If they get away with it, Obama´s tenure will look like the "good old days."

Its the plan Stan. Since he´s on his way out anyway, Obama takes the fall for the mess he´s created and the Dems running in November can righteously distance themselves from him. Wonder if it will work?

With Muslim killers mixed in with the ´children´ swarming across our open border and ISIS types taking selfies in front of the WH, you know it´s only a matter of time. Sean Hannity was constantly focusing on Obama’s leftist ways and friends/advisors and his total lack of accomplishments from the very beginning of the ’08 primary season.

And so were all the other conservative talk show hosts. Some were latter to the game but they all finally got there.

The reason Obama was elected and then re-elected was because RINOs, at many levels of the political spectrum, supported two lousy candidates, neither of which could hold a candle to ‘The One’ when it came to on-stage performance.

It’s not that non-leftists didn’t know what a bum this guy was. But why more ‘normal’ people didn’t get to the polls to stop this insanity, I just don’t know.

Regardless of all the press that I’ve read, I still can’t put my finger on it. Regardless of having one really pizz-poor candidate and another who was just so-so, it baffles me as to why he won twice with such apparent ease!

Maybe if we figure out what’s happening in Ferguson Mo, we will know some of the reasons for 2008 and 2012.

By August 2008, Obama was well known to many to be a Marxist/Commie. By August 2012, we recognized that he was also a Fascist.

I don’t through these terms around lightly. They fit him to a tee. Just look them up

Now the press is filled with articles questioning his mental state and psychological makeup.

All one had to do is listen to Hannity in 2008 to get a heads-up on his ‘Inner-Self’, or more precisely, the lack thereof!

Kafir

Very interesting anecdote I hadn´t heard before but which validates our suspicions that everyone else is doing Obama´s work for him and that he refuses to make hard decisions.

Partly from the NYT, this by Kurtz:

...the president meeting with Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell, which turned to Democratic complaints that the GOP was bottling up a number of Obama’s ambassadorial nominees. “Mr. Obama quickly dismissed the matter. ‘You and Mitch work it out,’ Mr. Obama said coolly, cutting off any discussion. Mr. Reid seethed quietly for the rest of the meeting.”

Try to find one meaningful example of Obama has behaving like a leader and personally making a hard decision. Just one.

We are supposed to believe that his decision got Osama killed, that his decision got some Yazidis rescued (the rest got slaughtered when we retreated), that his decision got some ISIS weaponry blown up, that his decisions solved a (non-existent) health care "crisis", that his decisions will further our relations with other nations. (How did that work out?)

The media shouldn´t be "baffled" by O´s isolation. Valerie cannot any longer protect him from reality, from the truth, which always rises to the top. Obama is isolating himself because he is discovering that his armor-clad ego is dented and splitting due to the inconvenience of reality.

He cannot afford to have his lifetime worldview be proved incoherent, which it is. The man is a dangerously wounded animal. Look for something extreme to happen to America soon. It won´t be pretty.

All great posts and insight here but then we all knew this.
I heard a comment awhile back that Obama will become rich after he leaves office by giving speeches. I personally don´t think so. Who would pay oddles of money to hear Obama read a teleprompter with words someone else besides him stuffed in it?
To give credit to BJ Clinton, "Obama ain´t no Clinton".
There might be a handful of black organizations that might blow some bucks to see and hear him but even that will pass. On the other hand Obama is too lazy and shiftless to maybe work that much. He is totally consumed by the game of golf.
The few times I sit still to even look at the creepy dude or listen to him drone on with his whistling speech I see a man with ´I want to quit this job´ written all over his face.

MSM media = biggest liars on the planet. Who is gullible enough to believe their faux "dismay" at Barack Hussein, after covering-up and lying for him for over 6 years?! These same biggest liars on the planet will be eagerly embracing equally bad or worse qualities in the next Democrat candidate, whether she´s wearing a pantsuit or not. A "baffled" MSM media? That assumes they still have a bit of conscience left, which they´ve proven beyond doubt cannot be true.

#20, you raise good points. But one explanation for why BO was elected and re-elected is the heavily biased media.

Even if the "media are baffled" they are NOT quite daring to expose all of BO´s leftist roots. Partly because they are sympatico with BO´s world-view.

We can see the evidence in the way they covered (so to speak) the emergence of the TEA Parties. Their biases are on display with every "news" story they write or report on.

Technically they do not deserve to be called "journalist". Also, we know about their cabals like the "JournOlists" who promulgate the Democrat/Leftist propaganda.

No. The left-wing media are not going to abandon BO, even as they sip their Chablis and whisper about his "deepening isolation" and how on earth will they be able to save his sorry rear-end this time.

As President of the Harvard Law Review, Mr. Obama was not known for outstanding leadership; as a senator from Illinois, Mr. Obama learned to avoid hard choices by voting "present;" as a U.S. senator, Mr. Obama mainly prepared to run for higher office. This pattern of leadership is now embedded in the WH.

Question: Did the MSM play a key role in getting Mr. Obama to the WH, and keeping him there?

A constitutional amendment provides for the President´s replacement when he becomes so disabled as to be unable to execute his duties. The burdens of his personality disorders passed that point long ago.
It´s time to move on to Biden, with his own personality problems.

He will leave the major duties of the office to Biden and Val Jar. I don´t think so #35. The world thinks he stinks, too. He´s nicer to our enemies than our friends, resulting in a world where friends don´t trust us and enemies, duh, still hate us.

This isolation is the ´denial´ part of grieving. The next is anger, and I am really worried about that. His revenge it the collapse of our borders - notice how TSA is still search little old ladies and babies, but illegals fly without ID. #1 A concise evaluation.
#36 It is a fact that Senate Democrats are the key to impeachment and removal.
Even if Republican raise their present number from 45 to 51 as hoped they´ ll do in November,
they´ll still need at least 16 additional Democrats to vote to
remove Barry.
However ,Democrats are trapped by their base
and Barry knows that.
MO State Senator Jamilah Nasheed said that if Officer Wilson isn´t convicted and apparently given the death penalty,
" the riots in Ferguson would look like a picnic ".
Imagine the national conflagration if Democrats helped remove the first black president.
The NYT article was eye popping as Senate Democrats, by name, all said that Barry is an isolated cold fish who has checked out.
He´s obviously no longer even pretending.
Only Valerie Jarrett could possibly convince him to resign to spend more time with his golf clubs and Reggie.
We are stuck with this deteriorating mental case for the next two years and 3 four months
and ISIS knows it.

Excerpt from "If You Love Your Country, You Can Keep Your Country" by Barack Obama, a #1 NYT best seller that Bill Ayers hasn´t even written yet.

His work was done. Now it was time to sit back, admire the fruits of his handiwork, and watch the United State implode. And in several locations across the country, explode.
"Everything is moving forward according to plan," he smiled as he reached for the tall cold one cradled in the cup holder of the golf cart. "Ayers was absolutely right, for this to work, 30% of Americans will have to die, and that will happen just as soon my boys from ISIL unleash the bioweapons and the bombs. ObamaCare will take care of the rest."

The Democrats are starting to bail on Obama because they know that the majority of the people in the country have figured out that Obama´s very liberal policies suck are expensive and are dangerous. The Democrats are thinking about the future elections and can´t wait to turn their political allegiance to Hillary Clinton or some new Democrat candidate, but the Democrats should be held responsible for what Obama has been doing, as it was the Democrats who facilitated him getting into the White House in the first place.

As far as Obama is concerned, he could care less about ISIS and is hoping that they will not do anything directly to the USA before he leaves office, so that he can say that he stopped the Bush and Republican started wars, as he goes out on the liberal speaking circuit getting paid $300,000.00 or more for about 90 minutes of reading canned speeches off his teleprompter essentially telling the world how great he is.

It was obvious within the first quarter of 2009 the Obama was not capable of the job, but he believed or was persuaded that he was. By the first quarter of 2013 even he was convinced of his profound inabilities and failure.
We see now that he is mentally incapable of further fakery, and he is tired, very tired and discouraged.
The Constitution provides for replacement owing to incapacity, which may allow him and his fanatical supporters to save face.

I don´t think he cares and it´s an "In your face" moment because you can´t pick on the black prez. He has started the fires of riots and knock outs and all he has to do is say whitey is picking on him.

The summer vacay is for indoctrination for the fall and upcoming election. Nobody has heard from the mooch- who is getting her batteries changed.

Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. Some Capitol Hill lawmakers are baffled. What does President Obama want from Congress as he begins the U.S. military escalation in Iraq and Syria? The question wasn´t answered by the president´s much-anticipated speech Wednesday night. First, Obama seemed to tell Congress to mind its own business. "I have the authority to address the threat from ISIL," he said, indicating he didn´t need or want any permission from the legislative branch to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. Then Obama added, "But I believe we are strongest as a nation when the president and Congress work together. So I welcome congressional

With his address to the nation Wednesday evening, President Obama revealed that he is a leader in deep denial about the threat the United States faces, and about the steps that are necessary to deal with it. In his remarks, Obama offered up a series of delusions, each of which point to the ultimate defeat of the United States in the war he has embarked upon. Delusion #1: Obama still thinks ISIS is the JV team. Here’s how he began his speech: We can’t erase every trace of evil from the world, and small groups of killers have the capacity to do great harm. President Obama on Wednesday night outlined an open-ended campaign to combat the threat posed by the Islamic State, significantly expanding the counterterrorism strategy that has been a hallmark of his presidency.Obama said in a prime-time speech televised from the White House that the United States will join “with our friends and allies to degrade, and ultimately destroy, the terrorist group known as ISIL,” using an alternative acronym for the group that has emerged in Iraq and Syria.Saying the United States is meeting the threat with “strength and resolve,” the president also sought to assuage the concerns of Americans who are

Americans overwhelmingly view Islamic State terrorists as a serious threat to vital U.S. interests and, in a significant shift, widely support airstrikes in Iraq and Syria, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. The nation’s increasingly hawkish mood will form part of the backdrop for a speech by President Obama on Wednesday, when he will outline his thinking on how to confront the threat from the Islamic State. Obama’s remarks will come a day after he confers with congressional leaders at the White House about the administration’s planning.Obama’s speech also comes at a critical moment in his presidency. We know Derek Jeter by heart, so why all this memorizing? The between-pitches bat tucked up in his armpit. The fingertip helmet-twiddle. The left front foot wide open, out of the box until the last moment, and the cop-at-a-crossing right hand ritually lifted astern until the foot swings shut. That look of expectation, a little night-light gleam, under the helmet. The pitch—this one a slow breaking ball, a fraction low and outside—taken but inspected with a bending bow in its passage. More. Jeter’s celebrity extends beyond his swing, of course, but can perhaps be summarized by an excited e-mail once

The United Nations Security Council met Thursday to discuss the Ukraine crisis for the 24th time this year, after reports indicated that Russian soldiers and weapons had crossed the border into eastern Ukraine to support insurgents there. Samantha Power, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., said that Russia is not pulling back in Ukraine as it has repeatedly promised to do. "Russia has come before UNSC to say everything except truth. It has manipulated. It has obfuscated. It has outright lied," Power said. "We have learned to measure Russia by its actions, not its words. In last 48 hours, Russia´s actions have

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — It is a lingering mystery of Bill Clinton’s White House: the genesis of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy that gay groups came to revile. But soon, this and other secrets that remain hidden away here at the Clinton Presidential Library may be unlocked. What did the Justice Department say about all the random requests for pardons? What kind of advice came from Clinton staffers such as now-Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan? What strategic thoughts were offered to the president and first lady Hillary Clinton on terrorism, Whitewater and health care reform? And what’s the library been

Flashes of disagreement over how to fight the Islamic State are mounting between President Obama and U.S. military leaders, the latest sign of strain in what often has been an awkward and uneasy relationship. Even as the administration has received congressional backing for its strategy, with the Senate voting Thursday to approve a plan to arm and train Syrian rebels, a series of military leaders have criticized the president’s approach against the Islamic State militant group. Retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, who served under Obama until last year, became the latest high-profile skeptic on Thursday, telling the House Intelligence Committee

Devastating. That´s really the only way to describe Politico´s piece on DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (I hereby nominate her for Worst Week in Washington.) (Editor´s note: Three words -- Joseph. Robinette. Biden.) Based on interviews with DNC staffers -- both former and current -- the piece described Wasserman Schultz as something of a modern-day Tracy Flick: over-eager, disloyal and not shy about promoting her ambitions. It would be fair to say that she sounds like, well, a lot like other politicians. And this would be accurate. But the wholesale bashing of Wasserman Schultz at every level of the party -- White House,
