Net closes on ´Jihadi John´
as London pair probed

Telegraph [UK], by Gordon Rayner*

An NHS doctor from east London who was previously accused of kidnapping Western journalists in Syria may hold the key to identifying the jihadi who beheaded James Foley, intelligence sources have disclosed. Shajul Islam was arrested and charged with kidnapping a British journalist, John Cantlie, in 2012 but was released after his trial collapsed when Mr Cantlie was unable to give evidence. He had always protested his innocence, saying he went to Syria to use his medical skills to treat victims of the civil war. His brother Razul, 21, also travelled to Syria and is believed to be fighting with the Islamic State

I feel more pain ahead.

The tenor of the article is wrong in that it ends by stating the perp will be brought to justice. We will not end this conflict until we understand this is a fight against evil, justice does not recognize evil, only guilt. Until we can openly and honestly state we consider ourselves on the side of everything that has brought prosperity (thus good for all) to the civilized world we are not prepared to fight this monster. I suggest we kill him, his kids, his wife, and take a look at his parents. REMOVE EVIL

I wouldn´t watch the video of Mr. Foley´s death if you paid me 20 million bucks. No way.

This guy - I´d pay a lot to watch it as long as I could be promised it would be really slow, intensely agonizing, and would include a video feed featuring his eternity in hell.

The first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in America was initially sent home with antibiotics after doctors failed to recognise the symptoms of the deadly disease. A desperate search has now been launched to find other people in Dallas, Texas who the man could have infected. [Snip] He is now critically ill and in isolation at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. The ambulance vehicle used to transport him has been quarantined. Three paramedics who were sent to get him are being kept isolated at their homes and will be monitored for three weeks, the incubation period of Ebola, to see if they

Kim Jong-un, the North Korean dictator, has become so fat while in office that his ankles have fractured under his own weight, it was reported on Tuesday. The 31-year-old, who has looked increasingly portly since taking power, had to undergo a hospital operation after putting too much strain on his ankles during a gruelling round of official engagements. [Snip] Unlike other members of North Korea´s political elite, for whom a sudden absence from public life often means they have been killed or imprisoned, in Kim Jong-un´s case it is said to be down to Elvis-style weight gain as a result

Netanyahu will talk to Obama about the current tensions between Israel the Palestinian Authority, and is also expected to ask Obama not to cooperate with Iran as part of the campaign against the Islamic State (aka ISIS), reports IDF Radio. Iran is ready to work with the United States and its allies to stop Islamic State terrorists, but would like to see more flexibility on Iran’s uranium enrichment program, senior Iranian officials told Reuters. The current outbreak of Ebola virus in Dallas has people all over the United States panicked about the possibility of Ebola coming to their hometown. [Snip] The CDC lists the following symptoms, which generally appear within 8 to 10 days after exposure to Ebola: Fever of above 101.5°F; Severe headache; Muscle pain; Weakness; Diarrhea; Vomiting; Abdominal pain; Unexplained hemorrhage (bleeding or bruising). Treatment. If you come down with these symptoms, go to a hospital immediately. There is no antibiotic treatment or vaccine for Ebola virus; essentially, your immune system is the only defense against Ebola virus.

Federal health officials on Tuesday confirmed the first case of Ebola diagnosed in the U.S., a male patient who recently traveled from Liberia to Dallas and a sign of the far-reaching impact of the out-of-control epidemic in West Africa. The unidentified patient was critically ill and has been in isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital since Sunday, officials said. Health authorities have begun tracking down family and friends who may have had close contact with the patient and could be at risk for becoming ill. But officials said there are no other suspected cases in Texas.

As if the fast degenerating geo-political situation isn’t bad enough, here’s another lorry load of concerns to add to the pile. The UK and US economies may be on the mend at last, but that’s not the pattern elsewhere. On a global level, growth is being steadily drowned under a rising tide of debt, threatening renewed financial crisis, a continued squeeze to living standards, and eventual mass default. Only in the majority, Sen. President Obama firmly believes the United States is better off now than when he took office, even though the American people cannot “feel” it. During an interview with 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft, Obama said, “the country is definitely better off than when I came into office.” “When I came into office, our economy was in crisis,” Obama said. The president then cited lower unemployment, private sector job growth, and deficit cuts as evidence of his administration’s success. “I can put my record against any leader around the world in terms of digging ourselves out of a terrible, almost unprecedented financial crisis,” Obama said. Sacramento, Calif. - Gov. Jerry Brown on Tuesday signed legislation imposing the nation's first statewide ban on single-use plastic bags, driven to action by a buildup of litter and damage to aquatic ecosystems. A national coalition of plastic bag manufacturers immediately said it would seek a voter referendum to repeal the law, which is scheduled to take effect in July 2015. Under SB270, plastic bags will be phased out of large grocery stores starting next summer and convenience stores and pharmacies in 2016. The law allows grocers to charge a fee of at least 10 cents for using paper bags. State Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Los Angeles,
