Palin goes 0 for 2 in Alaska as
clout disappears nationally

McClatchy Newspapers, by Sean Cockerham

Original Article

WASHINGTON — Sarah Palin has lost the magic. The defeat of her choice Tuesday in a Republican Senate primary in her home state of Alaska capped a primary season in which her favored candidates have stumbled across the nation. A referendum to restore Palin’s signature achievement from her time as Alaska governor, a state tax on oil companies, was also headed toward defeat following Tuesday’s voting, dealing a double whammy loss to Palin in her home state and highlighting her declining influence. Only four of the 15 congressional candidates endorsed by Palin nationwide this year have won their primaries, a far worse

If those in charge don´t like how a vote turned out, they have been known to ´fix´ it. The voters (in AL)voted out a certain R woman a couple of years ago. The person running against her won. However, she ran as a ´write in´ and won. Thing is her name has lots of letters and is difficult to pronounce and the law states every write in had to be spelled correctly. So, my point is, those who won didn´t necessarily.

That´s certainly good news for the moderate/liberal republicans, and democrats, but bad news for America.

I have a busy day ahead of me, and I haven´t much time to ponder; however, I going to take the time to say the following:

The majority of humans in the world are stupid. The founding fathers knew this, and put measures in place to compensate for that. That´s why they put limit on whom could vote in the USA. Voters had to be land owners, and etc., and etc. They barred women from voting because they knew widows could become land owners, and there´s a higher percentage of stupid women than the percentage of stupid men.

Well, men wanting power talked the stupid people into changing all that, and the constitution was amended. Link all that to how the country has changed for the worst since all the stupid people can vote.

I´ve got to run . . . have a good day

I think that there is a simple reason why Joe Miller lost. He has a beard. Think about it. No Senator, or Congressman has a beard. Or a mustache either. And hasn´t for decades. All our elected representatives have to have a certain look, and that look is kept within strict limits of clothes and grooming. It´s too bad, but our governing classes are as uniform as the Borg.

Any Tea Party related loss, no matter how narrow, is interpreted as the last nail in the coffin. Dems can lose from now to doomsday, and the stories will ever be about how they are on the verge of "turning Texas blue" or somesuch. That´s just how it works - the mainstream media coverage, that is.

Maybe there just aren´t enough people who believe in the principles of good government to elect those candidates.

The constant attacks on Sarah Palin would seem to indicate that.

Upon Attorney General Eric Holder´s resignation last week, NBC´s Chuck Todd made an odd comment: “[W]hat’s interesting about him, he is a very non-political person.” There may be merit to saying Holder has been more ideological than political, but it still seems like a strange thing to say about him. After all, his most famous act before his tenure as Attorney General had been to help arrange President Bill Clinton´s highly unusual and controversial last minute pardon of a wanted fugitive — mega-donor and billionaire Marc Rich. Holder not only recommended the pardon (calling himself “neutral leaning favorable”) but was also

As medical workers, bolstered by the U.S. military, struggle to contain a rapidly expanding epidemic, Prof. Cyril Broderick published a newspaper article in Liberia stating that the same military “manufactured” Ebola as a biological weapon and started the plague by testing it on Africans. Still more, Broderick, a plant biologist, asserts that some of the organizations battling Ebola — including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, the World Health

Here’s how to reinforce that belief: Sit out the 2014 congressional elections because your favorite candidate lost his primary bid to an establishment Republican. If you live in Kansas, for example, you can suck your thumb while Democrat ringer Greg Orman beats Republican Senator Pat Roberts. If you’re a Kentucky conservative, you can stay home and b***h about Mitch while Alison “Rubberstamp” Grimes heads to Washington. Just this week, two seemingly unrelated events unfolded, but they actually reveal a new liberal tactic. The Hillary Clinton Front-Group, American Bridge, filed a bogus federal complaint against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and then a federal probe into New Jersey Governor Chris Christie found no evidence linking Christie to “Bridge-Gate.” Meanwhile, Texas Governor Rick Perry was indicted last month. Make no mistake, these events are related. Emerging is a new liberal tactic to gin up legal proceedings against conservatives and then use the media to amplify the investigations and make the officials look guilty. These attacks are part of a

Political pollsters have a tough job. They have to create formulas to determine if the person they are interviewing is likely to vote, and it is within this calculation that their reputations are made. Typically, those who are likely to vote in an off-year election are pretty set. They are the people who always vote in elections — with some motivated by specific issues. In a wave election, the number of those motivated by specific issues escalates, changing the electoral landscape as the candidates who are beneficiaries of this increased participation sweep to victory. The 2014 election is rapidly looking like something new
