Eric Holder Discusses Being
Stopped by Police in Georgetown,
on Jersey Turnpike

Wall Street Journal, by Reid J. Epstein

Original Article

Attorney General Eric Holder, the first African American to serve as the country’s top law-enforcement official, commented on his personal experiences with police, in remarks at St. Louis Community College. Mr. Holder traveled to Ferguson, Mo., on Wednesday in an attempt to assure residents that the Justice Department was thoroughly investigating the shooting of Michael Brown, which set off more than a week of protests and confrontations with police. Below are excerpts from Mr. Holder’s remarks, as provided by the Justice Department. “We have seen a great deal of progress over the years. But we also see problems and these problems stem

Comments:
Holder describes a few encounters with police that are similar to my own experiences over the years (I am white) and I´m sure have happened to many others.
The man (like his boss) has a gigantic chip on his shoulder and is unduly paranoid (like many of "his people") about the police.
He´s unfit for his job, but then again, most intelligent people figured that out during the Clinton administration.

Knowing that liberals have never come face to face with the truth, did these extremely upsetting police stops ever happen? If so, they apparently have changed Holder so much that he believes every day, all day, he and other blacks are being discriminated against just for being alive. Perhaps if he knew the law and obeyed the law, he could have a much more satisfying life. He could be part of the thugs in Ferguson and live with an EBT card and unemployment. Then he would have something to complain about.

And if I, a 60-ish white woman, get stopped on the turnpike by a cop, black or white, should I be all indignant about it?

Or should I be more concerned about WHAT I DID WRONG?

If I was walking down the center stripe of a 2-lane neighborhood street, and a cop stopped me and said get on the sidewalk, I´D THANK HIM for looking out for my safety. But then I´d never walk down the center of any street.

What is it with that mindset that if they do something (1) stupid, (2) wrong, or (3) illegal and get stopped for it, that they have been offended, for getting caught?!

We have been through the lookingglass for some years now, but I still can´t get over how upside-down, inside-out our world continues to be. I feel sometimes like I´m in a movie where someone popped open a bottle they shouldn´t have, that they were warned about but did it anyway, and this is the result.

Where the hell is the end of this movie?!

It seems the first African American prez and AG were given an opportunity to do right by the country and have let all of US down. Condoning black crime is not helping to reduce crime or racism.

They have assured that no other black man will have the same position until we are totally outnumbered. Then again, blacks will be outnumbered by Latinos and birthrate.

Hard to believe it´s 2014 and We have wiped out 50 years of progress.

WASHINGTON — Julia Pierson, the director of the Secret Service, is resigning in the wake of several security breaches, according to administration officials. The resignation came less than a day after lawmakers from both parties assailed Ms. Pierson’s leadership and said they feared for the lives of the president and others in the protection of the agency. A 30-year veteran of the Secret Service, Ms. Pierson was supposed to have been the one to repair the agency’s reputation after scandals that raised questions about a culture that gave rise to incidents involving drinking and prostitution during overseas trips.

Nearly 35,000 walruses were discovered this month on a northwest Alaskan shore as result of being unable to find sea ice to rest upon, a problem aggravated by climate change, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said. The unusually massive walrus gatherings were first spotted on Sept. 13 when NOAA conducted its annual arctic marine mammal aerial survey, a spokeswoman told the Associated Press. The marine mammals use sea ice as diving platforms to hunt for food in shallow areas, or as resting points to avoid long, exhausting swims. While it is normal for sea ice to recede into

President Barack Obama, stumping for the Democrats ahead of November´s congressional elections, has twice invoked Ronald Reagan´s seminal campaign question: "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" Framing the debate like that helped Reagan twice - in 1980 when he beat incumbent Jimmy Carter, and then again in 1984 when he won re-election during an economic upswing. But a similar message has failed to resonate for Obama primarily for one reason: while he stresses the economy has improved in almost every aspect on his watch, average family incomes have slipped. President Obama this week committed professional suicide. Let me explain. There is a theory in politics that once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished. The reason being that by creating so many enemies ‘outside the tent’, the tent itself becomes too deluged with poisonous bile to avoid sinking into a quagmire of back-stabbing ignominy. Obama went a lot further than firing 50 people. He managed to single-handedly alienate 200,000 employees in the American intelligence agencies by going on 60 Minutes and ruthlessly chucking them all under a bus
