Neither Just Nor Peaceful
American Spectator, by George Neumayr

"No justice, no peace,” scream protesters in Ferguson, Missouri. Implicit in this menacing chant is that the rioting on display there for over a week has been justified. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, among other hucksters, disclaim the violence, even as they stoke it with reckless rhetoric. They aren’t interested in peace but power. Were they truly opposed to the violence, they wouldn’t coin chants that condone it. “We’re not looters. We’re liberators,” says Sharpton. Liberating society from what? The rule of law? His view of justice is that the law be permanently suspended for the racially aggrieved. A police department

I suspected that numerous "community organizers" were in Ferguson, Missouri, trying to incite a race war, and I was right.

Two members of the Revolutionary Communist Party, one from Chicago, one from New York, have been identified as those actively encouraging violent attacks on police, throwing Molotov cocktails, bricks and bottles, and doing everything possible to foment violence and chaos.

Question: Just how many "community organizers" are there in that crowd, and how many were sent there by the Obama Administration and Eric Holder´s "Just-Us" Department?

"Just Us" Dept. nails it #1.

This racial divide has been the Obama Regime´s intent all along. Heck, they all hate America (having said so!).

And now we have a whiff of Muslim intervention in all this, an odor that is not being protested much less prevented, and we can all see what these people have in store for our republic.

Once more we can thank all those White Guilt people for helping them steal the presidency and our futures.

In Senate Battle, the Wild Cards
Become Alaska and Kansas
New York Times, by Nate Cohn    Original Article

The last few weeks of public polling have offered contradictory and surprising results, like surveys showing the Democratic Senate candidate in Colorado either up by six percentage points or down by eight. Nonetheless, the polls have clarified the fight for the Senate. States like North Carolina and Michigan have moved toward the Democrats, while Arkansas and Louisiana have drifted toward the Republican column. The result is that the list of battleground states has shrunk, with perhaps only Alaska, Iowa and Kansas remaining as true tossups. Yet even though the overall picture is sharper, it now centers on the two most mysterious

What Did Turkey Trade for Hostages?

Turkey is celebrating the return of 49 of their citizens held for 101 days by Islamic State. The hostages were captured when the Iraqi city of Mosul fell to the terrorists. Turkey’s state run news agency Anadolu reported that “no ransom had been paid and “no conditions were accepted in return for their release.” But many observers weren’t buying that explanation. The official explanation “sounds a bit too good to be true,” said Sinan Ulgen, a former Turkish diplomat who chairs the Istanbul-based Centre for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies. “There are some very legitimate and unanswered questions about how this happened.” The hostages

Don’t let a rare act of bipartisanship fool you. Just because Congress came together (miraculously and quickly before, ahem, their midterm elections) in passage of a continuing resolution which also authorizes the training and arming of Syrian troops, doesn’t mean that the American people - or the military for that matter – are fully buying into the president’s plan. All the hustle and bustle on Capitol Hill this week laid bare the confusion and political calculation behind the White House’s recent push to go after the ISIS (ISIL) terrorist group, which increases its threats against the U.S. and its allies every

Gen. Ray Odierno, the Army chief of staff, said Friday it might be necessary to deploy more U.S. forces to Iraq beyond the 1,600 troops already there, warning that the fight against the Islamic State will intensify and could go on for years. Odierno, who served as the top U.S. military commander during the last war in Iraq, also said he would not rule out the need to send small numbers of U.S. ground troops into combat as tactical airstrike spotters or as front-line advisers embedded with Iraq forces. In a breakfast interview with the Defense Writers Group, Odierno said that “1,600

The Archbishop of Canterbury has admitted to feeling doubts over the existence of God. In a recent interview at Bristol Cathedral, Archbishop Justin Welby said on a recent morning run with his dog he had questioned why God had failed to intervene to prevent injustice. “The other day I was praying over something as I was running and I ended up saying to God ‘Look this is all very well but isn’t it about time you did something – if you’re there.’” Earlier in the interview, when asked if he had moments of doubt, Archbishop Welby replied: “Yes. The Texas governor is perfectly positioned to create a new geopolitical consensus in the GOP. Late for happy hour, a junior staffer sighs and starts in on a draft email announcing RickPAC, Rick Perry’s new political action committee. “Friend & Supporter,” it begins. The staffer stares at the screen. “We’re living during…” During what? One of the lamest eras ever? Okay, no. How about: “one of the most volatile periods since the Cold War.” Twenty minutes later, the draft is finished. It pops up in the inbox of a communications staffer, also feeling overworked, who scans it quickly for groaners and gives it the

AUSTIN, Texas — The special prosecutor who secured two felony abuse of power indictments against Gov. Rick Perry is facing his own legal problems after a decision by Texas´ highest criminal court to renew a contempt of court case against him. Prosecutors filed a contempt of court motion against San Antonio-based attorney Michael McCrum in January, after a separate case the previous fall. In it, one of McCrum´s clients was convicted of manslaughter for driving his car the wrong-way down an interstate with a blood-alcohol level three times the legal limit, and sparking a head-on crash that killed two men. At the very end of Matt Bai’s New York Times Magazine feature about Gary Hart that could be titled “Hart-less: The Original Bimbo Eruption,” there’s a short passage that puts on full display the irrepressible presumption of liberalism—or perhaps it’s another example of Bush Derangement Syndrome. Here’s how the piece ends: “It’s what he could have done for this country that I think bothers him to this very day,” Lee [Hart] said. “Well, at the very least, George W. Bush wouldn’t have been president,” [Gary] Hart said ruefully. This sounded a little narcissistic, but it was, in fact, a hard premise to

With his decision to use force against the violent extremists of the Islamic State, President Obama is doing more than to knowingly enter a quagmire. He is doing more than play with the fates of two half-broken countries—Iraq and Syria—whose societies were gutted long before the Americans appeared on the horizon. Obama is stepping once again—and with understandably great reluctance—into the chaos of an entire civilization that has broken down. Arab civilization, such as we knew it, is all but gone. The Arab world today is more violent, unstable, fragmented and driven by extremism—the extremism of the rulers and those in

The 2014 November midterm elections are nearly here, and Democratic and Republican candidates across the country are bracing for the inevitable conclusion to months of campaigning. But even as certain forecast models downgrade the GOP’s chances for taking Congress’ upper chamber, several recent polls signal that Republicans will indeed walk away from November with many victories and perhaps a Senate majority. Here are the top nine polls from this week that hint at good news for the GOP: Colorado: In a Quinnipiac survey released Thursday, Rep. Cory Gardner, R-Colo., holds a 48 percent to 40 percent lead over Democratic Sen.

FOR THE sake of the cameras, President Obama assured Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko at a White House meeting Thursday that “not only do we support Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence in words, but we’ve also been supporting it in deeds.” If only that were true. The reality is that the beleaguered Ukrainian leader left Washington backed by considerable rhetoric from the Obama administration but little with which he can turn back the continuing Russian aggression against his country. In an emotional address to Congress, Mr. Poroshenko described Ukraine as fighting for Western democratic values as well as its own survival, and he

WASHINGTON — Kurdish fighters battling ISIS desperately want more guns and armor, but they already have a secret weapon: The fanatics they’re fighting fear that if they get killed in combat by a woman, they won’t go to heaven. “They have many female battalions, as you know who fought very bravely,” Rep. Devastating. That´s really the only way to describe Politico´s piece on DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (I hereby nominate her for Worst Week in Washington.) (Editor´s note: Three words -- Joseph. Robinette. Biden.) Based on interviews with DNC staffers -- both former and current -- the piece described Wasserman Schultz as something of a modern-day Tracy Flick: over-eager, disloyal and not shy about promoting her ambitions. It would be fair to say that she sounds like, well, a lot like other politicians. And this would be accurate. But the wholesale bashing of Wasserman Schultz at every level of the party -- White House,

That rare respiratory illness sickening children around the country continues to crop up in new places. It has been confirmed in 22 states, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday, appearing in three states where it had not been previously: Georgia, Michigan and Washington state. These children are facing an uncommon enterovirus strain. While enteroviruses in general are quite common, this particular strain — enterovirus 68 — has not cropped up terribly often since it was first identified in 1962. It can cause severe breathing problems, a particular danger for children who may suffer from asthma or other

Washington - The Secret Service is coming under intense scrutiny after a man who hopped the White House fence made it all the way through the front door before being apprehended. President Barack Obama and his daughters had just departed the White House on Friday evening when an intruder scaled the north fence, darted across the lawn and into the presidential residence, where agents nabbed him. The security breach triggered a rare evacuation of much of the White House, with Secret Service officers drawing their guns as they rushed staffers and journalists out a side door.

The French did for President Obama on Friday what they refused to do for his predecessor — they joined the fight in Iraq. Two Rafale fighter planes armed with laser-guided bombs “entirely destroyed” an Islamic State munitions depot and killed dozens of ISIS fighters, making France the first coalition country to make good on its promise to battle the murderous militants. “Other operations will follow in the coming days with the same goal — to weaken this terrorist organization and come to the aid of the Iraqi authorities,” French President Francois Hollande vowed.
