Texas Governor Rick Perry´s
Indictment The Work Of

Politics: Now that the indictment of Texas Gov. Rick Perry is coming up as the mother of all nothingburgers, and even Democrats are steering clear, it´s time to look at those behind this scam: George Soros-funded front groups. Friday´s news erupted with a Texas-sized gusher of political mud — Gov. Perry indicted on two felony counts of corruption and abuse of office! And it was all over his decision to defund a "public integrity office" run by a convicted drunk whose failure to resign left an office unable to straighten itself out. With the news breaking late at week´s end, the governor´s

Soros also funds the professional anarchists who are magically transported from Oakland and Chicago to Ferguson, MO, and any other site in need of a good riot. He´s been funding them for decades.

Just because this is a nothingburger does not mean that a Democratic prosecutor aided by a Democratic judge cannot manufacture a conviction and sentence Perry to 99 years.

US President Barack Obama called on Tuesday for the release of Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo López, and underscored the work of Berta Soler, head of Cuban dissenting organization Ladies in White. The statement was issued during a speech at the Clinton Global Initiative. "We stand in solidarity with those who are detained at this very moment," noted the US president as reported by AP. "In Venezuela, Leopoldo Lopez," said Obama before referring to other leaders in prison in places such as Burundi, Egypt, China, and Vietnam. "They deserve to be free. They ought to be released."

Naomi Klein is by all accounts a wonderful person – warm, low-key, modest, committed and enormously hard-working. She also looks terrific in a crisp white shirt, which is what she wore for a recent photo shoot for Vogue. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Vogue is interested in fashionable intellectuals, and right now there’s no intellectual more fashionable than Ms. Klein. She told Vogue that her new book, This Changes Everything, is “a book about climate change for people who don’t read books about climate change.” Ms. Klein and her new book are being written up everywhere. So who is Klein, and why is she such a hot ticket? Not since the 1980s, when Daniel Ortega, Nicaragua´s Marxist dictator, bought $3,000 sunglasses on Fifth Avenue during a U.N. General Assembly have we seen such a confluence of free-market hate and consumer hog-wallow. But the leaders of the Climate Change March and the "Flood Wall Street" Occupy reunion put left-wing hypocrisy on full display this week in their loathing for capitalism and all-too-eager enjoyment of its

SINGAPORE - Construction worker Prabakaran Chinnappa on Tuesday became the 18th person to be dealt with over last December´s Little India riot. The Indian national, 24, was sentenced to 31 months in jail and three strokes of the cane after pleading guilty to rioting, and abetting others to set fire to an ambulance. The court heard that for the first charge, Prabakaran had hit an empty police car repeatedly with a stick, and helped flip the vehicle onto its side. He also threw pieces of paper into the car after it had been set on fire to feed the flames,

Francisco Rodriguez, an economist with Bank of America Corp., was at a routine meeting with Venezuelan central bank officials last week when he sprung an unusual question on them: Can you show me your gold? He’d been itching to take a peek for years and now was the time to ask. With the government’s bonds sinking toward prices that indicate investors are bracing for the possibility of default, the country’s $15 billion of gold bars are crucial to ensuring debt payments are met. His first impression once inside the vaults? Those bars don’t take up a lot of room.

London´s gay community is facing a sexual health crisis as a result of "worsening" awareness of the dangers of unsafe sex. Whilst gay and bisexual men represent less than 4 percent of London´s population they are responsible for 84 percent of syphilis cases and 65 percent of gonorrhoea cases in the capital. A new study from Public Health England (PHE), reported on by Pink News, suggested that around a quarter of all reported cases of sexually transmitted infections (STI) are diagnosed in gay men. The figures – which relate to 2013 – will make worrying reading for public health professionals,

Labour has been sent into a panic after rumours circulated they might be beaten in the House of Commons by-election for the seat of Heywood and Middleton on 9th October. The poll was triggered when veteran Labour MP Jim Dobbin died earlier this month. For years the seat was considered to be ´safe´ by Labour, and had a majority of nearly six thousand in 2010. However, the party are worried the UKIP surge may still rob them of the seat, which has led to the Labour whips desperately sending MPs to the area.
