Jerry Seinfeld freaks out after
his vintage Porsche is almost struck

New York Post, by David K. Li

Original Article

Posted By:harleynyc, 8/19/2014 3:35:34 PM

Jerry Seinfeld exchanged words with another motorist in the Hamptons on Monday after she nearly backed into his prized wheels. The funnyman was sitting on a bench in East Hampton, across the street from his rare 1973 Porsche 911 RSR, when he spotted another car backing up to park in front his vehicle. But as that car got a little too close for Seinfeld’s comfort, he ran across the street and yelled at the 60-year-old female motorist to stop. The woman appeared to be frightened as she hit the brakes, and stepped out of her vehicle momentarily to hear Seinfeld’s angry words.

I parked my second new car in front of Robard´s Drug Store. As I came out the door, a woman parallel parking slammed her car into the front of it.

"What are you doing!", I yelled, "That´s a brand new car!"

"That´s what bumper are for," she retorted, unfazed, and walked away. I just stood there.

What a jerk, Seinfeld that is. It´s only a car, a car she didn´t touch. If so worried about it keep it in a Leno-style garage.

Current Congress might be
history’s worst at passing laws

WASHINGTON — The current Congress is on track to be the worst ever at passing laws since modern record-keeping began, with three of its lawmakers failing to introduce a single bill, The Post has learned. The divided House and Senate have managed to pass just 163 laws that garnered President Obama’s signature since the two-year term began in January 2013. At this rate, Congress will have no problem beating the previous record set during the 2011-2013 session in which 284 laws were passed. That was down from 385 laws passed in the 2009-2011 session.

Former president Jimmy Carter called on the West to recognize the U.S.-designated terrorist group Hamas as a legitimate "political actor" that represents the bulk of the Palestinian population. Carter made the comments in an article he co-wrote with former Irish president Mary Robinson in a new issue of Foreign Policy magazine. It was published as a cease-fire took hold Tuesday after four weeks of fighting between Israel and Hamas, which governs Gaza. In a sharply worded rebuke to Israel, Carter and Robinson said, "There is no humane or legal justification for the way the Israeli Defense Forces are conducting this war."

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the masterminds behind Obamacare, has now explained that he wishes to die at age 75. In an article in The Atlantic, Emanuel writes, “Seventy-five. That’s how long I want to live: 75 years.” He explains that his daughters disagree; so do his brothers and his friends. But, he says, “I am sure of my position…here is a simple truth that many of us seem to resist: living too long is also a loss. It renders many of us, if not disabled, then faltering and declining, a state that may not be worse than death but

Congress is living in an "evidence-free zone" as it debates issues of equal pay and family-friendly work policies, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Thursday. The Congress increasingly -- despite the best efforts of my friends and others -- is living in an evidence-free zone," she said during a roundtable discussion at the Center for American Progress focused on women´s issues. A village of just 1,000 residents in Switzerland has been forced to raise taxes because an African refugee and her seven children cost the local authority £40,000 in benefits every month. Hagenbuch, in the Swiss canton of Zurich, is understood to be spending close to a third of its total annual budget on the family after they arrived from Eritrea in East Africa three years ago.
