Perry assembles high-powered
legal team to fight indictment

Associated Press, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 8/19/2014 12:19:24 PM

Austin, TX - Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry says he is fighting a criminal indictment with the law on his side — not to mention a team of high-powered attorneys with formidable records in big cases. His lead attorney took on BP after the Deepwater Horizon explosion in the Gulf of Mexico. Another argued before the U.S. Supreme Court and won changes to campaign finance laws. Joining them is George W. Bush’s former lawyer during the Florida recount that decided the 2000 presidential election. That doesn’t even include the Austin attorney who’s been paid at least $80,000 in taxpayer money since a grand jury

Translation: Perry wants to CRUSH the idiots that indicted him. Maybe Travis County will spend tremendous amounts of money and decide to scale back their drunk DA.

My bet - all charges will be dropped by the end of this week. Even the libtards are saying this case is bogus, and the drunken fool DA has to be feeling humiliated by now.

When this is over, I think Perry should demand that the DNC refund all costs to the Texas taxpayers. He may not succeed, but it would be great political theater.

Hope Rick Perry can continue to milk this and shine a light on the Travis county cockroaches and their democrat enablers. There´s a lot of red meat for the LoFos. Just looping video of that DA with the Hannibal Lecter paper mask is invaluable to our cause. Even the editorial at the ny slimes is worried, hence the blatant dog whistle of an editorial piece that´s currently linked to Drudge.

Seattle cancer researchers are hoping that they will be able to use scorpion venom to fight deadly brain cancer through a new product called "Tumor Paint." For the first time, the Food and Drug Administration has approved the product, developed by Blaze Bioscience, for study in human trials in the U.S. During the phase one trial, the tumor paint will be used to on an estimated 21 people with a glioma, or tumor in the brain or spine. In theory the "paint" will light up the tumor with special florescent molecules that will allow surgeons to then remove cancerous tissue more effectively and safely. The tumor paint is created by utilizing a protein

Washington - The parents of Michael Brown said Saturday in an interview with The Associated Press they were unmoved by the apology of the Ferguson, Missouri, police chief weeks after their unarmed 18-year-old son was killed by a police officer. Brown´s mother, Lesley McSpadden, called for Chief Tom Jackson to be fired, and his father, Michael Brown Sr., said rather than an apology, they would rather see Officer Darren Wilson arrested for the death of their son on Aug. 9. "An apology would be when Darren Wilson has handcuffs, processed and charged with murder," Brown Sr. said. The young man, who was black,

Police in Oklahoma said Saturday they´ve interviewed the man who allegedly beheaded a 54-year-old woman at his former workplace. Nolen, 30, was shot inside the Vaughn Food processing plant but regained consciousness in the hospital, said Jeremy Lewis, spokesman for the Moore police department. The Sahara is a harsh, dry climate, and even though it only averages three inches of rain per year, it churns out dust storms that spread far across the Atlantic Ocean and North America. Earlier this month, astronaut Alexander Gerst captured a picturesque view of one such dust storm from a window on the International Space Station. The ISS was over Libya at the time, and this storm reached hundreds of miles across the Sahara. Sen. Rand Paul called for a “revival” in America Friday and a re-examination of how the country is involving itself in the affairs of the Middle East. The country, he said, is in “a full-blown crisis, a spiritual crisis” — and it doesn’t need another politician or more promises. “What America really needs is a revival,” he said. “America needs to revive tradition. American needs to revive virtue.” Mr. Paul, like Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, another potential 2016 contender who spoke earlier Friday at the 2014 Values Voter Summit, devoted a significant part of his speech to talking about Meriam Ibrahim, a woman who refused to

Even though Republicans may take back the Senate by running against amnesty, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush pushed amnesty legislation while stumping for North Carolina Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis on Wednesday. When the U.S. military strikes, its leaders often choose colorful code names for the operation that sometimes stick in history, like Operation Overlord or Rolling Thunder or Desert Storm. Not this time. The U.S.-led air campaign against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria doesn´t have a name. "I know of no plans at this point to name it," Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm.
