Comments:
It´s hard to know who is fighting who because of the constant desire of the LSM to call a spade a spade. Example: Are these Islamic State terrorist, because killing civilians sounds like their MO?

Israel has also ordered its negotiators back from Cairo, where talks aimed at establishing a peace agreement had been ongoing. Call it the no-raises recovery: Five years of economic expansion have done almost nothing to boost paychecks for typical American workers while the rich have gotten richer. Meager improvements since 2009 have barely kept up with a similarly tepid pace of inflation, raising the real value of compensation per hour by only 0.5 percent. That marks the weakest growth since World War II, with increases averaging 9.2 percent at a similar point in past expansions, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data compiled by Bloomberg. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen has zeroed in on faster wage growth as an important milestone for declaring

Returning to the Vatican from a historic five-day visit to South Korea, Pope Francis on Monday said the international community should “stop” the Islamic State group’s attacks on religious minorities in Iraq. Francis also said he would like to visit the war-torn region if it would help end the violence against Christians and other minorities. Reporters traveling on the papal plane asked Francis if he approves of unilateral U.S. airstrikes on Islamic State-held areas where militants have killed, beheaded and forced the conversion of Iraqi Christians and others. “In these cases, where there is an unjust aggression, I can only say that it is licit to stop the

Correction: An earlier version of this post mislabeled the second-largest spending category on children. It is childcare and education. It will cost an average middle-income family nearly a quarter-million dollars to raise a child in 2013 to adulthood. Food, housing, childcare, education and other expenses will total $245,340 by the time the child turns 18, the Department of Agriculture estimates in a new report. That is a 1.8 percent increase over the year before. In 2013 alone, the cost of caring for a child ranges from $12,800 to $14,970. The report relies on data from the Labor Department’s Consumer Expenditure Survey,

Before he was shot and killed, Michael Brown allegedly bum rushed officer Darren Wilson multiple times, punched him in the face, grabbed his gun and caused it to discharge, and even taunted Wilson, saying, "You´re not going to shoot me," according to a woman who claims to know Wilson´s significant other. Last week, "Josie" called into KFTK NewsTalk 97.1 and said Wilson allegedly thought Brown was "on something" and felt Brown´s actions were "unbelievable." CNN has since reported that her recollection matches what Wilson told police after the incident. "Josie" told host Dana Loesch that Wilson´s "significant other told me"

Violence continues in Ferguson, Missouri. It began on August 9 with the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager cut down by a white cop’s bullets. But the rioting only paused; it didn’t cease. Historians will have the rest of the century to unravel the mess that is the Barack Obama presidency. While they can explore these years of foreign policy disaster and domestic malaise at leisure, the rest of us have 29 more months to see just how awful things can get before he slides off to a lucrative retirement. But those who want to start the post-mortem on this historic presidency would do well to read Jackson Diehl’s most recent Washington Post column in which he identifies Obama’s hubris as the key element in his undoing. McDonald’s has a problem. For the first time in 10 years, the company generated less revenue in a month than it did a year before, and it’s not a blip. The world’s biggest burger chain has been posting lagging results for some time, particularly in the United States. Blake Casper says he has a very good idea why. “Companies like Chipotle are doing a great job talking to people about healthy food, and they’re changing the dynamic of how people eat,” said Casper, who owns Tampa Bay’s largest McDonald’s franchise group with his sister Allison Casper Adams. “We embrace that
