Redskins Run Onto Field Before Game
with Hands Up for Michael Brown

CBS DC, by Staff *

Original Article

Posted By:AltaD, 8/19/2014 10:28:22 AM

From nearly 1,000 miles away, several Redskins players used the Monday Night Football stage to draw attention to the situation that has been unfolding in Ferguson, Missouri by running onto FedExField with their hands up in the air. Ferguson is where unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer on Aug. 9. Witnesses have said he was not aggressive toward the officer and had his hands raised above his head before he was shot. As a result, the words “hands up, don’t shoot” have become a rallying cry of protesters, both in Ferguson and online.

Congratulation. Mission accomplished.

NFL games are more like Bloods Vs Crips than a sport, with far too many psychotics gesturing wildly for attention on what was once a team sport. If the preseason games are an indication of the coming season, the NFL will be dominated by dreadlocked freaks along with yellow flags and endless reviews that eliminate the remaining spontaneity of pro football.

There will surely be moments of silence at the season opening games for Michael Brown, whose scholarship to play football-without-classroom at Missouri, Alabama or Florida State was ended before he could even be kicked off the team.

It astounds and disgusts me when individuals glorify illegal behavior because of black solidarity. Trayvon Martin´s JV record was suppressed, and his motives and actions were sanitized to be just this sweet, young, innocent little boy. Far from the truth and facts.

Jake Tapper´s video on CNN last night was akin to Shepherd Smith standing on the bridge during Katrina. Very inflammatory on the poor, innocent citizens just trying to voice their concerns, and the big, bad police presence.

They are tearing apart their community. Totally out of control with agitators riling up the crowds, and very little objective reporting on the real facts behind the case. I keep seeing references to "witnesses report that Michael Brown had his hands in the air." Very few reports from witnesses who say he was charging the policeman.

Shame, SHAME on Redskin players for glorifying this thief!

I don´t watch Redskin football ever since their coach George Allen kicked a field goal against the Giants with a 20 (?) point lead and 3 seconds to play. Asked why he did that he responded, "my kicker needed the practice."
Typically what comes from DC. I will guarantee that every Redskin player who had his hands up was not only black, but has spent time in court for drug use, woman abuse, DUI, holdups or many other acts again American citizens. But what the hell, they´re black and are entitled.

CBS headline writers sucked me in on this piece.... The headline makes it seem like the team took part in this stupid, racist display; the first sentence, however, tells us that only "several Redskins players" acted like fools. If they´re not fined, shame on Dan Snyder. [We stopped watching/rooting for the Redskins when they let Art Monk go to the Jets in ´94.]

In the middle of a reporter’s questioning, she bolted from the podium of the White House pressroom, saying, “Nice to see you,” fleeing a situation she evidently was unable to cope with. The question that caused Ms. Rice to flee was a fairly simple one: whether or not the president has authorized the bombing of targets in Syria. Rice responded multiple times that the timing of strikes would not be released, but that was not the question at hand, and reporters pressed her on whether her boss had authorized
