Preliminary Report: Over A Dozen
Witnesses Back Darren Wilson’s Story

Daily Caller, by Chuck Ross

According to a preliminary report from a St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter, police say that more than a dozen witnesses back Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson’s version of the events that led to the fatal shooting of Michael Brown. Post-Dispatch reporter Christine Byers sent a tweet late Monday teasing her findings.(Snip for tweet)Wilson’s claims match a woman who called herself “Josie” who called into Dana Loesch’s radio show on Friday. CNN confirmed with police officials that Josie’s and Wilson’s versions match. According to Josie, Wilson, a six-year police veteran, claims Brown assaulted and then “bum rushed” him during their encounter on

How tall was Wilson? How could he have shot into the top of Brown´s head (he´s 6´4") unless he was firing from a high position or Brown was bucking his head toward Wilson? Just asking...

The last one was the head shot that took him down. I learned one thing in Vietnam and that was to get on the ground at the first one.

As far as I know, most police departments are still using the 9mm Parabellum caliber in their pistols. It is barely effective as a defensive caliber and was adopted in the 80´s because it was stylish, and because it held over a dozen bullets. It replaced the far more effective .357 that held only six shots.
With the 9mm, shot placement is vital. You must hit a vital area or the criminal will not stop.

Years ago, a local cop got into a beating with a tug in a housing complex. The cop was losing. It took 4 shots, point blank with the 9mm to get him to stop. Departments should switch to 40 cal.

1) How could he have shot him in the top of his head? You apparently never played football and had to stop a fullback heading toward you.

2) Why did it take six shots? Because the first five didn´t take him down. You keep shooting until the bum-rusher drops.

And speaking of bum-rushers, Wilson should have saved a few bullets for CNN.

If would be interesting to see if police investigation found the bullet that was fired in the police car. Also, did forensic check Brown´s hands for powder residue?

Brown was charging Wilson, starting at 35 feet and running full speed. He was shot multiple times in the right limb, but with head down was shot above the right eyebrow and the bullet exited his jar and hit the collarbone. The last shot was probably fired from a distance of five or six feet and Brown
skidded to within 3 feet of Wilson as noted by the abrasions on Brown´s face.

In the family press conference their lawyers disregarded what Biden said about the autopsy. One said the autopsy proved he was shot in the back of the head and it came out his eye and the arm wounds proved his hands were up and was surrendering when shot in the arm

What a crock! They are trying to get the officer arrested(second base) in order to go to(third base)a civil lawsuit against Wilson and Ferguson PD.

Now Holder is coming down to make sure the officer gets arrested to help the cause.

The media should be thrown the HELL out of Ferguson they are the problem by agitating the rioters. The journalists are now making this story their own especially CNN & MSNBC. The media ridicules the Police, i´m
sure if this was happening in Andrea Mitchell´s neighborhood she would want the Police present. The Media is proving to be the disappointment we always thought they were, and now they are also counting down when the next scud missile is going to hit Israel & Humas. As you can see the media can´t walk and chew gum at the same time! How about news about jobs {real job number}, the economy, the invasion through our borders {Where ISIS will be walking through soon} and where are the illegal aliens who invaded our country? Also the media fell for the story Obama gave in his speech yesterday as to why he flew to Washington DC in the middle of his golfing vacation. The reason was none like he claimed in his speech, the real reason he met with big businesses to have them back him when he signs his illegal unconstitutional fiat for amnesty. These big businesses will be his next backdrop in the Rose Garden. If the media only knew how foolish they look and act!

One thing to remember is the facts don´t matter in this case to the msm, holder, obama the black community or Democrats. What they want is a continued state of turmoil or rioting until they get what they want. What they want is a conviction of Wilson and more reparations in the form of Government freebies. CRT teaches that all our laws were written by white men so they are racist and don´t apply to blacks. In my opinion the black community has no problem, actually encourages it, with a confrontational attitude when it comes to police especially white cops. The meme will be you don´t murder someone for a stolen cigar. If as #3 stated the "gentle giant" had gotten on the ground after the first shot then there would be no story.

Why anyone would ascribe to be a LEO in other than Mayberry USA is a question worthy of debate in serious venues such as by the ladies of The View.

I´m sure Whoopi can clear up this perplexing question with a pronouncement about murder versus murder murder.

#13, as I recall, Holder wanted to hit George Zimmerman with federal charges and was keeping that option open. After all the facts came out in court and GZ was acquitted, it became pretty obvious that Holder had no case. If there is any justice left in this country, the same will happen with Darren Wilson.

Never let a crisis go to waste and if there is not a crisis, create one. The media had it sound like Brown was Little Red Riding Hood going to see grandma. Just like Trayvon was just going to get little brother candy. Both were involved with drugs and not thinking. Now we have the revenge artists ramping up. What is so sick is the media allowing the thugs to get in the camera and use their phones to tell their friends that they are on tv and it has become a circus. This is not what MLK had in mind for justice. He would be ashamed of this kind of despicable behavior by thugs, just thugs with pants down and shirts over their heads acting like jackasses.

#12, as a former LEO and spouse of a LEO, we have raised our two sons to believe that they can be anything they want to be, except a police officer.

The changes in attitude towards law enforcement over the past 30 years have been remarkable. It is currently the only job in the world where you put your life on the line every single day and are universally hated, especially in the inner cities and especially if you are white. If you act to defend yourself, you risk being railroaded to prison to please the screaming masses you spend your life trying to defend.

It´s not worth it anymore. Back in the day, you were respected. Now you are laughed at, harassed and persecuted.

The media likes to emphasize the "35 feet" as an indication of how far away Brown was. Heck, 35 feet is under ten yards--a standard training distance for self-defense shooting.

Oh, by the way, with regard to 9mm ammunition: the game has changed. The newer 9mm ammunition does a very decent job, not quite as good as .45acp, but still very good. Besides a duty gun loaded with 9mm holds twice as many rounds as one loaded with .45acp, yet with much less felt recoil.

This is not your father´s 9mm.

Don´t be bothering angry rioters with truth!

I do think the prosecutors need to rethink the importance of keeping their facts protected when the facts serve no purpose in a future conviction and a community is falling apart.

Agree with above posters about the effectiveness if the 9mm. You can help it some with hot rounds, but a .45 it ain´t.

#14 has good point about the middle of the street in broad daylight aspect of shooting down an unarmed young man in front of witnesses. --- not likely!

Two other points (1) Did it seem strange to anyone that minutes before the shooting Brown without any attempt to disguise his identity brazenly strong arms a store owner ? He´s done this before. He lives in this neighborhood and my guess is he´s a known thug. (2) He is clearly wearing a St. Louis Cardinal cap that is shown in the store video an one shot in the street. Unless the cap came off during the melee, that would explain the lack of powder residue on the head. In other words, final shot could have been much closer during the "bum rush".

This event is a kind of Rorshach Test for Lefties. Ask them to assume that a 6´4" 290 lb. man first jumps a cop in his car, tries to get his gun, smashes him in the face before running a short distance, then commanded to stop by the cop with pistol in hand, turns and runs toward the cop. Assuming those as fact, should the cop defend himself by firing or stand and take his chances?

I´ll bet most confirmed Lefties will side with taking a beating because the huge attacker "is unarmed" even though the guys arms are small trees.

If a suspect is running uprite you shoot for the pelvises,it stops a rush every time. If the head is down shoot the top of the head. The policeman made the correct shot .

#19 is correct about new ammo making the 9mm a better choice for defense. However the various departments make choices of what types of ammo an officer can use in his or her firearm. I will keep my .45 ACP with improved ammo as feel shooting twice is just silly.

The Obama clan has ordered millions of rounds of .40 hollow points to use against civilians by all departments.
We know that full jacketed are the conventional target practice and hollow point for destructive human stopping.
Police departments would be wise to go .40 hollow point and double tap to center mass for stopping power.

All of the Doubting Thomas´s should do a test: Have a 18 yr. old teen walk 35 feet away from you and yell freeze and then have him bull rush you. Hold an empty pistol and pull the trigger 6 or seven times. Then see how close the teen is to you. As Mark Furman says/said that it took 3 seconds for all of the shots to be fired and then Brown almost fell at the feet of Officer Wilson? The last shot probable hit Brown while he was falling forward, thusly striking him on the top of his head.
The MSM seems to think Officer Wilson had 5 minutes to casually aim and execute the gentle bull rushing giant? Imho.

Going to the tweet of this story from Drudge´s link, you get to read the replies from an nearly uniform liberal group that simply don´t believe it - it doesn´t fit the troupe they´re selling, doesn´t mesh with their view of what they "know" happened, and so is simply discarded as not real, not fact, not true.

So, once again we see that what the liberal believes, he or she believes no matter what facts are presented, and that anything that contradicts their belief system is tossed aside.
Thus, they cannot be reasoned with - for the facts that fly in the face of their perceptions are ignored.

It’s the Obama administration being transparent again. This is the same script (with only minor differences) that they used with Trayvon Martin with most of the key players reprising their roles for the sequel.

Never mind that both Trayvon and Michael were thugs with prior records. (Michael’s juvenile records are “sealed”, which proves they exist.) Never mind that Trayvon had gone to the store to get ingredients for "purple drank" a potent mix of cough syrup and energy drink that´s drunk to get high, or that Michael had just robbed a convenience store of small cigars, that can be turned into "blunts" by replacing the tobacco with marijuana. Never mind that Trayvon was 6’1” and into MMA fighting and Michael was 6’4” and almost 300 pounds.

Get the MSM to portray them as innocent “kids” who were shot by racist white men (in Zimmerman’s case “white Hispanic”) simply because they were black. Then intimidate local authorities into arresting the shooter, even though the evidence indicates that they were within their rights to defend themselves at the time.

Facts don’t matter. This crisis is an opportunity to fire up the liberal base before an election.

#12 The friends of Officer Wilson report that he specifically wanted to work in Ferguson , with the African American community
so " he could make a difference ".
A couple of my white SF buddies decided after doing a couple of tours in Iraq and Afghanistan to become teachers instead of their prior careers.
The enrolled in the Troops to Teachers program, got certified and became teachers in inner city schools.
Because they always wanted to be teachers for starters and also thought they could make a difference
in the lives of black kids.
Theses guys were obviously not Kumbaya types.
One of the first things they were told over and over by other Troops to Teachers is that they would have to stifle their instincts and training when they saw a kid the size of Brown assaulting a
teacher or student.
Which was a daily occurrence. Using any kind of force to rescue the small black female teacher being attacked
would result in the rescuer being arrested for assault and no doubt charged with a civil rights violation.
Two no longer teach anymore, the 3rd now teaches in a suburban Catholic school , which is like being in another world.
Having been on the front lines in inner city schools they feel that no one can make a difference , it´s hopeless.
The home lives of many of the kids was horrendous , the culture of gangs , drugs and aversion to learning was endemic.
I asked my friend the other day if he thought
he might have reached anyone
and he said that one student he felt he made a connection with had graduated and now worked at Wal-Mart and he considered that a success story.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a bio-ethicist and influential health adviser to President Barack Obama, stirred the pot in an article in the October issue of, “The Atlantic” under the headline, “Why I Hope to Die at 75.” “The mayor personally disagrees with his brother’s view on dying at 75, but he also believes it’s important to look at what Zeke was really exploring, which is how to live a full life –

The AARP is asking the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee to remove them from an ad attacking Republican Michigan senatorial candidate Terri Lynn Land. The ad “Deserve” cites the AARP in attacking Land. “Michiganders deserve a Senator that will fight to preserve the Medicare guarantee, not Terri Lynn Land who would slash benefits, raise prescription drug prices, and force seniors to pay thousands more each year,” the ad states. AARP spokesman Matt Hornbeck told BuzzFeed News, “We’d appreciate if they removed AARP from the ad.” A press release sent out by AARP noted they did not authorize the DSCC to use their name

With only about four weeks until the election, and faced with the very real possibility that the Republicans will take back the Senate, President Obama and the Democrats have no choice but to try and put the best spin possible on the economy. In a “60 Minutes” interview Sunday, the president said, “I can put my record against any leader around the world in terms of digging ourselves out of a terrible, almost unprecedented financial crisis. Ronald Reagan used to ask the question, ‘Are you better off than you were four years ago?’ In this case, are you better off

Robert Atherton´s mantra has always been this: better late than never. As in cleaning the garage, getting a health checkup or, say, paying that parking ticket he got 50 years ago in a small town in northern Italy. Not long ago, the 67-year-old Phoenix engineering firm owner was going through a suitcase he carried on an excursion to Europe, a foray with two high school buddies in 1964. And there it was: a ticket he got for parking his motor scooter in a no-stopping zone in Lerici, a village in the oft-traveled northern region of Liguria. Atherton had thrown the ticket into

They used to deport illegal aliens. They used to shoot deserters. But that was then and this is now. So the three Afghan Army deserters who fled Camp Edwards and, after a short sojourn at a local strip club, took off for Canada, are now begging for political “asylum.” And we all know what political asylum means — instant welfare, forever. Instead of going in front of a firing squad, or at least being sent back to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban, the deserters are likely to score EBT cards, MassHealth, WIC vouchers, Section 8 housing, free translators — the full Tsarnaev, in

Tom and Jerry cartoons on television are being accompanied by a warning that they may depict scenes of "racial prejudice". The classic cat and mouse cartoons, some made more than 70 years ago, carry a warning for subscribers to Amazon Prime Instant Video. There have been claims of racist stereotyping in the depiction of a black maid in the cartoon series. Amazon´s warning says such prejudice was once "commonplace" in US society. Tom and Jerry, once a staple of children´s television on British television, is being presented with a cautionary note about "ethnic and racial prejudices".

Kansas Tea Party supporters are threatening to sit out the state’s pivotal Senate election, potentially dealing another blow to the reelection hopes of Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.). Though schisms within the GOP base rarely have such an outsized impact on a general election contest, the lack of support from the conservative base could be devastating to the vulnerable Roberts’s chances against surging independent Greg Orman. Multiple sources tell The Hill that a group of Tea Party leaders in the state are meeting Wednesday to try to decide whether they should go to bat for the incumbent this fall or sit out of

A white Ohio woman is suing a Downers Grove-based sperm bank, alleging that the company mistakenly gave her vials from an African-American donor, a fact that she said has made it difficult for her and her same-sex partner to raise their now 2-year-old daughter in an all-white community. Jennifer Cramblett, of Uniontown, Ohio, alleges in the lawsuit filed Monday in Cook County Circuit Court that Midwest Sperm Bank sent her the vials of an African-American donor´s sperm in September 2011 instead of those of a white donor that she and her white partner had ordered. Americans love animals, even cats. Eight million stray dogs and cats find their way into animal shelters every year, and the lucky ones are adopted into a warm home with a loving family. Shelters are operated by small charities usually called “humane societies,” whose good deeds are funded by private generosity. The Humane Society of the United States trades on the good of others to finance a radical agenda. In May, the Humane Society and a handful of other radical animal-rights groups had to write a $15.8 million check to the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus for damages done. The

In her just-released memoir, 27 year-old "Girls" star Lena Dunham claims that as a 19 year-old Oberlin College student in Ohio, she was raped by a college Republican. In the first chapter that addresses the encounter, Dunham describes the "ill-fated evening of lovemaking" as awkward and hollow. The most sensational moment comes from the fact that "Barry" wasn´t wearing a condom. In the next chapter, Dunham backtracks with the claim that she´s an "unreliable narrator" and accuses "Barry" of rape: [I]n another essay in this book I describe a sexual encounter with a mustachioed campus Republican as the upsetting but

The spin began soon after the threat was isolated. Information was selectively leaked. Half-truths and untruths were uttered. Responsibility was avoided; privileges and credentials asserted; authority reasserted. Trust us. Remain calm. Don’t panic. This is the template of recent events. A mental case jumps the White House fence. He makes it to the East Room before he’s tackled by an off-duty Secret Service agent. Initial statements turn out to be misleading or false. President Obama was at Northwestern University on Thursday to deliver an economic speech that, he and his team hoped, would lay out the case for why the public is better off today than they were six years ago -- even if they didn´t feel it in their everday lives. Instead, Obama just gave every Republican ad-maker in the country more fodder for negative ads linking Democratic candidates to him. Here are the four sentences that will draw all of the attention (they come more than two thirds of the way through the speech): "I am not on the ballot this

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. We’ve got a lot of people looking at the race,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.” That response, which

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

Go to a grocery store in California and buy all the milk, eggs and vegetables you want. But there’s one thing you won’t find at the checkout line, beginning July 1, 2015: Plastic bags to carry your stuff home. Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday signed into law a ban on single-use plastic bags, making California the first state to prohibit stores from using the ubiquitous carry-alls. Shoppers will be charged 10 cents for every paper bag and heavy-duty plastic bag they use. “This bill is a step in the right direction,” Brown said in a press release announcing his approval. “It

Speaking at a Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors event last night, Hillary Clinton decided to talk about Alexis de Tocqueville. The problem? She got it wrong -- by about a hundred years. "There´s a wonderful phrase that was first used by Alexis de Tocqueville, who came to the United States in the very early 1930s and traveled around our country," said Hillary Clinton, a probable 2016 presidential candidate. "And he was so amazed at how Americans organized themselves -- you know, coming from aristocratic Europe, which was totally top-down and hierarchical -- he couldn´t believe how many of us were joiners.
