NYT Weeps for Gaza
American Thinker, by Leo Rennert

Original Article

Spreading from front page to two-thirds of an inside page, the New York Times, in its Aug. 18 edition, goes all out to document the miseries of life in Gaza. Jerusalem bureau chief Jodi Rudoren, reporting from Gaza City, informs readers that “telltale signs of the displaced are everywhere in Gaza”. (“In Torn Gaza, If Roof Stands, It’s Now Home”) And, very diligently, she doesn’t miss any of these signs. In her piece, a lawyer’s office becomes a makeshift home for kids. Sorrow for the convicted killers in jail.

Some women write to these killers, fall in love, and even marry them. Somehow they never see the viciousness. At least the animals remain locked up.

The Slimes is swooning for her imprisoned Gaza sweetheart completely oblivious to the crimes they or their best buddies have committed.

If you want to say it isn´t the fault of the average person, baloney. If you hang around with or tolerate the presence of criminals, you have to suffer the side effects of their presence. If the Slimes was rational they would be talking of how to get rid of Hamas so the other people in the strip could get better conditions.

I´m surprised the Slimes isn´t complaining that poor Hamas is having to hide in tunnels. They would probably advocate for more comfortable accommodations from which to launch their rockets against Israel.

This is just more proof of how undeserving the Slimes is to preside over the media world. They have lost all rationality.

OP, when they stop being liberals, that´s when.

Not a single word about Israeli casualties, whether before or since July 17.

Another dead Jew is one too few to suit Rudoren and the self-hating New York Times, it seems.

As the article states, Israel went out of its way to prevent civilian deaths by giving them notice of impending attacks. Who does this in the history of war? No one. Yet Bibi did it because they are mensches, not savages like Hamas.

The attempt by the NYT at moral equivalency between Hamas and Israel disgusts me. The US once was inhabited by people like those who now seem to live only in Israel--those who believe in their country, have moral clarity and will fight to preserve it. We, on the other hand, seem to be populated by sniveling little jerks who believe in nothing except government hand-outs.

America is suddenly angry at the laxity, incompetence, and polarizing politics of the Obama administration, the bad optics of the president putting about in his bright golf clothes while the world burns. Certainly, no recent president has failed on so many fronts — honesty, transparency, truthfulness, the economy, foreign policy, the duties of the commander-in-chief, executive responsibilities, and spiritual leadership. For those who are “shocked” at the present meltdown, of a magnitude not seen since the annus horribilis of 1979, in their defense: Obama certainly did not campaign on a new health-care plan that would force Americans to give up the

How Best Not to Respond to ISIS

For the left, American power must never be exercised except in the direst of situations, and even then, it must not be a unilateral exercise of power. This is the logic underlying the White House response to ISIS, or the Islamic State, as it calls itself. At this time, the U.S. military has the capacity to obliterate this gang of thugs with a relatively modest projection of force. If the administration continues to drag its feet, it will be much harder. Yet Obama continues to drag his feet, because he believes that America “leads from behind.”

Obama Demonstrates Fear, not Courage

Challenging times call for extraordinary courage. But at the risk of sounding indelicate, the only cojones associated with President Obama are the ones lined up on the putting green, where his frequent appearances have given rise to a new meaning of the term “stay the course.” You’d think the so-called leader of the free world would at least sound courageous. But at recent press conferences, Mr. President has sauntered in, often late, leaned nonchalantly on the podium, and delivered a lackluster “lecture” in a tone of voice more peremptory than somber. His record for ambiguity and dullness reached a nadir of

August 22 is another deadline for the Obama administration’s IRS officials to come clean about their clear malfeasance in office. Judge Emmet Sullivan, who has acted sua sponte to compel IRS officials to provide all the details surrounding the “lost” e-mails, has the reputation of a judicial pit bull, a federal judge who insists that his orders and his office be treated with proper respect. Placing himself directly in the middle of this scandal, Judge Sullivan has removed the favored riposte by the left: attack the questioner. Sullivan is a black jurist from Howard University, perhaps the most respected black university

One reason predictions of a Mitt Romney victory in 2012 were inaccurate, say analysts, is that the turnout among certain Democrat constituencies — in particular blacks and Hispanics -- was greater than expected. And what a significant factor this is! Whether we call it getting out the vote, having a great “ground game” or just turnout, it can make or break an election. But while the phrase “getting out the vote” is well understood, there is a lesser known election strategy: getting in the vote. What’s the difference? While the former involves getting as many as possible of the set number

WASHINGTON — The Senate’s minority whip is confident about Republicans being the majority in the 114th Congress — if conservatives can set aside differences and work to combat the massive influx of donor cash that has Democratic campaigns ahead in the money race. Only in the majority, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) stresses, can conservatives make headway on tamping down overregulation, repealing and replacing Obamacare, securing the “chaotic” border, getting Keystone XL moving, and bringing civilized debate back to the upper chamber. And only by realizing the gravity of the battle for November, he argues, can Republicans relegate Harry Reid (D-Nev.)

President Barack Obama has taken a lot of flack since his Sunday night “60 Minutes” interview, in which he blamed the intelligence community for his failure to tackle the threat posed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. And that is right and proper. Because not only was his excuse of blaming us a lie, but when questioned on his lie, White House press secretary Josh Earnest doubled down with a whole new lie — both of which are easily, publicly proven false. On Sunday, Obama said the intelligence community had underestimated the rise of ISIS, saying in an interview

Americans turned away from watching Obama even though he was being interviewed about the nation’s new war on ISIS. Sacramento, Calif. - Gov. A national coalition of plastic bag manufacturers immediately said it would seek a voter referendum to repeal the law, which is scheduled to take effect in July 2015. Under SB270, plastic bags will be phased out of large grocery stores starting next summer and convenience stores and pharmacies in 2016.
