Telegraph U.K., by Georgia Graham

Britain will not be involved in another war in Iraq, David Cameron has vowed. The Prime Minister said the British government would not put be "putting boots on the ground" or "sending in the army" in its fight against the "murderous" Islamic State, formerly ISIS. However, he warned that terrorists trained by IS will cause “mayhem on our own streets” if the “political and extremism” crisis in Iraq is not dealt with. Michael Fallon warned that Britain´s mission in Iraq will last for months as RAF Tornados and surveillance aircraft are deployed to help "stop the advance" of Islamic State extremists. David Cameron said

Cameron says he wants to see a Muslim leading the British government and the Army, and he also dislikes seeing so many white faces in leadership roles.

Mayor Bill de Blasio has groundhog blood on his hands! A week after Hizzoner dropped Staten Island Chuck in front of a crowd of spectators on Feb. 2, the winter-weather prognosticator died of internal injuries — and then the coverup began, The Post has learned. Staten Island Zoo officials went to great lengths to hide the death from the public — and keep secret the fact that “Chuck” was actually “Charlotte,” a female impostor, sources said Wednesday. Modal Trigger The zoo told a few Staten Island Zoo supporters, but claimed the groundhog died of natural causes. Photo: Staten Island Advance The stand-in was found

Iraq looms large again for Hillary Clinton

When Hillary Rodham Clinton sat down on a Manhattan stage with CNN’s Sanjay Gupta, the planned topic for discussion was babies’ brains and how to improve infant development around the globe. Instead, the first three questions from Gupta focused on the U.S. airstrikes raining down on Iraq and Syria, aimed at defeating the expanding Islamic State terrorist group. “I support what they are doing,” Clinton said in the interview Wednesday, referring to her former colleagues in the Obama administration. “I personally believe the way they have thought this through and planned it and limited our involvement, avoids [Islamic State] achieving

In his United Nations speech, President Obama will bring up the summer shooting in Ferguson, Missouri. "I realize that America’s critics will be quick to point out that at times we too have failed to live up to our ideals; that America has plenty of problems within our own borders. This is true," Obama will say, according to prepared text of his address. "In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri – where a young man was killed, and a community was

Ann Romney on Tuesday added a little more fuel to speculation that her husband, former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, may make a third run for the White House. On Fox News’s Cavuto, Ann was asked about a scenario in which former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, a moderate Republican and a potential 2016 candidate in his own right, decides not to run. “Well, we will see, won’t we, Neil?” Ann said to show host Neil Cavuto. “I think Jeb probably will end up running, myself… He’s probably looking at it very carefully.” Ann suggested that a run by Bush would discourage another run

The Obama White House is once again at the center of a story on the balance between government transparency and freedom of the press. Paul Farhi in the Washington Post writes that the press office in the current White House has on several occasions meddled with the pool reports on President Barack Obama. Pool reports are dispatches of Obama’s public or semi-public appearances written by professional reporters who are selected on a rotating basis by the independent White House Correspondents’ Association. The reports are written throughout the day and sent to the White House press office, which in turn then distributes them

On Sunday, tens of thousands of committed leftists held “climate change” world rallies. Thousands descended on New York City, marching through the heart of Manhattan with a message of alarm for world leaders. The far left activists are worried about the effects of global warming despite the fact that the US just went through its coldest winter in a century and Antarctic sea ice is at record levels. The alarmists are worried about global warming. But, they let others worry about their trash.

Iran is on the cusp of experiencing a major political crisis as regime insiders jockey for power in what intelligence reports indicate is the coming end to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s 25-year reign as head of the country. Khamenei, who rose to power as Iran’s second supreme leader in 1989, was in the hospital last week to undergo prostate surgery. The well-publicized surgery—coupled with 2010 U.S. diplomatic cables stating that Khamenei has terminal caner—suggest that the regime is “preparing the nation and the world for a transition to a third supreme leader,” according to a report released by the global intelligence giant

While poverty isn´t a joking matter, I can´t help but laugh whenever I read about politicians, celebrities and pundits on both sides trying and failing to live on food stamps and the minimum wage. It´s obvious they have never been poor nor are they very resourceful individuals. At the same time that liberals are posting the horrors of starving kids in New York City, Michele Obama is bemoaning the rise of childhood obesity that only she can stem. Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is in a behind-the-scenes struggle with the White House, congressional Democrats and Washington insiders who have lost confidence in her as both a unifying leader and reliable party spokesperson at a time when they need her most. Long-simmering doubts about her have reached a peak after two recent public flubs: criticizing the White House’s handling of the border crisis and comparing the tea party to wife beaters. The perception of critics is that Wasserman Schultz spends more energy tending to her own political ambitions than helping Democrats win. This includes using meetings with

PARIS -- About half of Iraq´s army is incapable of partnering effectively with the U.S. to roll back the Islamic State group´s territorial gains in western and northern Iraq, and the other half needs to be partially rebuilt with U.S. training and additional equipment, the top U.S. military officer said Wednesday. Gen. Eric Holder Jr., the nation´s first black U.S. attorney general, is preparing to announce his resignation Thursday after a tumultuous tenure marked by civil rights advances, national security threats, reforms to the criminal justice system and five and a half years of fights with Republicans in Congress. Two sources familiar with the decision tell NPR that Holder, 63, intends to leave the Justice Department as soon as his successor is confirmed, a process that could run through 2014 and even into next year. A former U.S. government official says Holder has been increasingly "adamant" about his desire to leave soon

The View is a television show that, apparently, a lot of women watch. Currently, Rosie O’Donnell, who was once famous for something–I have no idea what–is one of the hosts. Still, many women watch. So this video of The View’s women grappling with the Obama administration’s response to ISIS terrorism is noteworthy. I want to highlight O’Donnell’s contribution near the end: We are bombing Syria because Syria has so much oil, so there is a “financial incentive.” What the Hell is this supposed to mean? Why are liberals obsessed with oil? And what, exactly, is the “financial incentive?” Here is the

President Obama on Wednesday delivered a speech at the United Nations filled with his usual soaring rhetoric of global collectivism and the importance of “international norms.” But the president also displayed a shocking naivete about global affairs, religion, Islam — a Pollyannaish interpretation on the state of the world and America’s role in it. Although Mr. Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize just eight months into office, the president made his annual trip to the ineffectual world council to deliver a call to war. “Ladies and gentlemen, we come together at a crossroads between war and peace,

Normally, no one would care that in a recent Atlantic essay — “Why I Hope to Die at 75” — 57-year-old Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel argued that living to be 75 years old was long enough for anyone. After 75, Emanuel suggests, “We are no longer remembered as vibrant and engaged but as feeble, ineffectual, even pathetic.” But Emanuel is no garden-variety crackpot. Nor is he a wannabe science-fiction writer dreaming of a centrally planned planet of robust youthful humanoids. Unfortunately, he was one of the chief architects of the troubled Affordable Care Act and a key medical advisor to the Obama

Even though Republicans may take back the Senate by running against amnesty, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush pushed amnesty legislation while stumping for North Carolina Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis on Wednesday. Bush, according to the New York Times, reportedly said that comprehensive immigration reform "will restore and sustain economic growth for this country." And even though a recent Gallup poll found that illegal immigration is now the top concern among Republicans, Bush said that if immigration reform is "framed in that way, I don’t think there’s a big debate in the Republican Party about the need to do this."

The Los Angeles City Council voted Wednesday to raise the minimum wage for hotel workers to $15.37, one of the highest wage requirements in the country. Hotel workers in yellow shirts packed City Hall as the council voted 12 to 3 to approve the measure, which will go into effect for hotels with at least 300 rooms beginning in July. Hotels with 150 rooms or more will have to meet the wage requirement a year later. “Hotel workers are here because they want family-supporting wages,” said Maria Elena Durazo, executive secretary-treasurer of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, during the public

With the mid-term elections weeks away, many conservatives are confronting a difficult choice. Assuming there are no solid conservatives on the ballot, do we vote for establishment candidates? Or not vote at all? The reasons why some conservatives are on the fence or planning not to vote are well known. (And Democrats are loving every minute of it!) “Establishment Republicans have attacked us and I refuse to support any of them.” “I’m sick of RINO’s. They’re no better than the Democrats.” “Other than a few strong conservatives, the rest of the GOP stands for nothing.” I share these frustrations. Of all the malfeasances of William Jefferson Clinton the one that would have most justified a removal from office was not the Monica hijinks, even with the attendant lying under oath and absurd parsings of the word “is,” but the pardoning of Marc Rich — the billionaire international commodities trader and mammoth contributor to, er, Clinton. Luckily for Bill, this action occurred on the last day of his presidency, making anything like impeachment moot, even though it was an example of political corruption that would have made Boss Tweed envious. President Barack Obama favorably quoted and praised on Wednesday in his speech before the United Nations a controversial Muslim cleric whose organization has reportedly endorsed the terror group Hamas and supported a fatwa condoning the murder of U.S. soldiers in Iraq. Obama in his remarks offered praise to controversial cleric Sheikh Abdallah Bin Bayyah and referred to him as a moderate Muslim leader who can help combat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s (ISIL or ISIS) radical ideology. However, Bin Bayyah himself has long been engulfed in controversy for many of his views, including the reported backing of
