Amended Ceasefire Proposal
Includes Terrorist Releases

Arutz Sheva [Israel], by Ari Yashar

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 8/18/2014 7:39:44 AM

The amendments to the Egyptian 11-point truce proposal submitted by the Palestinian Arab delegation in Cairo was revealed on Monday morning, hours ahead of the end of the current ceasefire at midnight. [Snip] It also specifically calls for open trade between PA-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria with Gaza to include building materials, despite the use of cement to build terror tunnels. It is worth noting that Hamas has clarified that any truce deal would be seen only as an opportunity to plan the next terror war on Israel. The fourth clause adds to the call to have Israel coordinate

Comments:
Unbelievable. I left out a number of juicy bits because I wanted busy Ldotters to see this particularly luscious morsel:

It is worth noting that Hamas has clarified that any truce deal would be seen only as an opportunity to plan the next terror war on Israel.

And still most of the western world ignores, nay, approves attacks on Israel, never mind the other demands slipped in at the last minute. The PA wants Israel to pay the salaries of Hamas officials???

You can´t make up this stuff.

British jets make spy
flights over Iraq every day
Daily Express [UK], by John Ingham    Original Article

British spy planes were gathering intelligence on Islamic State fighters in Iraq yesterday as David Cameron warned the group poses a “clear danger” to safety on the streets of the UK. A new Rivet Joint plane joined six unarmed RAF Tornado GR4s to fly daily patrols from Cyprus over swathes of northern Iraq controlled by the brutal Sunni Muslim militants. They are sharing the intelligence with the US which has been carrying out airstrikes against IS fighters. [Snip] British troops have also been briefly on the ground in Kurdistan, ready to help Chinook helicopters airlift besieged civilians to safety.

Britain was dragged deeper into the Iraq crisis last night as it emerged another 150 special forces troops are being deployed. Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said the mission had escalated beyond a humanitarian one and could last for months. British forces are now helping Iraq to ‘combat’ the rise of Islamic State and its extreme form of terrorism, he said. And in his most uncompromising intervention to date, Prime Minister David Cameron warned that the situation may now require ‘military action to go after the terrorists’. He said the Islamist fanatics of IS had to be stopped before they became

Kurdish forces in northern Iraq have taken control of Iraq´s largest dam after its capture by Islamic State (IS) militants, Kurdish officials say. Kurdish ground forces supported by US air strikes launched the operation to take Mosul dam on Sunday morning. Kurdish sources said they were still trying to clear mines and booby traps from the area round the dam, a process which could take several hours. The strategically important dam was seized by IS militants on 7 August. It supplies water and electricity to northern Iraq and there had been fears the IS militants could use it to flood

Nick Di Iorio, 28, Republican candidate for the 12th Congressional District in New York, experienced personally the precarious security situation in Israel on his visit to the Holy Land last week. A car driving Di Iorio from a visit to Sderot toward Jerusalem came under attack by a group of Arab boys “who hurled rocks at us and laughed,” Di Iorio recalled. Also in the car with Di Iorio was New York based philanthropist Ken Abramowitz, Chairman of American Friends of Likud, who accompanied him on his visit to Israel. True to its usual ritual of condemning Israel and establishing an international commission of inquiry against it, the UN Council for Human Rights is directly responsible for the systematic killing of scores of Palestinians in Gaza. The bitter Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been going on for over 60 years and is rife with blood and emotion. Traditionally, the world, including Israel, has thought of the conflict as about territory, as a clash between cultures or a historical struggle. Big oil and gas is starting to really like U.S. Sen. Tim Scott. The junior Republican from South Carolina is listed as the No. 4 recipient in campaign donations this election season that businesses tied to the oil and gas industry gave to the members of Congress´ upper chamber. Scott, a senator for less than two years, has collected $226,401 for the 2014 election cycle from groups with oil and gas ties, according to an analysis by the government watchdog OpenSecrets.org/Center for Responsive Politics. A British Army colonel´s life was saved by a US soldier who jumped in front of an assassin´s hail of bullets, it has been reported. The US Army reservist, who normally works for Apple, the Silicon Valley-based electronics company, was shot six times as an Afghan assailant opened fire on a group of high-ranking officers at a military training academy earlier this month, The Sunday Times said. The reservist, who has not been named, used his body as a shield to literally "take a bullet" for the senior British officer, and was hit twice in the leg and once in the shoulder, with a further three rounds stopped by his bulletproof vest.

Stability. Security. The peace of mind that comes from being able to get a decent job and provide for your family, in a country that you feel has a good future ahead of it and that treats people fairly. In a nutshell, that is what people in Britain want--and what the Government I lead is dedicated to building. [Snip] True security will only be achieved if we use all our resources--aid, diplomacy, our military prowess--to help bring about a more stable world. They say a prosecutor could get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich, and this always seemed like hyperbole, until Friday night a Texas grand jury announced an indictment of governor Rick Perry. The “crime” for which Perry faces a sentence of 5 to 99 years in prison is vetoing funding for a state agency. The conventions of reporting — which treat the fact of an indictment as the primary news, and its merit as a secondary analytic question — make it difficult for people reading the news to grasp just how farfetched this indictment is. The Obama administration has done little to calm racial tensions as they spread from Manhattan to St. Louis to Los Angeles. Quite the opposite, some top officials have fueled African-American fears of racism with false accusations of anti-black discrimination. Attorney General Eric Holder’s race-baiting is no secret. Justice Department documents show the nation’s top cop gave thousands of dollars to help the Rev. Al Sharpton organize marches protesting the death of Trayvon Martin. Now he’s sent the civil-rights unit to St. Louis to do the same thing in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown. Less known, however, is the role of Labor Secretary Thomas

Officers are seeking the person who shot the critically-wounded victim after the 12am-5am curfew took hold in Ferguson, Missouri - eight days after Michael Brown, 18, was shot dead by police. The party left me.” Without doubt, the party under Barack Obama has left those Jews who view Israel’s security as threatened. Obama recently told a New York Times interviewer, “Because Israel is so capable militarily, I don’t worry about Israel’s survival.” That’s shocking, considering Iran’s threat to wipe Israel off the map once it gets nukes. Department of Justice spokesman Brian Fallon said it will be performed at the request of Brown´s family in addition to the one conducted by the state. A grand jury in Travis County, Texas, indicted Governor Rick Perry today. Why? For exercising his constitutional prerogative by threatening to veto, and then vetoing, an appropriation to support the public corruption unit in Travis County’s district attorney’s office. This followed the arrest of the county’s district attorney, Democratic Party activist Rosemary Lehmberg, for drunk driving, after she was found “with an open bottle of vodka in the front passenger seat of her car in a church parking lot in Austin.” Ms. Lehmberg served 45 days in jail. The Travis County district attorney’s office has long been a cesspool of corruption.

McDonald’s has a problem. For the first time in 10 years, the company generated less revenue in a month than it did a year before, and it’s not a blip. The world’s biggest burger chain has been posting lagging results for some time, particularly in the United States. Blake Casper says he has a very good idea why. “Companies like Chipotle are doing a great job talking to people about healthy food, and they’re changing the dynamic of how people eat,” said Casper, who owns Tampa Bay’s largest McDonald’s franchise group with his sister Allison Casper Adams. “We embrace that

Gregory, 43, who moderated the show for six years, was unceremoniously dumped from the political program on Thursday after dismal ratings and months of speculation about his departure. He has been replaced by NBC White House correspondent Chuck Todd.
