White House meets with
big biz on immigration

Politico, by Carrie Budoff Brown and Ann Palmer

Original Article

Posted By:Fiesta del sol, 8/18/2014 6:23:47 AM

Senior White House officials are in talks with business leaders that could expand the executive actions President Barack Obama takes on immigration. Obama was initially expected to focus only on slowing deportations of potentially millions of undocumented immigrants and altering federal enforcement policies. Now top aides are talking with leaders in big companies like Cisco, Intel and Accenture, hoping to add more changes that would get them on board. Representatives for high-tech, agriculture and construction interests have put forward a range of fixes, from recapturing unused green cards to tweaking existing work authorization programs.

Whatever you do, keep looking the other way during the importation of this slave class. After all, the labor laws have made Ameican workers more expensive than they´re worth. Gotta do something.
The extra costs to taxpayers are just part of the price of doing business.

Uncontrolled immigration, legal and otherwise, undemines wages paid to workers at all skill levels. There is no shortage of American tech workers. Companies pretend there is because they don´t want to pay competitive salaries to highly trained Americans.

Much of my life has been spent in areas so Democrap-controlled that even saying something nice about any Republican is just "not done".
And for many of those years, I heard claims that those eeevil Rescumlicans were conniving with Big Business and "plutocrats" (show image of the banker in Monopoly) to stick it to the People. I grew to understand that this was the sort of propaganda that my neighbors learned growing up. Gus Hall did live around here for quite a while.
Now, sadly, it appears that a great deal of what they were saying is in fact true. Quite obviously, it IS Big Bizness and some trust fund babies and "Progressives" in both major parties (like the Bush clan) that are united in their desire and intent to demolish the social fabric of the nation and to condemn much of the citizenry to be redefined as Subjects, if not serfs.

Voter turnout during last month´s primary races was a little too good in some counties, Arizona elections officials said Friday. Some precincts in northern Arizona tallied more ballots cast than there are registered voters, the Arizona Capitol Times reported. According to officials, errors made by poll workers and elections officials in Apache and Navajo counties led to the miscalculations. Initial reports from some precincts showed a turnout of anywhere from 200 to 400 percent. In Apache County, the Puerco West precinct reportedly had 100 votes cast, but only 23 voters are registered there. The voter turnout added up to 434

Devastating. That´s really the only way to describe Politico´s piece on DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (I hereby nominate her for Worst Week in Washington.) (Editor´s note: Three words -- Joseph. Robinette. Biden.) Based on interviews with DNC staffers -- both former and current -- the piece described Wasserman Schultz as something of a modern-day Tracy Flick: over-eager, disloyal and not shy about promoting her ambitions. It would be fair to say that she sounds like, well, a lot like other politicians. And this would be accurate.
