This Is Who Texas Democrats Are Defending
Power Line, by Steven Hayward

Scott lays out below the farce of the indictment of Texas Governor Rick Perry, but let’s not move on before taking in the proximate cause of political dispute, the conduct of Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, who ironically runs the “public integrity section” of the DA’s office while obviously having no public integrity whatsoever. If you have 15 minutes of leisure and a strong threshold against disgust, take in these two videos of Ms. Lehmberg in action, first in her DUI stop (where her blood-alcohol level was .23), and then, even better, her appalling jailhouse behavior:

Comments:
Can´t wait for THIS to get on the news. The dullards who depend on the alphabets and CNN will predictably remain uninformed.

Rosemary Lehmberg is a disgrace to the state of Texas. Rick Perry should deport her to MLK Blvd in Ferguson MO.

This woman should have been removed from office. It flies in the face of common sense that she has been allowed to remain as District Attorney.

So far have not noticed these videos being shown on network news. CBS did show a short clip of it.

We must remember, she has that "D" after her name. Tends to skew just what is disclosed to the public.

She is not a petite woman. To have a blood alcohol content of .23 she had to consume a lot of drinks. A lot. Most people would have passed out from that much alcohol. A couple more drinks and she might have killed herself.

Rosemary Lehmberg could be the Dems new Sandra Fluke - their moral authority is exactly the same, and so representative of what the party really stands for.

She is the perfect heroine for the dimocrat party. Obnoxious and disgusting. They´ll lover her.

She talks about this ruining her career. Well, very few ever heard of, much less saw, all this evidence against her. With this indictment, she is now the laughing stock of the country. Dumb move to push for this indictment, but it makes sense if you´re a dimocrat.

I watched both videos and she is disgusting especially in the police booking. I don´t know how those two women cops kept their cool when she was slamming them. What got me was the motion she used to simulate a gun and aimed it at the camera. What a piece of work. Go Perry!

#4, according to what I read in another article, authorities say she would have to have had 10 drinks in one hour to have that blood alcohol level. Also, she had an open bottle of vodka on the front seat. Receipts from her favored liquor store show that she bought vodka in 1 1/2 liter bottles and that she spent $4,400 on booze in the last year.

What is so stark to me is that there are MORE demonRATS defending this drunken, obnoxious criminal, than there are republicans DEFENDING Perry. DemonRATS do these things because they know they can rely on the media to help them. Dems don´t care how bad this might look, they got the indictment against Perry, period, and that´s all the lofo´s need to know. Disgusting, and it works.

Why on earth Travis County officials didn´t can her sizable arse immediately after this is beyond me. She was clearly drunk, and I read elsewhere that the cops stopped her in the first place because of 911 calls from other drivers, worried about her, and what she might do to others.

I Also understand Gov. Perry even offered to appoint another dimwit - er, excuse me, Dimocrat - to the position if she resigned. Apparently that offer was declined.

Well, as they say in the south, ´´Bless her heart.´´ The little finger-gun at the end is classic. It´s always the libs who ascribe to violence for the sake of the violence. I wonder what her official public position is on gun control. Anyone know?

If Gov. Perry has to work with Travis County, and he has been a good governor for Texas for over a decade, then perhaps he is presidential material and able to work with just about anybody. He is handling this like a champ, if you ask me.

Couple of things: Democrats run Travis County; libs from UT, hippie and high-tech types from California.

The reason they didn´t want the Drunk DA to quit was that, under state law, Gov. Perry could replace the "one tough lesbian" (her term, by the way) and a Republican with the power to run kangaroo courts like the drunk and her predecessor, Ronnie Earl, just couldn´t be allowed.

Kinda like how they rallied around lying Bill Clinton when he LIED UNDER OATH.

For some reason, the state of Texas puts the post similar to special prosecutor against State officials in the Travis County DA. Perry basically told the drunk DA to quit or lose the state money for their persecution against Republicans.

She didn´t quit. He vetoed the money.

Obviously, that´s not allowed by Democrats when it´s done to them.

The View is a television show that, apparently, a lot of women watch. Currently, Rosie O’Donnell, who was once famous for something–I have no idea what–is one of the hosts. Still, many women watch. So this video of The View’s women grappling with the Obama administration’s response to ISIS terrorism is noteworthy. I want to highlight O’Donnell’s contribution near the end: We are bombing Syria because Syria has so much oil, so there is a “financial incentive.” What the Hell is this supposed to mean? Why are liberals obsessed with oil? And what, exactly, is the “financial incentive?” Here is the

Eric Holder Jr., the nation´s first black U.S. attorney general, is preparing to announce his resignation Thursday after a tumultuous tenure marked by civil rights advances, national security threats, reforms to the criminal justice system and five and a half years of fights with Republicans in Congress. Two sources familiar with the decision tell NPR that Holder, 63, intends to leave the Justice Department as soon as his successor is confirmed, a process that could run through 2014 and even into next year. A former U.S. government official says Holder has been increasingly "adamant" about his desire to leave soon

President Obama on Wednesday delivered a speech at the United Nations filled with his usual soaring rhetoric of global collectivism and the importance of “international norms.” But the president also displayed a shocking naivete about global affairs, religion, Islam — a Pollyannaish interpretation on the state of the world and America’s role in it. Although Mr. Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize just eight months into office, the president made his annual trip to the ineffectual world council to deliver a call to war. “Ladies and gentlemen, we come together at a crossroads between war and peace,

Even though Republicans may take back the Senate by running against amnesty, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush pushed amnesty legislation while stumping for North Carolina Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis on Wednesday. Bush, according to the New York Times, reportedly said that comprehensive immigration reform "will restore and sustain economic growth for this country." And even though a recent Gallup poll found that illegal immigration is now the top concern among Republicans, Bush said that if immigration reform is "framed in that way, I don’t think there’s a big debate in the Republican Party about the need to do this."

Normally, no one would care that in a recent Atlantic essay — “Why I Hope to Die at 75” — 57-year-old Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel argued that living to be 75 years old was long enough for anyone. After 75, Emanuel suggests, “We are no longer remembered as vibrant and engaged but as feeble, ineffectual, even pathetic.” But Emanuel is no garden-variety crackpot. Nor is he a wannabe science-fiction writer dreaming of a centrally planned planet of robust youthful humanoids. With the mid-term elections weeks away, many conservatives are confronting a difficult choice. Assuming there are no solid conservatives on the ballot, do we vote for establishment candidates? Of all the malfeasances of William Jefferson Clinton the one that would have most justified a removal from office was not the Monica hijinks, even with the attendant lying under oath and absurd parsings of the word “is,” but the pardoning of Marc Rich — the billionaire international commodities trader and mammoth contributor to, er, Clinton. Luckily for Bill, this action occurred on the last day of his presidency, making anything like impeachment moot, even though it was an example of political corruption that would have made Boss Tweed envious.
